POSITION SUMMARY

The Quality & Continuous Improvement Manager provides strategic and tactical leadership for all quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives within the organization. This role ensures compliance with customer requirements, regulatory standards, and internal policies while driving efficiency, cost reduction, and culture change through Lean, Six Sigma, and problem-solving methodologies. The Manager is a key business partner to Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain, ensuring that quality and productivity goals are achieved to support company growth and profitability.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.   

Quality Management

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the company’s Quality Management System to meet ISO, customer, and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee all quality audits (internal, external, customer, regulatory), corrective actions, and management reviews.
  • Establish and track critical quality metrics such as scrap/rework, customer returns, ppm, first-pass yield, and warranty claims.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action using structured problem-solving tools.
  • Manage supplier quality, including qualification, scorecards, audits, and incoming inspection programs.
  • Provide technical guidance for inspection methods, testing protocols, gaging/measurement systems, and statistical process control (SPC).


Continuous Improvement (CI)

  • Lead the site’s continuous improvement strategy, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.
  • Facilitate Kaizen events, value stream mapping, and waste elimination initiatives across all departments.
  • Deploy Lean tools such as 5S, standard work, visual management, SMED, TPM, and process mapping.
  • Drive measurable improvements in Overall Equipment Effectiveness, lead time, on-time delivery, and cost per unit.
  • Identify and lead strategic cost-reduction projects tied to business objectives.


Leadership & Collaboration

  • Direct, coach, and develop the Quality/CI team to ensure strong performance, engagement, and succession planning.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for customer quality concerns, ensuring timely response and resolution.
  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain to ensure design, process, and supplier quality are proactively managed.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 7+ years in quality, continuous improvement, or operations roles in a manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Certifications: Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, Lean Practitioner/Leader, ASQ CQE or CQM.

Preferred : CQE/CQM with 3+ years of leadership experience managing to a quality standard such as: ISO9001, AS9100, IATF16949, or ISO13485

  • Strong knowledge of quality tools and methodologies (SPC, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, APQP).
  • Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams and driving measurable results.
  • Proficient with ERP/MES systems, quality software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.


LANGUAGE SKILLS

**POSITION SUMMARY**

_Analytical Thinking_
+ Create and manage the factory M&I budget in line with finance including maintenance cost improvement projects
+ Coordinates the use of corporate, plant and external engineering resources to ensure alignment with OMP. Align M&I strategy with key stakeholders (Vice Presidents of Manufacturing, Market Chief Engineer, and factory leadership
+ Monitor factory Key Performance Indicators and annual objectives and targets.

**QUALIFICATIONS:**
+ B.S. degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical or Electrical.
+ Minimum 5-7 years' experience in a technical field, preferably in food manufacturing or consumer goods industry, of which several years were as leader in maintenance or engineering

PURPOSE
This CORE Customer Solutions Manager can be residence based if the incumbent resides and works within the contiguous United States time zones. It also can be based at the Whippany, NJ facility.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
+ Improving customer service experience, creating engaged customers and facilitating organic growth;
+ Responsibilities cover multiple functional areas in: O2B Management, Customer Relations Management, Financial Management and Administrative Systems Support including government and regulatory affairs for those accounts directly managed by numerous account managers located within the organization;

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:
REQUIRES QUALIFICATIONS
+ Bachelor's degree with minimum 6 years of experience in Order-to-Cash and Supply Chain; alternatively, Master's Degree with 2 years of experience;
+ Must have at least 3 years of SAP experience;
+ Excellent planning, organization, and prioritizing abilities;
+ Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills;
+ Excellent customer awareness and focus;
+ Strong communication/presentation skills also required both oral and written;
+ Able to develop, present, and explain in depth reports using various SAP & Microsoft applications);
+ Comfortable working directly with all levels of customer's management and internal stakeholder;
+ Experience in dealing with Hospitals, GPO's and IDN's located throughout the United States. (with emphasis in Logistics Management and/or Supply Chain Management).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
+ Experience in an Order-to-Cash pharmaceutical, medical device, consumer health or FMCG industry.
Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $71,900.00 to $107,000.00. Additional compensation may include a bonus or incentive compensation (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc.
This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant's location, market data/ranges, an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.

Job Summary:

The Assistant Store Manager works to support the success and profitability of the store. They are responsible for leading

the day-to-day operations of the store in the absence of the Store Manager. They hold a crucial role because they provide

leadership and guidance and enforce standards and policies for store personnel when the Store Manager is away from the

store. The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for supporting the Store Manager in leading, facilitating and

completing all store level tasks including food preparation, cash register duties, customer service, cleaning and all

other related functions. The Assistant Store Manager ensures an exceptional customer experience by ensuring and

demonstrating world class customer service.


Essential Functions:

-Smile and greet customers in a friendly manner as they enter the store. Provide a fast, friendly and enjoyable

experience for all customers. Respond to and resolve customer requests or complaints in a timely and efficient manner.

Engage each customer genuinely and thank them for their business.

-Operate a cash register adhering to all Company policies and standards. Maintain proper cash levels and follow all cash

handling and shift change processes and procedures to ensure no cash shortages occur.

-Supervise the day-to-day task assignments and performance for all team members. Assist with all matters pertaining

recruiting, hiring, training, coaching, and employee engagement and performance management.

-When necessary, assist the Store Manager with planning and preparing work schedules and coordinating daily activities

to serve the needs of the store.

-Monitor and report all competitive fuel prices every morning and as changes occur. Ensure gas price changes are made

accurately and timely.

-Interact with and motivate team members to drive sales plans, promotions and programs in order to meet store objectives.

-When necessary, order stock adhering to par levels and plan-o-grams. Ensure vendors do not overstock or bring in unauthorized product.

-Complete daily reports and paperwork entry correctly and timely.

-Research cash shortages and report violations to the Store Manager or District Manager.

-Prepare deposits according to Company Policy and deliver deposits to the bank on a daily basis.

-Adhere to and enforce federal and state laws, and company policy regarding the sale of alcohol, tobacco, lottery and all other age restricted products.

-Ensure the proper execution of assigned foodservice programs and procedures. Assure fresh, quality food, hot coffee

and beverages are available at all times.

-Follow and enforce Friendly Express uniform, appearance, and dress code policies.

-Adhere to and enforce the execution of established safety and security policies and procedures

-Ensure the proper execution of all assigned store level marketing programs.

-Suggestively sell promotions, food and beverage specials and Friendly Express loyalty programs.

-Complete all store housekeeping functions (i.e., Cleaning, dusting, sweeping, mopping, emptying trash, cleaning

restrooms, cleaning food service equipment, policing parking areas and lot, cleaning gas pumps, etc.)

-Replenish products and supplies to ensure in stock conditions at all times. Rotate and front-face stock to ensure

freshness and quality of products and easy customer access. Remove damaged and out-of-code merchandise from the shelves.

Keep store looking neat and attractive.

-Communicate with the Store Manager regarding customer requests or complaints and any vendor related concerns. Report

all theft and any suspected shoplifting.

-Check in external and internal vendors according to standards and procedures.

-Follow and enforce all company policies, procedures, and quality standards.

-Assume other duties and responsibilities as assigned to accommodate store operational needs.

-Lead by example with a sense of urgency and purpose, treating others with a positive and respectful attitude.

-Represent the Friendly Express brand by exemplifying Friendly Express core values.

Requirements:

-Must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for this position.

-Must maintain a current, valid, unrestricted driver’s license with an insurable driving record.

-Basic language and mathematical skills.

-Ability to Multi-task, perform repeated bending, reaching, prolonged standing, and be able to occasionally lift up to

50 pounds.

-Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

-Ability to work 40 hours per week. Willingness and availability to work to work all shifts, weekends, nights, and

holidays as required by the needs of the business.

Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, or a related field OR have 8+ years of relevant technical experience.

Bring hands-on expertise in one or more of the following: pcb bare board development, assembly of components, electrical fabrication, micro/nanoelectronics, and/or 3D printing of electronics.

Demonstrate strong leadership, organizational, and planning skills, along with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

The AGS will provide support to recruit, develop and lead all aspects of a highly skilled workforce, work closely with the other Group, Assistant Group and Section Supervisors of the Department to create and sustain a culture of technical excellence, cross-enterprise collaboration, and innovation, lead and contribute technically to sponsor and internally funded work performed in the Group. As an Assistant Group Supervisor ( Deputy Manager - Prototype Manufacturing) you will Your primary reponsibility will be to work with the Group Supervisor to help lead an organization that fabricates hardware used to explore other planets and interstellar space through various NASA missions, as well as building prototype hardware, in support of our nation's national security interests around the world.
