**SUMMARY**
Provides shop floor support to maintenance, production, and management for automation work centers in assembly and molding.
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Evaluate and develop plans to improve the performance of automation equipment.
+ Works closely with all functions to improve equipment safety, quality, and performance, especially regarding the human-machine interface.
+ Provides support, staffing, and training recommendations.
+ Trains, mentors, and works closely with the automation technicians.
+ Training stakeholders on how to troubleshoot automation systems
+ Upgrading or deactivating existing automation systems
+ Other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's Degree in related field; Engineering, automation design or manufacturing required
+ Minimum of 5 years experience with automation, electrical and mechanical design, and fabricating experience required (preferably within the automotive industry)
+ Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
+ Must be organized and able to work independently as well as in a team environment
+ Proficiency with solid modeling software and the creation of shop prints - SolidWorks or Geomagic design preferred
+ Machining experience with CNC experience a plus
+ Programming experience (PLC (Allen Bradley), Fanuc, Wittman) a plus
+ Experience with hydraulics, robotics, electrical systems, automation, machine maintenance, installation, and repair, including auxiliary equipment and material fundamentals - Experience with injection molding a plus
+ Must possess exceptional mechanical skills and good visual skills for accessing the functionality of the equipment
+ Experience in adjusting vision systems, specifically Keyence and Cognex.
+ Ability to program, maintain, and adjust 6-axis and cartesian robotics
+ Ability to root cause and troubleshoot complex automation
+ Ability to lead and mentor others
+ Ability to work overtime and weekends as required

**Summary:** Packs quality finished goods into boxes for shipment and assists Technician with basic line issues in a safe and efficient manner.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.**
+ Safely and effectively verifies conformance of finished goods to quality assurance standards by performing the following duties:
+ Serves as Quality Champion for the shift.
+ Attend daily shift handoff meetings.
+ Organize rework for packer and facilitates coaching/training on expectations.
+ Review production packaging and compare to product catalog and packaging requirements.
+ Inspect product, including weight, ID/OD, thickness and functionality
+ Visual inspect of product for defects
+ Understand cosmetic and functional defects
+ Set up, calibrate, and supply gages to production
+ Enters data into computer and prints required inspection documents
+ Familiarity with data acquisition
+ Usage of QC table set up in Thermoforming a plus
+ Collects product samples and perform test including but not limited to;
+ Pipe, Haze, Tuck Angle, Dyne, first check inspection, weights, dimensions (Thermo)
+ Visual inspections of print quality, tape adhesion test and fill line verification (Print)
+ Contains and inspects product when an issue is found
+ Place product on QC hold in house and electronically. (i.e. affix hold tickets, identify hold product and move to hold area)
+ Maintains records of all inspections and results
+ Verify Job Docket, Job Specification sheet, changeover and sign off on line
+ Completes paperwork accurately and in a timely manner
+ Perform case audits which include verification of the following
+ Packaging Materials, box, sleeves.
+ Port Tickets on the line matches the schedule
+ Production Code is legible
+ Assure sleeve count, # of sleeves and configuration of the box and pallets are correct

Job Summary:

The Refractories QC Technician is responsible for ensuring that refractory materials, products, and processes meet established quality standards in the manufacturing of refractories. This includes conducting regular inspections, testing, and analysis of materials to verify compliance with specifications, identifying areas for improvement, and assisting in the resolution of quality issues.

Key Responsibilities:

Safety & compliance:
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing tests and handling materials.
  • Ensure that all quality control activities comply with environmental and health standards.
Materials Testing & Inspection:
  • Perform physical and chemical testing of refractory materials (e.g., bricks, mortars, castables) to ensure conformity with internal and external specifications.
  • Conduct tests such as compressive strength, porosity and density.
  • Inspect refractory products during various stages of production to ensure quality standards are met.
Data Collection & Reporting:
  • Record and document test results, inspection findings, and quality control reports.
  • Maintain accurate logs of test results for certification or audits.
  • Provide regular updates to the QC Manager and production teams on material quality and performance.
Nonconformance Management:

Equipment Calibration & Maintenance:

  • Work closely with the production and procurement teams to communicate material quality issues and improve overall processes.
  • Assist in training production staff on quality standards and best practices for refractory materials.

**Roles & Responsibilities:**
+ Accountable for driving a timely close process, accurate financials and strong internal controls.
+ Leads tasks/projects related to driving profitability, budgeting, audit and capital.

+ Must be a highly motivated, results driven, and self-starting individual who can use their work experience and apply theory to prepare cost analysis
+ Process improvement experience preferred
+ Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and monitoring progress
+ Knowledge of financial systems and multiple ERPs (SAP preferred)
+ Excellent MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Teams) required
+ Excellent communication skills (formal and informal) with business acumen and ability to communicate within all levels of the organization, setting a tone of working in partnership and collaboration

Provides shop floor support to maintenance, production, and management for automation work centers in assembly and molding.
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Evaluate and develop plans to improve the performance of automation equipment.
+ Works closely with all functions to improve equipment safety, quality, and performance, especially regarding the human-machine interface.
+ Provides support, staffing, and training recommendations.
+ Trains, mentors, and works closely with the automation technicians.
+ Training stakeholders on how to troubleshoot automation systems
+ Upgrading or deactivating existing automation systems
+ Other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's Degree in related field; Engineering, automation design or manufacturing required
+ Minimum of 5 years experience with automation, electrical and mechanical design, and fabricating experience required (preferably within the automotive industry)
+ Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
+ Must be organized and able to work independently as well as in a team environment
+ Proficiency with solid modeling software and the creation of shop prints - SolidWorks or Geomagic design preferred
+ Machining experience with CNC experience a plus
+ Programming experience (PLC (Allen Bradley), Fanuc, Wittman) a plus
+ Experience with hydraulics, robotics, electrical systems, automation, machine maintenance, installation, and repair, including auxiliary equipment and material fundamentals - Experience with injection molding a plus

+ Experience in adjusting vision systems, specifically Keyence and Cognex.
+ Ability to program, maintain, and adjust 6-axis and cartesian robotics
