**Responsibilities**
+ Measures product quality through the use of statistical methods, control charting, and process improvement techniques
+ Updates and maintains Quality Department computer databases and quality system files
+ Conducts various quality tests to ensure customer specifications are met
+ Accurately completes all required quality inspections, and quality systems documentations
+ Maintains work area in organized, safe and clean manner
+ Follow all Standard Operating Procedures, Safety Standards and Safe Work Practices
+ Assist and train production floor associates on quality topics to ensure customer specifications are met
+ Complete required calibration of quality test equipment and ensure proper use.
+ Tracks and coordinates non-conforming material
+ Maintains inventory of department quality supplies
+ Communicate pertinent information at shift change
**Qualifications**
+ Must be able to effectively communicate (verbal/written) with various levels within the facility
+ Basic computer systems knowledge (Windows, Word, Excel), SAP, PowerPoint a plus
+ Experience with AIB or BRC quality systems a plus
+ Experience in a GFCI certification environment a plus
+ Other job duties as assigned by Team Leader

**What you'll do**
+ Conduct quality inspections during the installation process to ensure work meets plans and specifications
+ Perform final inspections as requested by customers to ensure compliance with construction standards
+ Identify issues and report them to relevant team members for resolution

This Position reports to:

Production Engineering Manager

In this role, you will have the opportunity to support production process definition to ensure optimization of cost, quality, and on-time delivery of product. *Focusing on keeping automation line working with minimum downtime and design and implement improvements to prevent issues (develop spare parts plan, routine controls and checks on automation stations and robots, operators training on autonomous maintenance, etc.)
*Working hand on hand with others team member for the detection, design and implementation of Kaizen improvement ideas for the Factory.
*Driving improvements focusing on workstations design & build up, cycle time calculation, timing, ergonomics, fixturing, tooling, layout design, material/product flow and automation, that will lead to efficiency, productivity, HSE and Quality goals.
*Hands on design and execution of improvements, build up and set up on the factory.
*Defining action plans and training maintenance and production resources to ensure smooth implementation of new processes.
*Preparing technical documentation and ensuring optimal efficiency in methods, performance and materials/components.

Qualifications for the role:

Minimum of Associate Degree in program related field.
2 years or more of experience working on design and implementation of electromechanical projects (design & execution of fixturing, wiring, flow systems, etc.)
Mechanical or Electromechanical technician.
Knowledge on Robotics, control systems and automation is a plus.
Ability to understand mechanical and electrical drawings. Be able to develop them.
Knowledge on 3D cad software and 3D printing is desirable (Autocad, Solidworks).
Knowledge in Lean Manufacturing tools is a plus.
Strong interpersonal skills to communicate and work with diverse discipline project teams.
Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.

  • You are immersed in / engaged in / absorbed in / highly skilled in/ you enjoy working with people, processes and continuous improvement tools.
