Night Shift: Monday through Thursday, 7:30pm - 6:00am
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs and documents dimensional inspections on inventory parts using engineering prints, Inspection procedures or work instructions.
- Selects products at specified stages in the production process, if applicable, and inspects products for variety of qualities, such as dimensions and functionality.
- Records data, applying statistical quality control procedures.
- May perform, as needed, nondestructive tests on materials, parts, or products to measure performance, life, or material characteristics
- May specialize in particular area of quality control such as incoming material, process control, product evaluation, and final inspection.
- Detects nonconformances during production operations effectively.
- May prepare graphs or charts of data or enter data into computer for analysis.
- May perform quality control equipment calibrations and records the data as required.
- Usually requires and works under direct supervision.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 1 year of QC or related industry experience preferred
Ability to interpret and understand engineering prints and the ability to use measuring tools and devices. Must have mechanical aptitude and be detail oriented

Missions:Ensures that all injection molds and tooling auxiliaries are kept in a functional and safe condition by dealing with predictive, preventive and curative maintenance, following HSE, quality and production standard.Activities:Works according to HSE requirements.Plans and carries out preventive maintenance of machinery, systems and utility services.Optimizes injection molds, inclusive of documenting the same. Follow safety rules of Plastic Omnium and work in a manner that is conducive to maintaining a safe and healthful workplace.
Work directly with the Maintenance Superintendent to ensure all continuous improvements are implemented correctly on the Injection molding & Auxiliary equipment.
Electrical: Know how to troubleshoot and read electrical prints, Siemens, Allen Bradley PLC trouble shooting and diagnosis. Hydraulics: know how to troubleshoot and debug hydraulic circuits, read machine schematics and repair. Pneumatics: Know how to troubleshoot and debug pneumatic circuits, read machine schematics and repair.
6 axis robot fundamentals, and Cartesian robot troubleshooting and debug.
Know injection-molding machine general maintenance, troubleshooting, debug and repair as needed.
Execute lock out/tag out procedures as required on all Injection and auxiliary equipment.
Work with equipment suppliers to determine root cause of equipment failures and implement a permanent solution.
Fork truck license, Man lift certificate, and crane operation required, will train to our specifics.
COMPETENCIES
Previous automotive Injection molding and robotic experiences a plus.
Mechanical and electrical experience REQUIRED with industrial control an asset
Computer technology and programming an asset. High School Diploma/GED Must be computer literate on the Windows platform.
