Job Purpose

  • Leadership of process engineering through business plan development/implementation
  • Oversee all aspects of process engineering and developing schedules to ensure adherence to deadlines and business goal achievement
  • Department process engineer expert for MP and New Model process efficiency and positive impact to business characteristics.

Key Accountabilities

  • Oversight of process engineering schedules and goal setting
  • Data analysis for identification of improvement activities.
  • Lead and Support department wide problem analysis and prevention activities for mass production process.
  • AF core systems expert (PDDA - process data development and analysis, EOS - electronic operations standards, &c)
  • Train engineer and associates to manage changes.
  • Deeply study process inefficiencies and promote characteristic improvements; apply and optimize change.
  • Development of FSI and BP themes.
  • Mentorship and development of succession planning. 
  • Reporting of BP status to upper management

  • This is a 100% onsite position, i.e. 5 days per workweek at job location.

Job Purpose

Analyze drawings from feasibility through design phase to achieve a product that can be manufactured within the factory’s capabilities. Lead Manufacturing Mangement Center (MMC) to prepare and execute new model development and Trial Stage. Improve technical tasks and project targets from a technical viewpoint for product design. Lead entry level engineers through mentorship.

Key Accountabilities

  • Conduct studies and detailed confirmations of new technologies, design concepts and manufacturing processes.
  • Technical Lead for designated category of parts. Lead correlation of design verifications and represent department in global verification check alignment with Japan. Assure horizontal communication of past problem history across designated category of parts.
  • Lead meetings and technical reviews to develop the most efficient manufacturing process (easy to manufacture, reduced Manpower, error proofing, built in quality, reduced ergo red, efficient part delivery).
  • Ensure a robust process design for mass production combining manufacturing requirements, factory characteristics and project targets.
  • Through the New Model development, help create and maintain all documents necessary for process, quality, robot/equipment, and training.
  • Support physical verification of the vehicle during initial production at the factory. Understand the factory capability and constraints.
  • Lead and support collaborative problem-solving activity with team members from your group and other business unit's including Design, Engineering and Buhin (purchasing).
  • Develop capability of self, colleagues, and team through training, mentoring, and sharing of experiences in area of technical expertise. Assure technical know-how is developed for designated part category.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

By leveraging 3D Computer Aided Design (CAD) software and simulation tools, they will need to identify key change points and summarize into a specification that fixes design requirements. Job Purpose: 

Design manual manufacturing processes for new products in Assembly department. Processes must match planned factory characteristics for startup timing and meet project and business plan targets.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Confirm manufacturing process impact through Design Development timing. Complete process and manpower studies correlating to design development data and drawing releases, as well as Design Engineering (DE) correlation.

  • Support New Model Events. Forecast design impact to department. Incorporate change points into process design. Identify concerns and countermeasure before mass production.
  • Develop Plans and Schedules for projects. Set timelines and detailed activities. Hold meetings with cross functional engineering groups to ensure completeness.
  • Project support for all items impacting department’s Associate Process.
  • Collect feedback from MMC organization and production floor to address concerns. Utilize feedback with future design development.
  • Create charts and presentations to report status and plans for key department metrics.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Engineering Technology) or equivalent related experience
  • 2+ years of industry related experience
  • MS Office, standard time evaluations, workstation design, Catia, 5S, Lean Manufacturing, Honda Issue Management systems (IMS, Change Request Form), customer service.

This position is accountable for directing the maintenance operations at the facility to achieve maximum production potential at the lowest cost while preserving asset value. They are responsible for managing the site's Reliability Excellence Program, maintenance service and repairs for the entire facility including support equipment and all manufacturing, filling, processing, and transfer equipment as well as managing maintenance employees and fostering a team environment through effective and appropriate communication.

  • Direct maintenance operations to ensure prompt and accurate response to equipment and facility maintenance needs
  • Manage employee training, development, performance management, and corrective action 
  • Maintain documentation as required 
  • Promote safety through active participation and support of company safety policies and programs

  • Review and analyze production, quality, maintenance, and operations eAM (Enterprise Asset Management) data reports to determine causes of production problems 
  • Manage employee training, development, performance management, and corrective action
  • Conduct regular communication meetings with workforce to enhance BMS (Business Management System) and Operational Excellence 
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement Projects 
  • Develop and implement capital projects and maintain annual maintenance operating budget
Minimum Requirements:
  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
  • Must have a bachelor's degree or higher or have at least four (4) years of Maintenance work experience
  • Must have at least one (1) year of maintenance experience applying electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic concepts
Preferred Qualifications: 
  • Have at least one (1) year of experience in leadership role(s), supervising others, or leading teams
  • Have an associate's degree or higher in Maintenance, Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or Computer Science
  • Have a bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering
  • Have an industrial, electrical, and/or welding certification or license
  • Have completed formal training in and/or have at least one (1) year of work experience applying continuous improvement tools such as Six Sigma, 5-S, Lean Manufacturing, Transactional Lean, etc.
  • Have prior experience managing engineering/maintenance projects in an industrial environment
  • Have at least three (3) years of working as a mechanic in a manufacturing and/or distribution environment  
  • Have prior work experience using timekeeping and/or maintenance management systems
