Essentials Functions/Responsibility
The Associate, Business Control & Risk Management operates within the First Line of Defense and is accountable to assist the CIB Business
Control Unit in driving effective and consistent business line execution against the Enterprise Risk Management Framework.
Specifically, the Associate works to identify, assess key risks and control effectiveness throughout the assigned business line by driving business unit adherence with applicable risk frameworks, Corporate/Business Line policies and standards. The incumbent will also assist with completion of business line risk initiatives, as assigned, such as risk assessments, KRI/KPI development and monitoring, and on-time remediation of issues.
The Associate must be able to effectively partner with various stakeholders.
Job Function Description
Monitors activities to minimize the Corporate & Investment Bank's (CIB) exposure to risk. Activities may include quantitative analysis, risk identification and remediation. Represents or supports the reputation of the company to minimize compliance and regulatory risk by resolving issues and ensuring adherence to company and legal standards. Responsible for ensuring that all of the company's activities adhere to the necessary rules and regulations, and that the company complies with legal/regulatory statutes and jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities
Facilitate scenario analysis exercises in coordination with business units and CIN Business Control Officers (BCO), documenting key assumptions, impacts, and mitigation strategies.
Support the BCOs in the execution of the firm’s Material Risk Identification and Assessment (MRIA) program, ensuring timely updates and accurate documentation in risk management systems.
Assist in the development and refinement of key risk indicators (KRIs), and monitor thresholds to identify emerging trends and trigger appropriate escalation.
Prepare and review enterprise risk MIS and reporting for BCOs, senior management and governance forums, with a focus on material risk trends, KRI performance, and scenario outcomes.
Partner with BCOs and risk owners to ensure enterprise risks are appropriately identified, assessed, and managed in alignment with risk appetite and control frameworks.
Maintain risk program documentation and support regular reviews and enhancements to scenario analysis, material risk, and KRI processes.
Qualifications
Knowledge of the financial services sector, particularly the products and services of a commercial or investment bank.
Advanced understanding of the regulatory environment and how the risks of the products and services the bank offers are viewed by the Second Line of Defense and regulators.
Strong project management skills.
Ability to build internal and external networks of information resources within the risk management ecosystem.

The Difference You Make:
The Business Control & Risk Management VP operates within the First Line of Defense and is accountable to assist the Business Control & Risk Management team in driving effective and consistent business line execution against the Enterprise Risk Management Framework.
The incumbent is expected to champion the Business Control mandate as a critical business partner guiding stakeholders to embed risk management practices in the 1st line. Accountabilities (For Non-exempt Employees Include Percent of Effort):
50% Meets requirements of Pain Management Senior Nurse
Performs all responsibilities/duties required by the Pain Management department/patient care services as specific to the scope of service, to ensure that the unique nature of the client is addressed.
Demonstrates knowledge of basic information pertaining to all Pain Management procedures and exams. Assists physician with all procedures. Communicates relevant findings to Physicians. Coordinate special needs/requirements as it relates to specific procedures (anesthesia, etc). Consult with Physician for the necessity of pre-medication. Ensures that all necessary pre-procedure lab values and when necessary EKG, CXR, and medical clearance requirements. Provides pre-procedure information to patients 24 hours prior to scheduled procedure Provides pre and post Pain Management procedure teachings. Facilitates continuity of care-by organizing, conducting and participating in patient care conferences. Assists and expedites the transfer of patients to and from the Pain Management Area. Ensures that all appropriate documentation has been completed prior to procedure such as: Consent, Modified History and Physical, ASA scores.
50% - Nursing Process Assessment
Performs assessments and reassessments focusing on the physical and psychosocial health status of the patient in an ongoing timely and systematic manner. Obtains baseline information utilized for the development of individualized patient plan of care. Provides direct and indirect patient and family care to assess needs. Facilitates/patient/family education with interdisciplinary team involvement. Monitors patient’s progress against plan of care until discharge from designated patient care area. Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members to identify potential barriers and variances to the plan of care. Documents in UM Care program intra-procedure assessment of patient condition.

Job Description
What would you do? – The Specifics
- Drives, monitors, and achieves profit, sales and performance goals according to National Vision standards. Monitors retail operating costs, budgets, and resources.
- Optimizes and oversees the eyeglass department to ensure efficiency and compliance with company’s policies and operational guidelines. Identifies areas of opportunity and creates an action plan for improvement.
- Conveys a commitment to providing outstanding customer service and ensures all associates do the same.
- Ensures quality standards are met.
- Ensures effective merchandising and execution of marketing, pricing promotions, and initiatives according to Brand and Company standards.
- Supervises and motivates Opticians and CL Sales associates (in some stores the Receptionist) and ensures the timely completion of day-to-day functions.
- Assists the General Manager with forecasting staffing needs, recruiting, selecting and retaining a high caliber staff.
- Leads and coaches associates towards the attainment of sales and customer service goals.
- Mentor potential Apprentice Opticians as permitted by law.
Qualifications

- Maintain Optical license as required by the state.
- Optical sales experience. Supervising experience is preferred.
- Proven ability to lead, coach and build associate relationships.
- Sound understanding of store operations and standards for success.
- Strong communication skills (both oral and written) for effective management of teams.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Strong organizational skills for planning work and continuously monitoring progress towards goals.
- Ability to analyze, create, and understand financial reports.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve problems of varied scope.
- ABO and NCLE Certified
