Job Summary 

We are seeking several highly skilled and detail-oriented Manufacturing  Engineers, who like a fast-paced growing environment, to support the development and optimization of manufacturing equipment, tooling, and processes.  Essential Duties and Responsibilities  

  • Suggest and implement new ways to automate and improve Production 

  • Support Production in reducing / eliminating equipment and tooling downtime or scrap, utilizing good analytical methodologies 

  • Manage capacity addition, process improvement and / or equipment replacement projects to include project SCOPE  

  • Design and implement improvements to enhance yield, reduce waste, increase throughputs, improve cycle times, reduce bottlenecks, and streamline operations while maintaining strict adherence to food safety and quality standards. 

  • Collaborates closely with project team to develop proposal of improvement initiatives including process, equipment and product improvements with relevant details such as scope of work, timelines. 

  • Ensure that manufacturing cost standards are achieved through process optimization and improvement methods 

  • Support and maintain error-proofing methodologies, RCA, FMEA 

  • Support facility and production line enhancements 

  • Support and develop department or maintenance projects / activities with good engineering direction.  

  • Facilitate continuous improvement for all processes 

  • Support and document all engineering changes 

  • Initiate actions to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformance relating to product, or processes and systems 

  • Support the optimization of maintenance programs and practices 

Food Safety Responsibilities 

  • Consider sanitary design, based on industry standards, e.g. 3A 

  • Participate in RCA / CAPA investigations as needed, in the event of food safety and/or quality issues 

  • Follow systemwide GMPs as required of all JP personnel 

  • Consider potential failure modes and define mitigations (FMEA) 

Minimum Qualifications   

  • Engineering degree required – Mechanical Engineering Degree preferred 

  • 1-2 years of experience in a food production environment 

  • Experience/education with a focus in one or more of the below 

    • fluid dynamics 
    • mixing systems 
    • heat exchange systems 
    • automation controls 
    • Robotics 
    • PLC, Solid Works, CAD Design 
  • Solid ability to understand, build and fix automation in food or medical manufacturing equipment. 

  • Must be an organized, self-motivated person who can work effectively independently and as part of a team.  

  • Technical abilities include knowledge of trouble shooting with in areas of mechanical, electrical, electronics, hydraulics, pneumatics and fabrication.  

  • Must be familiar with GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices) and QC standards required in a manufacturing environment.  

  • Must be able to manage multiple tasks and balance competing priorities in a dynamic environment. Adaptable, resilient, flexible, fast-paced/sense of urgency 

Expected Pay Range 

90,000-110,000

Role Summary:

Responsible for measuring, threading adjusting flange fit, and facing the flange on piece of pipe. Work also includes operation of the machine and a crane to move pipe in and out of machine.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identify fabrication requirements written on each piece of pipe (5%)
  • Place pipe in machine, center the pipe, and tighten for work. After the pipe is in place, the operator will machine tapered threads into the pipe. During this process, the machine operator is responsible for verifying measurements, such as thread depth and correct taper (30%)
  • After the threads are cut the operator tests the flange to make sure it screws onto the pipe properly. Adjustments are made to the threads if an issue occurs (10%)
  • Applies glue on pipe and flange and uses the machine to tighten the flange onto the pipe (20%)
  • Runs the cutting tool across the surface of the face of the flange to flush fit the flange onto the pipe (30%)
  • Remove pipe from machine and place on boards (5%)
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Good with math, able to read a tape measure and micrometer
  • Ability to understand machinery processes
  • Consistent attendance, ability to get to work on time, every day
  • Team player, willingness to work when needed, help out and volunteer for extras
  • Positive, enthusiastic and helpful

  • High school diploma or equivalent desired
  • Previous experience with machinery is desired
  • Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
  • Since this is a heavy industrial environment there will be exposure to Fabrication Shop operations. The employee will be exposed from time to time to the following working conditions: Extreme Heat and Cold, Noise, Vibration, Oils, and Atmospheric Conditions such as Dust, Fumes
  • Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs.
  • The employee will be required to perform the following actions (from time to time): Standing, Walking, Balancing, Stooping, Kneeling, Reaching, Talking, Seeing, Hearing, Driving and Sitting.
  • When in the Shop Production Area the employee will be required to wear PPE including (steel toed shoes if conducting any work related activity), safety glasses and hearing protection where required.

**Position Summary:**
This position is assisting daily production, working on continuous improvement on the shop floor, managing the SCAR (supplier NCR) and the NCR linked to his/her scope of activities, assuring compliance to and providing guidance regarding interpreting ISO 13485 & FDA standards in link with the Manufacturing Quality activities.
The Manufacturing QA Technician is working with the Manufacturing QEs and the Quality inspectors (QAR).
**Key Responsibilities:**
This position is primarily responsible for:
1. Assisting daily production and participating to achieve the APU objectives determined with the Production or APU managers, relative to Quality.
2. Support efforts in order to implement LEAP principles throughout the organization, such as participating to PSM or LEAP workshop
Represent QA and report KPI during daily cross functional PSM2 meeting
1. The NCR investigation especially linked to the shop floor or the supplier, in respect with due dates defined and using problem solving tools when applicable. Working as part of a cross-functional team.
Interface with the supplier in case of SCAR. Might interface with the customer in case of complaints based on experience.
1. Interface with the QAR (QA inspector) to ensure they are properly trained, and that the documentation is accurate.
Note: In case of any issue escalated by the QAR about the DHR final acceptance and/or final CoC, the Manufacturing QA technician has authority to release or hold the DHR, approve the final CoC and/or decide the final status of the parts and release or hold the batch.
He/She can also escalate to the QE or to the QA manager.
1. Perform visual inspection, including vision system, CMM and microscope.
2. Create/Maintain updated work instructions, inspection plans, inspection work instruction. including the respect of quality requirements and standards.
Secondary responsibilities are:
1. Support Manufacturing QEs in some of the common activities or investigation.
2. Train employees in the proper use of automated inspection equipment and documentation
3. Perform basic maintenance of inspection equipment
4. Support/troubleshoot programs in production
**Required Qualifications:**
+ High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
10 years of experience in quality assurance working with precision tooling
Or 2-year Technical College / Machine Trades / Quality related field
+ Advanced level blueprint reading skills

**Position Summary:**
This position is assisting daily production, working on continuous improvement on the shop floor, managing the SCAR (supplier NCR) and the NCR linked to his/her scope of activities, assuring compliance to and providing guidance regarding interpreting ISO 13485 & FDA standards in link with the Manufacturing Quality activities.
The Manufacturing QA Technician is working with the Manufacturing QEs and the Quality inspectors (QAR).
**Key Responsibilities:**
This position is primarily responsible for:
1. Assisting daily production and participating to achieve the APU objectives determined with the Production or APU managers, relative to Quality.
2. Support efforts in order to implement LEAP principles throughout the organization, such as participating to PSM or LEAP workshop
Represent QA and report KPI during daily cross functional PSM2 meeting
1. The NCR investigation especially linked to the shop floor or the supplier, in respect with due dates defined and using problem solving tools when applicable. Working as part of a cross-functional team.
Interface with the supplier in case of SCAR. Might interface with the customer in case of complaints based on experience.
1. Interface with the QAR (QA inspector) to ensure they are properly trained, and that the documentation is accurate.
Note: In case of any issue escalated by the QAR about the DHR final acceptance and/or final CoC, the Manufacturing QA technician has authority to release or hold the DHR, approve the final CoC and/or decide the final status of the parts and release or hold the batch.
He/She can also escalate to the QE or to the QA manager.
1. Perform visual inspection, including vision system, CMM and microscope.
2. Create/Maintain updated work instructions, inspection plans, inspection work instruction. including the respect of quality requirements and standards.
Secondary responsibilities are:
1. Support Manufacturing QEs in some of the common activities or investigation.
2. Train employees in the proper use of automated inspection equipment and documentation
3. Perform basic maintenance of inspection equipment
4. Support/troubleshoot programs in production
**Required Qualifications:**
+ High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
10 years of experience in quality assurance working with precision tooling
Or 2-year Technical College / Machine Trades / Quality related field
+ Advanced level blueprint reading skills
+ Advanced knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
+ Competent with Microsoft Office (Word/Excel), QC Calc, and ERP systems
+ Ability to perform visual inspections using microscopes
+ Good problem solving with attention to detail, and decision-making skills
+ Technical writing skills
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Experience in an ISO 13485:2016 certified system.
+ Understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, fixturing, and tooling.
+ Advanced knowledge of inspection equipment and maintenance.
+ Experience in Calypso
+ Experience in 2D and 3D CAD (Solidworks)
