Bachelor's Degree. 10 years of related experience. PMP (PMI), CCM or DBIA certification is required (within 12 months of hire or promotion onto the Approved Project Manager list). WVNCC has been awarded $1.5 million as part of the U.S. Department of Labor's $5 million Strengthening Community Colleges Training Grant (SCCTG) initiative. MAPS 2.0 is a next-generation, industry-aligned skills pathway designed to support the revitalized manufacturing and production industries in West Virginia's Northern Panhandle.  This initiative aims to build workforce education and training capacity in the Ohio River Valley region, focusing on sustainable and scalable change to prepare students for careers in advanced manufacturing and next generation energy.

The plan includes strategic partnerships with manufacturers like Form Energy and organizations such as Project BEST, the West Virginia Manufacturers Association, and local schools to design cohesive training programs that align with industry needs. Provide employers access to a stronger pipeline of talent aligned with current and future workforce needs. The project calls for the creation of stackable credentials and training programs that provide a clear pathway to employment in advanced manufacturing in specialized fields such as Computer Integrated Machining, Mechatronics, Industrial Systems Technology, and Welding.

Job Summary

The Manufacturing and Production Skills Pathways (MAPS 2.0) Project Director reports to the Vice President for Continuing Education and Workforce Development (CEWD).  This position is grant funded until January 31, 2029, and will lead the strategic development, coordination, and implementation of grant activities, initiatives, and programs across all three WVNCC campuses. This grant leverages a consortium of manufacturers and other strategic partners.

The Project Director provides overall leadership for student-success focused on the MAPS 2.0 project; hire & evaluate project staff; develop, monitor and enforce appropriate policies and procedures for project implementation; effectively collaborate with other administrators, faculty and staff to achieve objectives; communicate an informed understanding of MAPS 2.0 objectives to all constituencies of WVNCC; authorize all expenditures & manage budget; facilitate development & implementation of an effective evaluation & assessment process to evaluate progress toward achievement of goals and objectives; remain thoroughly informed regarding SCCTG policies and grant terms & conditions; ensure adherence to all applicable college, State & federal requirements; communicate effectively and oversee preparation & submission of required fiscal and annual reports with Dept. of Labor; work with administrators and faculty to institutionalize new practices & improvements.

Requires knowledge and application of project strategy development and implementation. Must be able to work with and lead internal and external partners to create new partnerships for the projects. Utilizes college software systems (i.e. Banner, Argos, WEAVE, ClearPoint and KRONOS) to manage and assess the success of the project. Responsible for maintaining accurate records of participant requirements throughout their enrollment and of grant reports during the life of the grant. 

Essential Functions

* Promotes WVNCC & MAPS 2.0 mission, values, and vision and attends College events and meetings.
* Provide overall project leadership and supervision of the "Strengthening Community Colleges Training Grant (SCCTG)" project.
* Serve as the primary liaison between the College, Project Consultant, and the Program Officer at the U.S. Department of Labor. 
* Remain current regarding SCCTG and U.S. Department of Labor policies, grant terms, and conditions; ensure project compliance throughout grant period.
* Participate in professional development appropriate to the functions of the position, including national SCCTG meetings/conferences and Department of Labor sponsored trainings. 
* Provide SCCTG orientation, training, and technical assistance to project staff, faculty, and College personnel to ensure all parties remain current on regulations, policies, and best practices related to implementation of the MAPS 2.0 Plan of Operation. 
* Provide program and budgetary oversight of the Maps 2.0 grant and Plan of Operation. 
* Ensure appropriate use of federal funds; manage budget; maintain budget control; approve expenditures.
* Ensure accomplishment of Grant Objectives.
* Oversee program evaluation including the preparation and submission of financial and technical reports for the U.S. Department of Labor and the College.
* Assist with the recruitment, onboarding, development, and growth of key personnel for the Maps 2.0 program.
* Works with Advising and Career Services to develop and implement strategies for Advanced Manufacturing enrollment, placement, and retention of students to ensure the long-term sustainability of the MAPS 2.0 program
* Works with recruiters, advanced manufacturing companies, local workforce development boards, basic skills, and K-12 schools to recruit students into Advanced Manufacturing pathways
* Works with Institutional Research personnel, Advising, Workforce Development Boards, faculty and staff to collect, analyze, and report student data
* Maintains and updates accurate database on students, employers, grant funding and project outcomes
* Conducts job development and referrals to connect students with hiring employers
* Helps develop criteria for credit for prior learning (CPL)
* Attends weekly, monthly and quarterly meetings, to review new policies and procedures, brainstorm with consortium peers to achieve the goals of the grant
* Maintain effective communication to inform the College community and to ensure project congruence with institutional goals.
* Work with College constituents to design strategies for student retention/completion/transition that are responsive to students' needs. 
* Maintain high level of sensitivity, understanding, and respect for students, parents, employees, partners and the community.
* Represent the College, serve as the primary point of contact for the MAPS 2.0 project.
* Performs other duties appropriate to the position and College priorities. 
*  Frequent travel required between campuses and to corporations, schools, meetings and conferences, etc.

Job Description

Our client, a leader in the materials processing industry, is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to join their team. As a Quality Control Inspector, you will be part of the quality assurance department supporting the overall integrity of product output. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently, which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title:** Quality Control Inspector
**Location:** Steubenville
**Pay Range: $17/hr**
**Shift: 7:00am-3:30pm**
**What's the Job?**
+ Hand sorting through raw material (rock) to remove rock that doesn't belong.
+ Transporting buckets of keep and discard piles of rock to appropriate areas.
+ Utilizing guide photos and criteria provided for reference during sorting.
+ Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
+ Collaborating with team members to ensure quality standards are met.
**What's Needed?**
+ No prior experience required; a willingness to learn is essential.
+ Strong attention to detail to differentiate between similar-looking materials.
+ Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
+ Good communication skills to follow instructions and collaborate with the team.
+ Physical ability to lift and move materials as needed.
