**Responsibilities**
+ Responding to any emergency or potential emergency.
+ Security diligence, including maintaining control of personal key cards, preventing unauthorized entry to the facility by non-Amcor employees, and proper maintenance / security of Amcor information and equipment within your direct responsibility.
+ Constant vigilance and participation in Safety, Food Safety, Quality and Production practices.
+ Prevent nonconforming products from being shipped to customers.
+ Identify and record problems relating to products, processes and quality systems.
+ Observe all Safety precautions, Food Safety requirements and Plant rules to prevent injury to self or others and to prevent loss of material or damage to equipment.
+ Follow and wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
+ Maintain good housekeeping and 5S.
+ Transcribe product specification information onto shipping cartons.
+ Weigh, tape, lift, and stack filled shipping cartons onto pallets (if required).
+ Perform duties quickly to avoid production back up.
+ Perform visual inspection of production and alert Shift Coordinator or QA of noticeable defects.
+ Perform job duties associated with scrap parts produced.
+ Completes daily report of parts produced, scrapped or placed on hold.
+ Tend to machines such as Presses, Assembly, Auxiliary, Printing, and Lining equipment, which perform in production areas, according to machine standards.
+ Perform routine housekeeping and maintenance task as assigned by Shift Coordinator.
**Qualifications**
+ Capable of physical mobility including sitting, bending, twisting, standing, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
+ Maintain an attendance record within company guidelines and working required overtime.
+ High school diploma or GED equivalency preferred.
+ Read, write and speak English.
+ Past experience / proven ability within the specified disciplines.
+ Negative drug screen test results.

**Operational Leadership:**
· Supervise the daily function of the chemical repacking department, ensure timely completion of production plans to meet customer requirements and business targets.

· Collaborate with planning, warehouse, and quality teams to eliminate obstacles and address critical issues promptly.
**Safety & Compliance:**
· Ensure full compliance with EHS (Environmental, Health & Safety) policies and procedures.
· Perform daily checks, identify risks, and foster a culture that prioritizes colleague safety.
· Conduct incident investigations and corrective actions.
**Quality & Investigations:**
· Collaborate with Quality departments to handle quality investigations and root cause analysis for any non-conformances in the repack process.
· Ensure adherence to SOPs and regulatory requirements.
· Drive corrective and preventive actions to eliminate recurring issues.
**Employee Management:**
· Lead and support the Repack team, establish transparent expectations, objectives, and performance benchmarks.
· Cultivate a culture centered on accountability, teamwork, and constant advancement.
· Support talent development through cross-training, mentoring, and skill-building initiatives.
· Continuous Improvement & Change Leadership:
· Apply Lean methodologies (5S, Standard Work, Visual Management, Kaizen, etc.) to streamline repack operations and reduce waste.
· Lead problem-solving workshops and empower the team to implement improvements.
· Function as a change instigator, question the prevailing standards and encourage the implementation of standard methodologies.
**Qualifications & Experience:**
· 3 - 5 years of dynamic experience in manufacturing, operations, or supply chain.
· Strong communication and people leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and engage teams. Prior employee management experience strongly preferred.
· Proven experience in Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement (Green Belt certification preferred).
· Demonstrated ability to ensure safety, maintain quality standards, and lead production processes.
· Strong problem-solving skills, proficiency in pinpointing core issues, and effective decision-making capabilities.
· Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Our Team

Georgia-Pacific in Bowling Green has been proudly making Dixie® paper plates and bowls since 1993. Work-life balance is critically important for our Bowling Green team. That is why our team members are hourly non-exempt and work an attractive 12- hour schedule. They work 36 hours one week and get paid for 40 hours. The following week they work 48 hours and are paid for 8 hours of overtime! All team members have the opportunity to learn new skills and advance in their positions.

Night shift is 6:30pm-7:00am

Pay rate is $23.11 per hour + $2 per hour shift differential for the NIGHT SHIFT

What You Will Do

  • Operate equipment to defined standards and product specification targets
  • Monitor and/or entry into computer control systems
  • Troubleshoot equipment to optimize production
  • Perform basic asset care duties to include routine preventative maintenance and cleaning of work area
  • Work as a team to help meet or exceed production, waste, quality, and safety goals
  • Operate and/or work around mobile equipment
  • Maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, to include wearing safety equipment
  • Perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for up to twelve (12) hours a day, in a loud/noisy, and industrial, high-volume environment
  • Occasionally lifting boxes that weigh 60-80lbs to shoulder height
  • Work with changeovers and setting up equipment

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, agricultural, or military environment OR completion of post high school education in a manufacturing/industrial centered program
  • A minimum of (6) months of experience operating and maintaining machines
  • High school diploma or GED

Day in the life

When your shift begins at 6:50 p.m., you’ll start with safety checks and a quick review of production goals. From there, you’ll run the glass production line, moving between pre- and post-process equipment to keep quality high and output steady. Throughout the night, you’ll stage raw materials, drive both stand-up and sit-down forklifts, and perform routine quality verifications. If something isn’t right, you’ll troubleshoot, rally support as needed, and use continuous-improvement tools to correct course. You’ll help with changeovers, keep the area organized to 5S standards, perform basic equipment care, and model the AGC Way in every task. At 7:00 a.m., you’ll hand off clear notes so the next team can hit the ground running.

What you’ll do
  • Prioritize safety for yourself and teammates; immediately flag and report hazards to your supervisor or the safety team.
  • Operate pre- and post-process equipment according to established procedures to produce glass that meets exacting standards.
  • Stage and replenish raw materials to keep the line supplied.
  • Operate forklifts (stand-up and sit-down) safely and efficiently.
  • Conduct periodic quality checks per documented work instructions.
  • Troubleshoot process or product issues to restore stable operations.
  • Participate in—and at times lead—Kaizen events to drive continuous improvement.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly workspace aligned to 5S (organization, housekeeping, tool placement).
  • Perform minor equipment maintenance and assist with changeovers.
  • Exercise stop authority when safety or quality is at risk.
