**What you'll do**
+ Conduct quality inspections during the installation process to ensure work meets plans and specifications
+ Perform final inspections as requested by customers to ensure compliance with construction standards
+ Identify issues and report them to relevant team members for resolution
+ Record and follow up on non-compliance issues until they are resolved
+ Ensure all required testing is completed as specified and document the results
+ Follow installation milestones and support project activities as directed by management
+ Work overtime, travel, and handle on-call or after-hours responsibilities as needed, and perform duties in all weather conditions

**Responsibilities:**
+ Evaluate calls and cases to assess performance based on a standard set of criteria, providing constructive feedback and recognition to employees to ensure high performance and continuous improvement.

Our client, a leading name in the advanced materials manufacturing sector, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Remote Senior Quality Control Engineer to strengthen their operations. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to contribute to product excellence from your home office anywhere in the US. You will be instrumental in developing, implementing, and maintaining robust quality control systems and processes that ensure our products consistently meet the highest industry standards. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in quality assurance, statistical process control, and a meticulous approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive quality control systems and procedures in accordance with industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
  • Design and execute quality inspection and testing protocols for raw materials, in-process components, and finished goods.
  • Utilize statistical process control (SPC) techniques to monitor production processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Analyze quality data to identify trends, root causes of defects, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Lead internal audits and support external quality audits.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and R&D teams to ensure product quality throughout the development and production lifecycle.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for production staff on quality control procedures and best practices.
  • Manage and maintain quality documentation, including inspection records, test results, and non-conformance reports.
  • Stay current with relevant quality standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing product quality and reducing manufacturing costs.
  • Evaluate and approve new quality control equipment and methodologies.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on quality-related matters to cross-functional teams.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for quality-related inquiries and issue resolution in a remote capacity.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Chemical, or related discipline), or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience in quality control or quality assurance roles within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven expertise in statistical process control (SPC), Six Sigma, and Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Strong understanding of ISO 9001 or other relevant quality management systems.
  • Experience with various quality inspection tools and techniques.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively document processes and findings.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively in a remote setting.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality and accuracy.
  • Experience in the advanced materials or related manufacturing industry is highly desirable.
  • Must have a dedicated and well-equipped home office space conducive to focused work.
