We are hiring a Sr. Manufacturing Manager within our large Asian foods plant in Beaumont, CA! If you've got a passion for people leadership and safety, a head for strategy, and a hunger for high-quality production, this is your chance to take a slice of the action!
Responsibilities:
+ Directs and assists managers and supervisors engaged in the daily operation of the production and maintenance departments
+ Develops the budget and controls for department spending at budgeted levels
+ Maintains actual cost of goods at or below standard. Investigates ways to reduce scrap waste out-of-specification and contaminated ingredients. Explores ways to reduce the manpower and effort needed to produce products without sacrificing quality. Researches and proposes equipment and employee utilization for cost effectiveness. Presents proposals to the Director of Manufacturing
+ Monitors performance of the manufacturing facility by using reports from Plant Management, Human Resources and Food Safety Quality
+ Prepares and/or compiles operating reports for the Director of Manufacturing. Follows up on opportunities for improvement with appropriate management in all operating areas, and adjusts daily work schedule as needed to meet production requirements
+ Manages, trains, and develops subordinates to include skills development, safety, policy administration, employee relations, cost control, and problem solving.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent
+ 8+ years of related experience, including 5+ years leading large production teams, ideally in a food setting
+ Must possess management/direct leadership experience
+ Prior experience in food manufacturing with exposure to USDA/FDA regulations strongly preferred
+ Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
+ Ability to calculate and present financial figures and equipment performance to employees and upper management
Compensation and Benefits:
The base salary range for this position is $104,625 to $174,375 annually with eligibility for a 20% annual incentive bonus, that is based on organizational performance. The pay range represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to educations, skills, work experience, certifications, geography etc. As such, starting pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range. Duties and Responsibilities
- Operates to all SOPs trained by the Production Tech II
- Adheres to quality control procedures.
- Handles THC-based inputs
- Accurately fill and pack orders, including products such as flower and vape items, ensuring proper handling and adherence to quality standards and company SOPs
- Verify order details for accuracy and completeness before packing.
- Inspect products during production to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Report any discrepancies or defects to supervisor or management immediately
- Maintain organization and cleanliness in the packing area to support efficient operations.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures for inventory management and product handling.
- Follow all safety protocols and wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required
- Ensures compliance with company policies and pertinent DCC Regulations
- Follows and applies all policies, procedures and guidelines when operating equipment, machinery, or instrumentation; reports unsafe equipment, conditions and practices to ensure a safe workplace.
- Works closely with team members to achieve daily production targets.
- Track and record production data accurately to support inventory management.
- Assist with inventory counts and restocking supplies as directed.
- Communicate effectively with leads and supervisors and report any operational issues promptly.
- Contributes toward a desirable workplace culture.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
- Strong work ethic and responsible
- High School Diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in manufacturing or production is a plus
- Management of employee experience
- Basic math skills and ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.

- Capable of working in a fast-paced work environment where you are subject to many interruptions.

- Operations: This position will work in an indoor manufacturing facility with controlled temperatures; may be exposed to bright lighting, loud equipment, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and working in proximity with staff and vendors.
- Work revolves around objectives, projects, and priorities, not hours; must be able to work weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime as needed.
- Required to wear provided PPE while working in the lab.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Must comply with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.
