Job Description The position's primary function is to verify all outgoing sales orders are correct before shipping. This includes checking shipping materials for quality/quantity by visual and physical inspection of products, shipping documents, specification sheets and certificates of calibration, as well as inspection of all labels attached to units. Responsibilities Final physical inspection to include comparing work orders, labels, serial numbers, specification sheets and related documents. Record inspections and tabulate results. Electronically receive products into database and record serial numbers. Inspection of assemblies, sub-assemblies and fabricated parts to drawings and quality standards. Gather, enter and tabulate data, reports or spreadsheets as needed by Quality Assurance. Assist with creation, maintenance and distribution of documents related to Quality Assurance, Manufacturing or Engineering. Other duties as required/assigned as processes improve, product lines are added, product volumes increase/decrease or business needs dictate. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (GED) Experience with computer data entry Ability to maneuver boxes weighing up to 70 pounds Preferred Qualifications Prefer manufacturing background. Job Description
The primary functions include performing visual and dimensional inspection on manufactured products to ensure compliance with customer requirements and print specifications. Scope of duties include routine or repetitive application of standard policies and processes. Inspection and testing for product or production equipment.
Supports and creates effective teams, units and environments through a personal commitment to the company's vision and values.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the Major Responsibilities, including the following:
- Requires the ability to learn and meet established department specific work instructions and procedures.
- Inspects various parts; completed and/or in process products, recording and maintaining quality records, to ensure compliance with all quality requirements.
- Work demands a high degree of accuracy and close tolerance inspection.
- May be required to understand and demonstrate proficiency in geometric tolerances and must have basic Math skills.
- Willingly accepts responsibility of sharing skills and knowledge; trains other employees as needed.
- Responsibilities include understanding and knowledge of production/manufacturing inspection processes and procedures.
- Understands and meets quality standards. Seeks to minimize reject rate.
- Participates in continuous improvement efforts. Supports and helps to implement new ideas.
- Possesses the ability to use the computer system for basic departmental functions.
- Ability to understand print specifications including, product specifications, equipment dimensions, etc.
- Proficient with precision inspection instruments (e.g. micrometers, calipers, laser mic, optical comparator, toolmakers scope, Smart Scope, CMM, etc.)
- Effectively handles multiple tasks.
- Works overtime as necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Prefer an Associate Degree in a technical discipline; High School diploma, or GED equivalent required. Prefer one year of work related experience. Full Training will be supplied as necessary.

- Good communication skills.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret, operating instructions, work instructions, customer supplied procedures, and routers.
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
- Effectively gives and receives feedback; willingly asks questions and seeks direction as needed.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
