Our client, a leading manufacturing and industrial solutions provider, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Industrial Process Engineer for their facility in Des Moines, Iowa, US . This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of process optimization, efficiency improvements, and lean manufacturing principles. You will be responsible for analyzing existing industrial processes, identifying areas for enhancement, and implementing innovative solutions to improve productivity, reduce costs, and ensure product quality. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering principles and a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in implementing process changes.

Responsibilities:
  • Analyze current industrial processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
  • Design, develop, and implement new or modified manufacturing processes to optimize output, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Utilize statistical analysis and modeling techniques to evaluate process performance and predict outcomes.
  • Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all new and revised processes.
  • Lead and mentor junior engineers and technical staff in process improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with production, quality assurance, and maintenance teams to ensure seamless integration of process changes.
  • Manage process improvement projects from conception through implementation and validation.
  • Research and recommend new technologies and methodologies to enhance industrial operations.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for operators and technicians on new process procedures.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in industrial engineering, process engineering, or manufacturing operations.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proficiency in process simulation software and CAD tools.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management and leading cross-functional teams.
  • Strong understanding of statistical process control (SPC) and quality management systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly.
  • Experience in a relevant industry sector is highly desirable.
