**Summary**
The Technician - Quality Control is directly responsible for inbound quality check and outbound processing of rental equipment. This role will be directly responsible for the daily quality control check and outbound staging of rental equipment in accordance to procedure(s) to ensure integrity is maintained in our reservations and equipment readiness. This position requires teamwork, communication, and technical skills.
This position will support our Audio Visual and Event Technology team. The position follows an in-person schedule working full-time in-office and/or show-site based out of McCook, IL.
**Essential Duties & Responsibilities**
+ Process daily intake and quality checks of assigned equipment
+ Prioritize workload based on outbound equipment needs
+ Stage outbound equipment
+ Assist in the maintenance of assigned stock of parts, accessories and ancillaries required to return equipment to a rentable state
+ Maintain the physical appearance and functional form of assigned area
+ Perform basic equipment repair and troubleshooting
+ Collaborate and accelerate innovations in QC tooling, practices and execution
+ Assist in training/development of warehouse staff
+ Ensure sound safety and risk policies and procedures through assigned areas
+ Promote teamwork and communication between all warehouse operations
+ Assists other departments as needed
+ Performs other duties as assigned
**Education & Experience**
+ High School Diploma or Equivalent with relevant work experience required
+ Minimum 2 years of related experience within event production and/or warehouse operations

Quality Control Inspector - Day Shift

Join our dynamic team as a Quality Control Inspector, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our component parts and completed products. Your keen eye and attention to detail will be vital as you perform inspections using various measuring tools and visual assessments.

As a Quality Control Inspector, you will:

  • Conduct thorough final inspections on all switches and orders prior to shipment.
  • Train production staff on effective process control techniques.
  • Execute internal process audits and report findings promptly.
  • Have the authority to halt non-conforming processes after notifying your supervisor.
  • Communicate any discrepancies in drawings to the Engineering team.
  • Engage in customer inspections as required.
  • Guide team members in completing Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
  • Draft Customer Improvement Initiatives (CII) based on audit findings.
  • Report ISO standard violations to the Quality Manager.
  • Participate in prototype review for newly developed products as necessary.
  • Assist with dimensional analysis of components to identify potential quality issues.
  • Collaborate with product engineering, manufacturing engineering, and production to create and implement process control charts for critical processes.
  • Maintain a safe and clean workspace by adhering to established procedures and regulations.
  • Utilize equipment and supplies efficiently to conserve resources.
  • Contribute to team success by training others on inspection tasks as needed.
  • Ensure all work is inspected before it progresses to the next phase.
  • Accurately document actions by completing relevant production and quality forms.

We are looking for candidates who possess:

  • The ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, bills of material, and wiring diagrams.
  • Basic computer skills in MS Word and Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
  • Familiarity with measuring instruments like calipers and micrometers, and multimeters.
  • Experience using both hand and power tools.
  • A high school diploma, GED, or relevant work experience.
  • The ability to comprehend and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred).

Physical demands of the position include:

  • Medium to heavy physical demands per the US Department of Labor's classification.
  • Lifting up to 75 pounds occasionally with assistance, and up to 40 pounds frequently.
  • Carrying up to 40 pounds occasionally, and pushing/pulling up to 40 pounds frequently.
  • Continuous standing and walking, with frequent bending/stooping and squatting/kneeling.
  • Frequent lifting and manipulation of tools and products.

Job Title: Batch Mixing LeadJob Description
The Batch Mixing Lead plays a crucial role in ensuring the proper batching of formulas according to specified work orders. This position requires expertise in blending, batching, and quality control processes within the chemical industry.
Responsibilities
+ Follow batching procedures in accordance with the work order.
+ Perform batching of formulas by following prescribed proportions and sequencing of blends.
+ Submit samples to the lab for Quality Control release once the batch is properly blended.
+ Modify batches as directed by chemists if formulas do not meet Quality Control standards and resubmit samples.
+ Mark tanks with appropriate product identification in accordance with HAZMAT labeling requirements once formulas are approved.
+ Transfer products using properly coded transfer hoses to hold tanks, totes, or drums, and apply proper product identification labeling to all related containers.
+ Flush batch tanks according to proper procedure, verify pH is neutral, and cap tanks.
Essential Skills/Qualifications
+ 3-5 years of experience as a batching lead within the chemical industry.
+ Proficiency in batching, batch mixing, chemical blending, and compounding.
+ Strong knowledge of quality control processes.
+ Experience as a lead or supervisor in batching within the chemical industry.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
