We are currently seeking an EHS Specialist to join our Operations Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) team. This critical role ensures that environmental safety and industrial health programs are consistently implemented and maintained at the assigned site, promoting regulatory compliance and a safe, responsible work environment aligned with MAPEI's environmental, safety, and health policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities Assist with audits, inspections, and timely submission of regulatory reports. Respond to and support site emergencies. Conduct incident investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective actions. Deliver EHS training (classroom and online) to support safety and compliance. Enforce safety rules, work procedures, and regulatory requirements. Report EHS issues and improvement opportunities to the EHS Manager. Support communication with environmental and safety regulatory agencies.Management Systems & Continuous Improvement Support EMS and HSMS implementation, maintenance, and internal audits. Contribute to continuous improvement using the Plan-Do-Check-Act cycle.Environmental Compliance Complete tasks related to environmental permits and programs. Support waste management and pollution reduction efforts.Health & Safety Tour work areas to identify and correct unsafe behaviors/conditions. Conduct safety drills and support emergency response activities. Lead or assist with risk assessments and Management of Change (MOC) reviews. Requirements and Responsibilities
- Responsible for reviewing and evaluating Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) construction projects, including: using the plan design against new build, span and drop replacements (if needed), risers, aerial installations, bonding and grounding of the strand (messenger), proper installation of any fiber-optic cable, splice cases and cabinets, splitters and XWDM (Wavelength Division Multiplexing), underground installations (bores, vaults, and trenches) and MDU lockbox replacements.
- Perform quality checks on work completed.
- Perform quality checks on ongoing projects. Answer questions the contractors may have regarding design prints. Ensure OSHA standards are followed in the field (PPE). Ensure MOT is followed during field work.
- Responsible for verifying footage, path depth, easement adherence, sequential, and proper splicing practices are followed.
- Ensuring proper equipment and materials are used during construction.
- Meet with city/county/DOT inspectors in the field.
- Submit QC inspection forms in a timely manner.
- Meet with disgruntled homeowners to answer their questions or correct their complaints.
- Explain the construction process.
- Ensure property restoration is completed to standard.
- Meet with utility locators in the field and other utility representatives to address damages.

- Preform Pre-Construction Ride out to ensure proposed project can be constructed as designed. To include Cabinet locations, Tree Trimming, Aerial Pole Line verification, Bore Rig placement and any other hazards that could potentially Roadblock Construction.
- Perform construction inspections for quality control in accordance with Tillman FiberCo's Technical Quality Assurance (TQA) standards.
- Maintain accurate records (As Built) as project progresses through the construction phase.
- Verify that property restoral is consistent with Tillmans FiberCo's standard practice.
- Operate test equipment as needed to verify optical levels are set as designed.
- Document (in still image and/or video) that aerial construction, underground vaults, and cabinets have been built and installed as specified by customer.
- Prepare work orders to resolve any element in the plant that does not meet specifications.
- Communicate with Project Manager or designated Supervisor regarding concerns about construction progress.
- Ability to work weekends or a second shift as the business needs dictate.
- Perform emergency locates as necessary.
- Adhere to industry specific local, state, and federal regulations, as applicable such as Traffic Control.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. This particular role is seeking a candidate with direct & hands-on experience in the (CEMS) field the pay range listed is based on various levels of that direct experience.
The pay range for this entry-level role is $35-$50 per hour. Plus Annual Performance Bonus.
