Average Annual Salary: $48,000 to $55,000

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The Facilities Maintenance Instructor reports to the CTT Supervisor and is a salaried, exempt position.
  • The Facilities Maintenance Instructor performs as an instructor in a regular classroom setting, presenting instructions in designated subject area.
  • The Facilities Maintenance Instructor promotes a positive and desirable atmosphere within the classroom setting to insure maximum student motivation and learning.
  • Meets SMART Goals established by management every Program Year.
  • Instructs on the Facilities Maintenance curriculum in accordance with the Job Corps requirements and program specifications.
  • Counsels and motivates students regarding behavior, training, personal and/or study habits and problems.
  • Individualizes Facilities Maintenance curriculum to fit the students’ choice of vocation and maintains contact with vocational counselors and instructors.
  • Prepares reports such as student/staff hours, requisitions, and monthly student evaluations.
  • Work collaboratively with BCL-WBL Coordinator to implement the School to Career / Work-Based Learning Program as well as identify possible new WBL site partners.
  • Meets monthly with Career Counselors, BCL-WBL Coordinator and trainees on their evaluations.

Qualifications:

  • Certified, licensed, or accredited in the state in which the center is located, or is accredited by a professional trade organization. (RO may waive if center is unable to hire certified or licensed instructors, but candidates must pursue certification)
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record preferred.
  • Required to pass a drug screen in compliance with our Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy.
  • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a nationwide criminal background check.

Additional Requirements: Knowledge of required subject area. Ability to transfer topical knowledge to meet specific learning objectives fluently in English. Ability to compose descriptive reports. Able to use appropriate techniques to implement programmatic activities. Excellent organizational skills. Ability to obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid Certification. Ability to motivate and inspire students and effectively relate to the trainee population. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Use precision-measuring instruments such as hand tools screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, pressure gauges, as well as power tools such a pneumatic wrench, jacks, hoists, and operate fork lift as needed to complete inspections and routine maintenance of Class 8 trucks, terminal tractors, delivery trucks, pickup trucks, automobiles, and heavy equipment and trailers.
  • Perform preventative maintenance through regular changes of fluids and filters, lubricating moving parts to detect and identify failures or possible failures of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and structural components.
  • Check all fluid levels, belts, headlights, taillights, and interior lights.
  • Inspect engine, brakes, transmission, boom cylinders, fifth wheel, axle driveline.
  • Inspect windshield wiper mechanism, cab glass, steering components, lighting system, fuel system, charging systems, and cabs.
  • Perform routine oil changes and parts lubrication per specified schedule.
  • Perform minor replacements, repairs, and adjustments as needed.
  • Examine protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices on trucks and make adjustments.
  • Drive truck to verify conformance to specifications.
  • Detect unusual noises while operating equipment.
  • Submit the required job completion paperwork to Shop Manager.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • At least 1 year of diesel or mechanical repair experience
  • Valid drivers' license

Pet Paradise Resort is seeking an experienced Facilities Maintenance Associate to perform general maintenance, preventive maintenance, and repair work for our resort. 

Required Qualifications:

  • Two to Four years of related experience
  • Must have own vehicle
  • Must have Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly
  • HVAC Certification

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience and knowledge HVAC, Carpentry, Painting, Plumbing and General Repairs
  • Certification in one or more areas via a technical school or other specialized school

Job Summary
Help invent the future of flight, lift people up, and bring them home safely as a GE Aerospace intern/co-op! You'll build leadership and technical skills in a supply chain/manufacturing role, working on challenging, real-world problems and solve for what the world needs. You will build relationships with interns/co-ops and leaders, and you'll prepare for a potential full-time position after graduation in one of our fantastic leadership programs or direct hire opportunity.
You'll be placed taking your preferences into account while also considering your major, year of schooling, and business needs at the time of placement. Willingness and ability to work in any of the 35+ GE Aerospace U.S. locations.
Essential Responsibilities
EHS stands for Environment, Health, and Safety. On this track you can also be involved in Facilities and Maintenance. In this role you will be responsible for any workforce efforts to protect the health and safety of GE Aerospace employees, the public, as well as the environment from hazards. This may include industrial hygiene, hazard assessments, risk abatement, environmental (wastewater management, hazard/non-hazard waste disposal, air regulations, compliance with regulatory agencies) Ergonomics, and addressing safety concerns. In this role you will be understanding our EHS management systems and framework. Coach employees and teams to develop a sustainable process and structure to meet all EHS requirements. Sustainability efforts as it relates to wastewater and air in our manufacturing processes. Occupational health and wellness. This is a great opportunity for an individual interested in our OMLP program after graduation.
Qualifications/Requirements:
+ Minimum 3.0 cumulative G.P.A. on a 4.0 scale without rounding
+ Attending a full-time registered and nationally accredited bachelor or graduate program (accepted majors are listed below)
+ Willingness and ability to work in any of the 35+ GE Aerospace U.S. locations
+ Reliable transportation, as many of our sites do not have public transportation available
