Northrop Grumman Defense Systems sector is currently seeking a Manufacturing Analyst to join our growing team in Warner Robins, Georgia. In this position, the selected candidate will take an active role in information security governance protecting the men and women that fly our nation's aircraft in harm's way.
**Responsibilities:**
- Supports production, business, and other processes in a team-based manufacturing environment.
- Performs activities in a variety of cross-functional areas including production planning and control, total quality management, systems, manufacturing, equipment and facilities engineering, material management, and process reengineering.
- Facilitate self-directed work teams, provide training in core skill areas to teams and peers, and interact with internal and external customers with respect to product planning, problem resolution, and process improvement.
- Applies advanced technical knowledge to solve complex problems that typically cannot be solved solely by referencing manufacturers' manuals or similar documents, such as:
- Determining the location and density of circuitry
- Evaluating electromagnetic radiation
- Isolating malfunctions to component level
- Incorporating engineering designs
- Exercises independent judgment in performing such tasks as making circuit analyses, calculating wave forms, and tracing relationships in signal flow
- Uses complex test instruments such as high frequency pulse generators, frequency synthesizers, distortion analyzers, and complex computer control equipment
- Work may be reviewed by supervisor for general compliance with accepted practices
- May provide technical guidance to lower-level technicians
**Basic Qualifications:**
-Must have High School Diploma/GED and 6 additional years of related experience/education may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Will also accept a bachelor's degree or appropriate Military Occupational Specialty in electronics repair (or related field) with a minimum of 2 years of electronics / electrical repair experience;
- Must have work experience in manufacturing automated test equipment, troubleshooting, testing, building, and repair
- Must have an in-depth understanding of the interrelationships of circuits
- Must be able to demonstrate the ability to solve real world complex electronic problems
- Must have the understanding of how to operate measuring equipment and tools.
- Must have experience working solo: self-prioritizing and tasking, consistent cadence
- Must have experience working within teams: projects, meeting schedules, and goals
- Must have experience working with customers: meetings, presentations, and tours
- Must have an interim or active U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance, or an inactive clearance (last active within the past 2 years)
- Must be able to work any shift
- Must be able to work on-site in Warner Robins, Georgia

Primary Level Salary Range: $63,800.00 - $95,800.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

- Utilize PLM system including reviewing product design changes and assess manufacturing impact
- Recognize labor impact with process/design changes and implement plans with little impact to Mfg departments.
- Develop business cases, write AFEs for funding procurement
- Develop process changes/improvements using SPC, PFMEA, and control plans
- Utilize root cause analysis methodology to solving manufacturing issues
- Will be working within an ISO 9000 quality system and produce documentation acceptable to the customer

- Ability to weld (tig, arc, mig) in order to fabricate assembly fixtures, tools and jigs
- Ability to work on several jobs at once

Job Summary
Reporting to the SVP, Lean Transformation & Quality, this role is responsible for directing and coordinating the activities of Fabrication Manufacturing Engineering in an efficient manner for the desired quality and quantity of work in support of the operations Director of Fabrication. You will ensure that product designs, specifications, facilities and labor are maximized to improve the manufacturability ensuring the highest quality at the lowest cost for all products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead fabrication manufacturing engineering in developing then implementing production support, cost reduction, line presentation of material, lean manufacturing improvements, process flow improvement initiatives and corrective action support
- Serve as fabrication department technical support
- Participate in approval of all new products with operations through an initial sample inspection report (ISIR) investigation and ensure all metrics are met prior to implementation
- Utilize product lifecycle management (PLM) system including reviewing product design changes and assess manufacturing impact
- Recognize labor impact with process/design changes and implement plans with little impact to manufacturing departments
- Develop business cases, create authorizations for expenditures for funding procurement
- Lead continuous process improvement efforts using statistical process control (SPC), process failure mode and effects analysis (PFMEA), and control plans
- Work with Production & Quality team to analyze, resolve and respond to manufacturing issues
- Assure that resources are available to provide necessary tooling, routers, labor standards, raw material structure, make vs. buy analysis, process instructions, and technical support for the timely implementation of engineering changes
- Establish accountability and goals for the Manufacturing Engineering team to be used in annual performance appraisals
- Hold employees and support functions accountable for achieving objectives
- Utilize fiscal responsibility in manufacturing process, equipment/tooling procurement, and travel
- Will be working within an ISO 9000 quality system and produce documentation acceptable to the customer

Basic Education and Experience Required
- Must have Bachelor's degree in Engineering from Accredited University
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in manufacturing, automotive preferred

We are looking for you to join our team as a Manufacturing Engineering Manager 2 working in our Depot production and repair operation located in Warner Robins, GA.
**What You'll Get to Do:**
The Manufacturing Engineering Manager 2 will lead a team of engineers working within the Warner Robins Operating Unit. The successful candidate will lead direct report employees based on organizational goals, program activity, and company policies. The ideal candidate will be able to work individually as well as collaborate with a diverse group of individuals, work tactically, but with an eye towards future strategy, and exhibit solid communication skills while acting as the technical representative voice for the depot manufacturing engineering team.
The Manager will support and be accountable for goals including:
+ Provide project and technical oversight of all activities performed by the group
+ Prepare cost estimates, provide proposal inputs, and review proposal content for both internal and external customers
+ Presents work products at program reviews, proposals, or other project meetings
+ Create new and modify existing assembly/ manufacturing instructions with necessary operations to support build sequence, while also including specifications/quality requirements
+ Apply advanced manufacturing processes, model-based manufacturing, and development of manufacturing plan
+ Ensure team members are familiar with and use required engineering processes, procedures, and tools
+ Facilitate/mediate in conflict resolution matters.
+ Leadership for support and adherence to standard processes.
+ Cultivate an inclusive and engaging workplace. Ensure employees' work life balance is appropriate.

**Basic Qualifications:**
+ Must have 12 years of engineering or related experience with a high school diploma/GED.
+ Will also consider a Bachelor's Degree in an engineering discipline with 8 years of engineering or related experience; Masters Degree in an engineering discipline with 6 years of engineering or related experience; Will also consider 10 years of engineering or related experience with Associates Degree in Engineering discipline
+ 6+ years of manufacturing engineering and/or manufacturing technology experience
+ 4+ years of project management / IPT leadership / cost account management experience.
+ Demonstrated excellence in written and oral communication skills along with proven success working in an integrated product team environment.
+ High proficiency in technical problem solving, to include trade studies and root cause analysis.
+ Candidate must have knowledge of engineering and manufacturing process, be proficient in process development as well as functional organization aspects.
+ Experience and extensive knowledge of advanced manufacturing processes and development of manufacturing plans.
+ Experience in cost estimation, cost account management, developing detailed integrated schedules, risk identification and management, earned value management, and proposals
+ This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. citizen and the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret (or higher) clearance.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Bachelors Degree in STEM related discipline
+ Experience as an engineering manager, program manager, and/or chief engineer
+ Experience generating or overseeing the creation of Manufacturing BOMs, processes, and work instructions
+ Knowledge of USAF Electronic Warfare, Radar, and/or Avionics business areas
+ Experience leading large cross functional development projects.
+ Knowledge of Manufacturing Modeling Tools

Salary Range: $111,700.00 - $167,500.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
