The Quality Control (QC) Technician is responsible for testing and approving raw materials and manufactured products to ensure compliance with internal procedures and customer specifications. This role involves performing inspections throughout the production process and analyzing statistical data to maintain product quality. Essential Functions Conduct quality control tests on raw materials and finished products per established guidelines. Perform First Piece Inspections and in-process audits. Collect samples for analytical testing (raw material, validation, in-process, finished product). Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment. Support environmental monitoring and cleaning verification/validation. Participate in OOS investigations and corrective actions. Maintain lab inventory and ensure cleanliness and biohazard removal. Follow health and safety protocols. Additional Responsibilities Assist production, R&D, and engineering teams. Support product development studies and validations. Coordinate external lab sample testing. Perform other QC duties as assigned.

This role ensures product quality through inspections at various production stages and statistical data evaluation. The QC Lead also coordinates shift activities and assumes supervisory responsibilities when appropriate. Essential Functions Coordinate daily lab activities and train new and existing staff. Disseminate relevant information to lab peers via meetings and development sessions. Conduct quality control tests on raw materials and finished products. - Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Arrive on time every day
  • Present yourself in a polite and friendly manner to all clients when entering offices
  • Clean all assigned homes and office areas each day
  • Clean with quality, ensuring no more than one quality-related cancellation per calendar year
  • Follow Spotlesss cleaning system: always wear an apron, clean top-to-bottom and left-to-right

What does a Quality Control Technician Weekend DAY Shift do?

As a Full-Time Quality Control Technician at Roush Yates Manufacturing Solutions, you will be on the front lines of ensuring our products meet the highest industry standards. Your responsibilities will include conducting thorough inspections using manual, visual, and attribute methods, while expertly generating Non-Conformance reports to communicate findings to relevant parties. You'll maintain part integrity and safety during inspections, all while mentoring fellow Quality Technicians in best practices and dimensional verification. You'll operate and program critical equipment like CMM, Vision systems, and Formtracers, performing data reviews on collected DCC data and pulling relevant defect tracking and dimensional reports from our database.

Collaborating with our team will be essential to addressing quality issues and developing effective inspection procedures. Additionally, you'll ensure that all gauges used in the inspection process are properly verified, maintained, and calibrated, contributing to our commitment to excellence and safety in manufacturing.

Are you a good fit for this position?

To excel as a Full-Time Quality Control Technician at Roush Yates Manufacturing Solutions, candidates must possess a diverse skill set and extensive experience in quality control within the manufacturing realm. A minimum of 7 years in Quality Control and 5 years of CMM programming experience using PC-Dmis or Calypso is essential. Familiarity with common inspection methods, PPAPs, and FAIRs will greatly enhance your effectiveness in this role.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word. Experience with Microsoft Access preferred.
  • 7+ years experience in Quality Control
  • Familiarity with common inspection methods.

  • Certificate, Associates degree, or equivalent work experience in manufacturing or related technical field.
  • In depth understanding of GD&T.
