Job Purpose
Design processes for safe and efficient automotive frame assembly. Use analytic tools and traditional industrial engineering methods to optimize Assembly Line production functions
Key Accountabilities
- Assist in developing a balanced process across manufacturing areas using Maynard Operation Sequence Technique (M.O.S.T.). Apply lean manufacturing techniques to support process efficiency and meet Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Morale (SQCDM) targets. Design and implement processes that are simple and effective.
- Audit and maintain data to ensure accurate information across all operations standards. Perform basic time estimates for production processes and equipment loads. Support the develop and refinement of operation standards.
- Support Stamping / Plastics Department Lead for Process Data Development and Analysis (PDDA), Managed Detection and Response System (MDRS), Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) systems. Participate in meetings with Honda functional groups to discuss improvement themes in Quality, Safety, Delivery, Production, Purchasing, Packaging, or Logistics.
- Identify opportunities to reduce waste within the process and improve efficiency. Apply 5S work methods, workstation design, and set best practices for production.
- Evaluate and implement ergonomic countermeasures to prevent associate injury.
- Assist in developing plans and schedules for projects. Support New Model Events by incorporating change points into process design, and identifying concerns and countermeasure before mass production.
- Maintain accurate AutoCAD department layout. Read Parts drawings, Spec Notices, 3D CATIA data.
- Create charts and presentations to report status and plans for key department metrics.
- Collect feedback from the production floor and address their concerns. Provide project support for all items impacting Assembly Department associate process
Qualifications/Experience/Skills
Minimum Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Engineering Technology, Manufacturing) or previous work experience of 6 years that is equivalent.
Minimum Experience: 0-6 years of experience based on education
Other Job-Specific Skills: Excel VBA, Standard Time Evaluation, Workstation Design, 5S, Lean Manufacturing, Customer Service.
Working Conditions
- Generally first shift production hours, occasional split/second shift support required. 0-5 hours overtime weekly.

Job Purpose
Analyze drawings from feasibility through design phase to achieve a product that can be manufactured within the factory’s capabilities. Lead Manufacturing Mangement Center (MMC) to prepare and execute new model development and Trial Stage. Improve technical tasks and project targets from a technical viewpoint for product design. Lead entry level engineers through mentorship.

- Conduct studies and detailed confirmations of new technologies, design concepts and manufacturing processes.
- Technical Lead for designated category of parts. Lead correlation of design verifications and represent department in global verification check alignment with Japan. Assure horizontal communication of past problem history across designated category of parts.
- Lead meetings and technical reviews to develop the most efficient manufacturing process (easy to manufacture, reduced Manpower, error proofing, built in quality, reduced ergo red, efficient part delivery).
- Ensure a robust process design for mass production combining manufacturing requirements, factory characteristics and project targets.
- Through the New Model development, help create and maintain all documents necessary for process, quality, robot/equipment, and training.
- Support physical verification of the vehicle during initial production at the factory. Understand the factory capability and constraints.
- Lead and support collaborative problem-solving activity with team members from your group and other business unit's including Design, Engineering and Buhin (purchasing).

Job Purpose:
Design safe and efficient processes for Main Assembly and Sub-Assemblies for the AF Department. Use analytic tools and traditional industrial engineering methods to optimize production functions.
Accountabilities:
- Use M.O.S.T. to develop balanced processes across AF manufacturing areas. Work to achieve Maximum Process Efficiency. Apply Lean Manufacturing techniques. Design processes that are simple and achieve SQCDM targets.
- Perform time estimates for process/line work, equipment loads, and develop operation standards for the AF Department during development
- Identify opportunities to reduce waste within the process and improve efficiency. Apply 5S work methods, workstation design, and set best practices for production.
- Evaluate and implement ergonomic countermeasures to prevent associate injury.
- Maintain accurate AutoCAD department layout.
- Collect feedback from the production floor in AF and address their concerns.
- Read Parts drawings, Spec Notices, 3D CATIA data.
Qualifications
Education Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering field or equivalent related experience.
Experience
- 0-6 years experience relevant to role

- 10% Travel

Job Purpose
Design processes for safe and efficient automotive frame assembly. Use analytic tools and traditional industrial engineering methods to optimize Assembly Line production functions
Key Accountabilities
- Assist in developing a balanced process across manufacturing areas using Maynard Operation Sequence Technique (M.O.S.T.). Apply lean manufacturing techniques to support process efficiency and meet Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Morale (SQCDM) targets. Design and implement processes that are simple and effective.
- Audit and maintain data to ensure accurate information across all operations standards. Perform basic time estimates for production processes and equipment loads. Support the develop and refinement of operation standards.
- Support Stamping / Plastics Department Lead for Process Data Development and Analysis (PDDA), Managed Detection and Response System (MDRS), Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) systems. Participate in meetings with Honda functional groups to discuss improvement themes in Quality, Safety, Delivery, Production, Purchasing, Packaging, or Logistics.
- Identify opportunities to reduce waste within the process and improve efficiency. Apply 5S work methods, workstation design, and set best practices for production.
- Evaluate and implement ergonomic countermeasures to prevent associate injury.
- Assist in developing plans and schedules for projects. Support New Model Events by incorporating change points into process design, and identifying concerns and countermeasure before mass production.
- Maintain accurate AutoCAD department layout. Read Parts drawings, Spec Notices, 3D CATIA data.
- Create charts and presentations to report status and plans for key department metrics.
- Collect feedback from the production floor and address their concerns. Provide project support for all items impacting Assembly Department associate process
Qualifications/Experience/Skills
Minimum Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Engineering Technology, Manufacturing) or previous work experience of 6 years that is equivalent.
Minimum Experience: 0-6 years of experience based on education
Other Job-Specific Skills: Excel VBA, Standard Time Evaluation, Workstation Design, 5S, Lean Manufacturing, Customer Service.
Working Conditions
- Generally first shift production hours, occasional split/second shift support required. 0-5 hours overtime weekly.
