As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining machinery used in the production of automotive and fuel system components. Your role will involve ensuring machines are running efficiently, maintaining high-quality standards, and troubleshooting issues to prevent production delays. You will work in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety protocols and quality guidelines.
Job Qualifications Include:
- Must meet the minimum requirements for the Assembly Operator position
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Ability to work unsupervised and follow through with instructions
- Must be in good standing with the company
- Willingness to work overtime on short notice, including weekends
- Ability to work quickly while maintaining safety standards
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Operate assembly and auxiliary machines/equipment
- Maintain production rates on operator-assisted equipment
- Review product quality and assist with housekeeping requirements
- Keep the assigned workstation organized and clean
- Remain at the workstation unless on an authorized break or lunch

Job Description
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: Works from schedules, shop orders, product/process spec sheets, blueprints, and test instructions which are written or on the computer. Reviews production schedules for specific periods and arranges for parts, materials, supplies, tooling, gauges, and other equipment to meet production requirements. Releases blanket orders and passes Kanban cards to both external and internal vendors. Makes electrical connections and solder, rivets, stakes or press to secure parts into products where sequence of operations are generally prescribed, but substantial freedom as to order is left to assembler. Accumulates and moves items between storage areas and work cell. Troubleshoots and corrects all malfunctions. Uses and understands various computer screens to check a part's bin location, status of material, production orders, fill out parts requisitions etc. Fills out non-conforming ticket and processes non-conforming material disposition (including deleting components out of inventory in computer system). Uses hand and power tools, pallet jacks, hand trucks, fixed gauges, jigs, meters, soldering irons, microcomputer, fax machine, riveters, and presses. Performs preventative maintenance (cleaning, oiling, inspecting, and minor adjustments) on equipment in the work cell. Trains new and existing employees how to effectively work within the department, instructs them in all facets of the work cell operation. Follows safety rules and keeps work cell area in a clean and orderly condition. Performs related duties as required.
Education, Work Experience and Skills: High School diploma or equivalent required. Passing score on the comprehension tests as determined by the Company. Experience with light mechanical and/or electrical assembly required. Ability to operate power tools, hand tools, pallet jacks, hand trucks, fixed gauges, jigs, meters, soldering irons, riveters, presses and crimping tools required. Mechanical aptitude, attention to detail and sound judgment required. Must possess knowledge to build, tune, and set up meters/gauges and related fixturing to verify that all units meet applicable requirements. Must be able to fill out proper paperwork and make computer system transactions
Wage range $18.77 - $21.87 with increases every 6 months
