Electrician / Manufacturing
Mueller Water Products is a leading manufacturer and marketer of products and services used in the transmission, distribution and measurement of water in North America. Our broad product and services portfolio includes engineered valves, fire hydrants, metering products and systems, leak detection and pipe condition assessment.
This position will perform all operations pertaining to the installation, repair and maintenance of a wide variety of electrical equipment and circuitry. The electrician will install, repair and maintain electric motors, programmable drives, high voltage circuits, electrical control panels, programmable logic controllers, etc. Work involves a thorough knowledge of the electrical trade and an understanding of the plant operating principles is required to ensure that equipment functions properly and safely.
Positions available include a 2nd and 3rd shift only.
Required Skills:
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints and manuals.
- Install and maintains electrical equipment, power distribution, lighting, signals and alarms.
- Trouble shoot and maintain relay logic circuits, starters, motors, electrical metering devices and electrical measuring devises.
- Fabricates and install metallic and non metallic conduit, buss duct and wire raceway.
- Design and build various control panels.
- Draw schematics.
- Lubricates electrical motors.
- Use multimeters, meggers, amp probes, oscilloscope, signal generators and other electrical/electronic test equipment in the performance of their duties.
- Update and maintain knowledge of National Electrical Code.
- Troubleshoot and repair various electronic controls and circuits.
- Repair circuit boards and electronic components as needed.
- Trouble shoot and repair programmable controllers, NC, CNC, radio controlled devised and DNC machine tools and equipment.
- Contain and clean up hazardous materials.
- Adapt new methods and procedures as required.
- Assist other skilled classifications as needed.
- Perform predictive maintenance checks.
- Operate production and non-production equipment and machine tools as required in the performance of their duties.
- Perform preventive maintenance inspections, repairs and adjustments.
- Prepare written predictive maintenance and preventive maintenance reports in performance of duties.
- Instruct trainees when necessary.
- Requisition replacement parts and materials.
- Participate in additional training as related to their work.
- Stock parts and materials needed in performance of their duties.
- Operate material handling equipment and man lifts as instructed in the Plant Safety Rules and according to OSHA standards.
- Maintain equipment and working area in a clean and orderly manner.
- Perform Electrician "A" work as needed.
- Perform all duties in the highest standard of productivity and quality.
- Required four years verifiable experience in a manufacturing environment.

The Quality Control Manager directs the general operations of the ADM Vitamin E Plant Laboratory. + Manage Laboratory Technician issues including staffing, employee rules, disciplinary, training records, etc. Provide reviews and feedback to Technicians as needed.

+ Perform month-end inventory assessments, OOS or deviation tracking and job hazard assessments and provide laboratory performance metrics to plant management as needed.
+ Take lead in all OOS investigation including determining and reporting root causes.
+ Work with maintenance and engineering, as necessary, on projects required to maintain lab operations.
+ Work with engineering and production, as necessary, to aid in the event of plant issues.
+ Contribute to customer and certification audits, as well as regulatory inspections.
+ Assist in customer complaint, recall or withdraw issues as necessary.
+ Monitor lab spending and identify and initiate cost savings initiatives in the laboratory.
+ Champion corporate level initiatives at the laboratory level.
+ Schedule the annual lab internal audit. Follow up and ensure all action items are completed from the internal audit.
+ Report food safety, quality, environmental or occupational safety issues to the Quality Assurance or other appropriate plant management and aid in the remediation of such issues.
+ Adhere to the directives and guidance prescribe by The ADM Way.
+ Support Hazardous Waste operations including generation, collection, movement, inspection, recordkeeping and minimization of hazardous waste, as needed.
+ Participate as an auditor for internal plant quality audits.
+ Manage specifications and required testing for product release and in-process testing, both in TLC and in Policy Tech.
+ Manage critical laboratory policies and operating procedures in Policy Tech.
+ Participate as a member of the Food Safety Team.
**Authorities**
+ The Quality Control Manager is solely responsible for approving data for product release.
+ The Laboratory Superintendent will be listed on Certificates of Analysis generated by the Vitamin E/Phytosterols Laboratory as a certifier of the information provided.

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.
