POSITION OBJECTIVE:


The Mobile Integration Center (MIC) QC Manager is responsible for the quality policies and procedures of the MIC Department ensuring a 99%+ quality score. This includes understanding the customer's requirements and validating that our policies and procedures adhere to the customer’s needs. The Quality Control Manager will ensure the MIC’s quality procedures/processes support efficient workflows. The Quality Control Manager will work closely with the MIC Staging Managers to ensure that all Stratix quality control procedures are being followed.


To be successful, the Quality Control Manage r should have excellent communication and listening skills, with strong observational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. A basic understanding of regulatory compliance and be skilled in understanding scientific and technical data. If additional quality check points are required, the Quality Control Manager will make recommendations to Team Leads and/or Supervisors and assist with updating, creating and documenting processes. The Quality Manager will capture data and produce metrics related to the pass/fail percentage of work performed by the Quality Control team at Stratix.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Management of the MIC Audit, MIC Tech Support and MIC First Article Review process.
  • Devising ways to improve the production process to ensure higher-quality goods.
  • Responsible for the First Article review and approval for new projects.
  • Provides leadership and guidance to MIC team members, ensuring accountability and alignment with department quality goals.
  • Preparing reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing quality data.
  • Send out issue summaries to managers/directors of other departments and work with them on solutions to help reduce the issues that we have during production.
  • Analyzes quality metrics, identifies root causes of issues, and implements corrective actions to eliminate inefficiencies and reduce errors.
  • Leads by example by maintaining a strong floor presence and a deep understanding of MIC processes, with the ability to step in operationally when necessary.
  • Work with other MIC managers to address operational challenges quickly and effectively.
  • Oversees coaching, and development for the MIC team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and engagement.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in operations, including at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or management role.

  • Experience working with mobile device hardware, peripheral support, and connectivity.

This person will be supporting a stockpile that houses emergency response equipment that can be deployed in emergency situations such as covid 19 or natural disasters. Product in this stockpile can include but not limited to vaccine equipment, medicine, masks, ventilators, etc. This person will be working in the stockpile conducting quality control audits on everything that comes into and or is already existing in the warehouse. This person is expected to understand standard operating procedures and be able to draft them up. They will also be expected to know FDA regulations and guidelines and communicate with third party vendors.
Compensation:
$20/hr to $23/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Summary:

Language Skills:

  • English required, bilingual (Spanish) a plus.

Physical Demands:

  • Document and track the status of non-conformance and corrective action reports.

  • Supervises quality personnel work.
  • Advises project management personnel on quality engineering related matters and keeps them informed of the quality assurance implementation status within WSI.
  • Assists project personnel with development and maintenance of efficient and accurate project planning documentation.
  • Maintains a working awareness of events occurring within the industry and provides input to management when events have potential impact on hardware and technologies.
  • Conforms in all respects with applicable federal, state and local laws, regulations, ordinances, company policies, procedures and directives; and takes appropriate steps to assure compliance by personnel under supervision.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
  • Experience:  At least 5+ years of experience in the Quality Control field, which includes two (2) years of supervision of personnel.
  • NACE CIP Level 3, SSPC PCI Level 3 Certification, and/or AMPP Senior Certified Coatings Inspector required. An experienced individuals with a Level 2 Certification who aspires to obtain level 3 certification may be considered for the role.
  • Highly experienced in surface preparation, cleanliness, environmental conditions, test instruments, coating mixtures and safety concerns.
  • Capable of undertaking non-destructive and destructive inspections of thermal spray coatings to any substrate without supervision
  • Possess technical knowledge of coatings, problem solving abilities for issues that arise on site and capable of supervising coating inspectors.
  • Education: BS Degree or equivalent technical training/experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Office & Field environment.  Ability to travel up to 75% of the time. When traveling, will be in plant/industrial environments.

  • Experience:  At least 5+ years of experience in the Quality Control field, which includes two (2) years of supervision of personnel.
  • NACE CIP Level 3, SSPC PCI Level 3 Certification, and/or AMPP Senior Certified Coatings Inspector required.
  • Highly experienced in surface preparation, cleanliness, environmental conditions, test instruments, coating mixtures and safety concerns.
  • Capable of undertaking non-destructive and destructive inspections of thermal spray coatings to any substrate without supervision
  • Possess technical knowledge of coatings, problem solving abilities for issues that arise on site and capable of supervising coating inspectors.
  • Education: BS Degree or equivalent technical training/experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Office & Field environment.  Ability to travel up to 75% of the time. When traveling, will be in plant/industrial environments.
