**JOB SUMMARY**
Responsible for inspecting the product to identify quality issues and assisting with product repacking as needed.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Provide technical, customer relations, and personnel management for major programs and projects.
+ Conduct daily walk-through of assigned coolers to check the quality of the product and identify any quality issues.
+ Check dates of product for proper product rotation by date.
+ Remove any distressed product, determine what product needs reworking and what product should be discarded.
+ Rework all distressed/damaged products.
+ Communicate quality issues to buyers, management, and associates.
+ Report all lost products or transfers.
+ Assure that all inventory is properly blocked and labeled.
+ Assist in inventory counts.
+ Instructs handlers in the proper method of loading trucks.
+ All product loaded must be transported without damage
**QUALIFICATIONS**
**Education**
Prefer High School or GED
**Experience**
A minimum of two (2) years related experience (knowledge of produce industry preferred).
**Skills**
+ Ability to operate warehouse power equipment.
+ Ability to interact with others in a professional manner.
+ Good verbal and written communication skills.
+ General understanding of the shipping procedures of a high-volume warehouse operation.
+ Solid understanding of produce varieties handled in a wholesale operation.

**General Summary**
The Quality Control Inspector ensures that all Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) work under IDIQ contracts comply with the specified quality standards, contract requirements, and applicable codes. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
+ Inspect all work under IDIQ task orders to ensure conformance with contract specifications, approved plans, and applicable codes.
+ Develop and maintain project-specific Quality Control Plans (QCPs) tailored to each task order.
+ Conduct and document three-phase inspections (Preparatory, Initial, Follow-Up) for all definable features of work.

+ Prepare daily and weekly QC reports with photographic documentation and accurate records of observations.

**Knowledge, Experience and Skill Requirements**

This role oversees quality control operations at three (3) precast concrete facilities, ensuring products meet internal standards, project specifications, and DOT regulations. The Quality Control Manager collaborates with production, engineering, dispatch, and sales teams to maintain and improve product quality.
Key Responsibilities
+ Develop, implement, and maintain Quality Control Program
+ Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies, DOTs, and NPCA requirements
+ Lead approval processes in new areas of growth and development
+ Primary point of contact during NPCA audits
+ Coordinate with DOTs or other jurisdictions
+ Oversee raw material and concrete testing documentation

ABOUT THE ROLE

Performs quality control tests for the specific product line in accordance with established local or national standards. This position will be required to conduct quality control tests within the precision standards established by ASTM and AASHTO. The position will be required to report results upward and seek assistance to analyze data. Conducts in depth problem solving, detailed data and trend analysis, and troubleshooting associated with aggregate material performance. This position also assists the Material Performance Manager of the product line in the implementation of best practices and techniques, in regards to product quality and quality initiatives.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Observe and enforce all Amrize Safety Standards, Advisories, and Policies.
  • Be a responsible advocate for on-the-job safety and the environment.
  • Carries out ongoing lab and field sampling. Testing to ensure that material produced and shipped meet State, project and customer specifications and expectations. Failure to do so will result in rejection of products that could produce significant negative impact to (1) Market Area financials and (2) Amrize's image in the marketplace.
  • Assist with the development, administration, implementation and documentation of material control plans and related material performance data, procedures and project-specific quality control.
  • Perform some service, repair, and calibration of laboratory and field testing equipment on a timely basis.
  • Carries out regular updates to appropriate Quality Control and Quality Assurance test databases and spreadsheets and provide report summaries or analyses as needed.
  • Able to learn the basic operations of cement, asphalt or aggregate plants.
  • Provide troubleshooting guidance and advice, for various customers both internal and external.
  • Technical material performance support and expertise provided for all plants in geographic area.
  • Recommend and assist with plant changes to ensure conformance and consistency.
  • Assist Plant Superintendents and Managers as required.
  • Assist Material Performance personnel in other areas, when available.


WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Education: High school diploma or equivalent At least 2 years of experience.

Additional Requirements:

  • Two years of post-secondary technical education or equivalent in experience.
  • Availability and willingness to work flexible hours including some nights and weekends to meet customer needs.

Technician Quality Control I

ABOUT THE ROLE

Performs quality control tests for the specific product line in accordance with established local or national standards. This position will be required to conduct quality control tests within the precision standards established by ASTM and AASHTO. The position will be required to report results upward and seek assistance to analyze data. Conducts in depth problem solving, detailed data and trend analysis, and troubleshooting associated with aggregate material performance. This position also assists the Material Performance Manager of the product line in the implementation of best practices and techniques, in regards to product quality and quality initiatives.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Observe and enforce all Amrize Safety Standards, Advisories, and Policies.
  • Be a responsible advocate for on-the-job safety and the environment.
  • Carries out ongoing lab and field sampling. Testing to ensure that material produced and shipped meet State, project and customer specifications and expectations. Failure to do so will result in rejection of products that could produce significant negative impact to (1) Market Area financials and (2) Amrize's image in the marketplace.
  • Assist with the development, administration, implementation and documentation of material control plans and related material performance data, procedures and project-specific quality control.
  • Perform some service, repair, and calibration of laboratory and field testing equipment on a timely basis.
  • Carries out regular updates to appropriate Quality Control and Quality Assurance test databases and spreadsheets and provide report summaries or analyses as needed.
  • Able to learn the basic operations of cement, asphalt or aggregate plants.
  • Provide troubleshooting guidance and advice, for various customers both internal and external.
  • Technical material performance support and expertise provided for all plants in geographic area.
  • Recommend and assist with plant changes to ensure conformance and consistency.
  • Assist Plant Superintendents and Managers as required.
  • Assist Material Performance personnel in other areas, when available.


WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Education: High school diploma or equivalent At least 2 years of experience.

Additional Requirements:

  • Two years of post-secondary technical education or equivalent in experience.
  • Availability and willingness to work flexible hours including some nights and weekends to meet customer needs.
  • This position requires as an essential function: 1.Reliability 2.Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs over uneven ground for a distance of 300 ft 3.Dependable attendance 4.The ability to get along with co-workers at all levels of the organization. 5.The ability to pass the post offer physical examination and pre-employment drug screening
  • Maintain a plant diary documenting weather conditions, amterial produced, samples taken, problems, corrective actions and general comments related to quality.
  • Educates customers in proper application of all Amrize products.
  • Job coordinator for on-site quality control work as needed.
  • Assist salesmen, superintendents and managers as required.
  • Customer service with regards to testing and product information.
  • Completion of testing in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for own ongoing maintenance, calibration and calibration documentation of testing equipment.
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Subject to applicable law, employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
