**Summary**
The Technician - Quality Control is directly responsible for inbound quality check and outbound processing of rental equipment. This role will be directly responsible for the daily quality control check and outbound staging of rental equipment in accordance to procedure(s) to ensure integrity is maintained in our reservations and equipment readiness. This position requires teamwork, communication, and technical skills.
This position will support our Audio Visual and Event Technology team. The position follows an in-person schedule working full-time in-office and/or show-site based out of McCook, IL.
**Essential Duties & Responsibilities**
+ Process daily intake and quality checks of assigned equipment
+ Prioritize workload based on outbound equipment needs
+ Stage outbound equipment
+ Assist in the maintenance of assigned stock of parts, accessories and ancillaries required to return equipment to a rentable state
+ Maintain the physical appearance and functional form of assigned area
+ Perform basic equipment repair and troubleshooting
+ Collaborate and accelerate innovations in QC tooling, practices and execution
+ Assist in training/development of warehouse staff
+ Ensure sound safety and risk policies and procedures through assigned areas
+ Promote teamwork and communication between all warehouse operations
+ Assists other departments as needed
+ Performs other duties as assigned
**Education & Experience**
+ High School Diploma or Equivalent with relevant work experience required
+ Minimum 2 years of related experience within event production and/or warehouse operations

The Quality Control Technician is responsible for conducting routine and non-routine tests on in-process samples, finished products, ingredients, and manufacturing supplies. This role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and performing minor repairs on laboratory apparatus, as well as inputting data into the computer for various reports.
Responsibilities
+ Perform routine and non-routine tests on in-process samples, finished products, ingredients, and manufacturing supplies.
+ Conduct special tests and projects related to operations as required.
+ Use, maintain, troubleshoot, and perform minor repairs on standard laboratory apparatus.
+ Observe Good Laboratory Practices while performing analyses.
+ Compare test results and disseminate information as necessary.
+ Enter data into the computer to maintain permanent records of all finished analyses, out-of-specification reports, and end-of-month reports.
+ Monitor inventory of necessary chemicals and equipment, and place orders for timely replacement or repair.
+ Compare test results with current specifications and advise supervisory and production personnel of problems or out-of-code situations.
+ Make recommendations regarding the cause and resolution of problems.
+ Evaluate results independently to ensure accuracy before alerting supervisory or production personnel.
+ Collaborate with production to solve problems, including auditing quality performance by operators.
+ Maintain high standards of cleanliness and housekeeping in the laboratory work area.
+ Engage in various activities related to food safety and support the plant's GMP and Food Safety programs.
Essential Skills
+ 1-3 years of experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control within food manufacturing or similar industries.
+ High School Diploma or Equivalent Education required.
+ High level of formal training on laboratory procedures or equivalent work experience.
+ Experience with production processes and procedures.
+ In-depth knowledge of laboratory equipment.
+ Ability to walk/sit for extended periods.
+ Flexibility to rotate shifts as required.
+ Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft suite products.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Certifications in SQF and PCQI are preferred.
+ Experience with SAP or similar software is desirable.
+ Excellent communication skills and ability to work with all levels of process personnel.
+ Strong mental reasoning abilities, including interpreting instructions and writing reports.
+ Mathematical reasoning skills for calculating data and solving practical problems.
+ Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Work Environment
The role is based in a food manufacturing environment, with the majority of the day spent in the quality office (85%) and the production floor (15%). Occasional overtime may be required, including Saturdays or longer shifts during busy production periods. Saturday hours typically do not follow the 3rd shift.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Summit Argo, Illinois.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
