We are seeking a highly motivated, talented individual, who has the desire to lead and coach a manufacturing team.   In this role you will be responsible for product specific build schedule attainment to ensure overall customer success.  Additionally, you will be leading employee engagement and continuous improvement efforts. You will also have the opportunity to manage projects that are critical to our success.
**What You Will Do:**
+ Ensures all quality related items for one cell are complete and documented to meet established quality standards.
+ Assists in cost reduction and process improvement to ensure efficiency of operations and cost effectiveness.
+ Assists in scheduling for one cell so that production schedules are met.
+ Assists in sequencing of work, such as build and delivery, for a cell to optimize productivity.
+ Coordinates activities for materials and logistics problem resolution of a cell to ensure availability of materials and smooth operations.
+ Monitors cell performance and productivity of a cell to maximize productivity.
+ Assists in production innovation, including additive manufacturing, of a cell to enhance the cell's production capabilities.
+ Interfaces with customers to understand customer needs and issues and ensure that the customers receive satisfactory standards of services.
+ Manages and supervises the work of manufacturing production disciplines in the Operations function.
+ Delegate effectively to develop personnel and effectively balance the workload
+ Address employee issues/concerns and motivate the workforce to achieve department goals.
**Qualifications You Must Have:**
+ Typically requires a University Degree and a minimum of 2 years prior relevant experience with specialized knowledge of technical or operational practices
+ Proven track record in team leadership roles
+ Experience with Continuous Improvement principles (CORE (continuous improvement), lean manufacturing, QCPC, etc.)
+ Experience in SAP or similar MRP software

The salary range for this role is 66,000 USD - 130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.

The Progressive Processing, LLC, facility in Dubuque, Iowa, will be hiring hourly production associates for 1st shift. Progressive Processing, LLC is a wholly owned subsidiary of Hormel Foods.
The plant was the first new production facility built by Hormel Foods in more than 25 years. Operations began in January of 2010. The 342,000 sq. ft. plant is home to a variety of Hormel products including bacon toppings, SPAM®, and a variety of Hormel® Compleats® microwave meals. The facility employs approximately 325 employees.
Production associates will be responsible for operation of equipment while adhering to food safety and employee safety guidelines.

**Your Responsibilities**
As a **Part-Time Student - Assembly Manufacturing** for **John Deere Dubuque Works** located in **Dubuque, Iowa,** you will :
+ Assist in Continuous Improvement projects and work alongside engineering groups
+ Identify and implement cost reduction, quality, safety and ergonomic improvement ideas of limited scope
+ Work with electronic engineering tools to perform engineering functions
+ Provide support and basic trouble shooting for current operations.

**What Skills You Need**
+ Ideally you will be pursuing a degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology; others may apply.
+ Must be registered as a full-time student at a U.S. local accredited college/university
+ Graduation date of Spring of 2027 or later.
+ Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above.
+ Available to work during the academic year 16-20 hours/weekly.
+ Available to work during the summer semester 30-40 hours/weekly.
+ Must be able to commute to the work location in Dubuque, Iowa, on a daily basis year-round.
