The Quality Control Inspector - FM is responsible for the accurate and efficient review of aircraft flight and maintenance data from the MRO System, Fleet Management (FM) Planners, vendors, and other Aircraft Fixed Based Operations (FBO) to ensure airworthy aircraft. This position provides input to Fleet Management to ensure compliance with Customer, FAA, and Repair Station standards. It also provides oversight to the Logs & Records personnel who audit aircraft flight logs. The Quality Control Inspector - FM is a direct report to the Quality Control Manager and is under the general supervision of the FM Quality Control Lead.
The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the below-listed duties. Additional essential functions may be identified by the organization and listed as such in the incumbent's performance appraisal elements. Various tasks may be assigned under each essential function. Those that are listed under the examples of work are not all-inclusive; they are examples only and may be amended or added to as needed by the organization:
+ Upon completion of service by maintenance providers, the FM QC Inspector reviews verify and accept applicable aircraft documentation for aircraft release from maintenance, preventative maintenance, or alterations of articles or specialized services in which FAR Parts 43, 91, and 145 apply, and with manufacturer's data, drawings, specifications, and bulletins, or other technical data.
+ Reviews maintenance source documents, and aircraft inspection records, and reports recurring discrepancies or trends to appropriate management and section for action.
+ May assist FM Group with obtaining technical guidance concerning aircraft records
+ Updates aircraft maintenance work scopes on MRO tracker
+ May assist Log and Records personnel with reviews of aircraft flight log data input on the MRO tracker system
+ Coordinates with FM Supervisor and Lead on quality issues as
+ Ensures that FM Supervisor and Lead are made aware of any aircraft logbook issue(s) that may impact the airworthiness of the aircraft.

Job Summary/Description

Operate and maintain systems associated with a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) facility while demonstrating safety awareness and direction that will continuously improve performance by employees and contractors through the use and strict adherence to procedures and processes.

Job Duties/Responsibilities
  • Maintain regulatory compliance and be proactive in dealing with all agencies and avoid reportable violations

Perform mechanical work involved in inspection, repair and installation of instrumentation and electrical equipment, and light PM of mechanical systems.
Minimum Requirements

Minimum education:

  • 2 Year Associate's Degree in Industrial Electronics, Instrumentation/Controls or Production/Process Technology or equivalent work experience

Minimum experience:

  • PTECH III: 0-2 years' experience in a CCGT facility in an Operations or Maintenance position; or 4 years of power plant operations/maintenance/electrical experience
  • PTECH II CRO, SR: 2-5 years' experience in a CCGT facility in an Operations or Maintenance position; or 5 years of power plant operations/maintenance/electrical experience

Minimum skills:

  • Must be good at communicating, both verbal and written, the results of evaluation of assignments to supervision
  • Ability to interpret and comprehend P&ID's, electrical schematics, network diagrams and OEM manuals

Minimum Certifications/Licensing/Testing:

  • Successful completion of the EEI POSS/MASS Test
