- Clean equipment in a proper and timely manner to ensure safe, quality products
- Follow all safety procedures including wearing all required personal protective equipment
- Effectively and safely operate and maintain the assigned machine and all related equipment to ensure all daily orders are met
- Follow standard work for assigned machine and standard work processes
- Monitor product to ensure quality standards are met or exceeded
- Maintain work area in a clean and orderly fashion
- Actively participate in Total Process Control activities
- Work around ingredients and/or finished products known to contain food allergens
- Follow established programs, policies, and practices to produce safe quality foods that meet regulatory and company requirements

Our four operations facilities specialize in creating head-to-toe firefighter protective gear for first responders worldwide. Our Gear Wash subsidiary is the world’s largest Independent Service Provider (ISP) for gear care and maintenance, we ensure that firefighters’ equipment remains in top condition. Our offerings include turnout gear, alternative PPE, boots, hoods, gloves, and helmets. We are looking to add to our team of dynamic associates in Pelham with associates who are ready to contribute to our mission to serve those who serve
We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Quality Control Associate to join our team. In this role, the Quality Control Associate is responsible for executing and maintaining quality assurance functions specific to their site. This role ensures that all products meet internal and customer quality standards through inspections, documentation, and process control. The associate will support continuous improvement efforts and uphold the integrity compliance, quality systems and records.
Hours:
Monday through Friday:
- Monday through Thursday: 7:00 am - 4:30 pm
- Friday: 7:00 am – 11:00 am – start your weekend earlier
Responsibilities Include:
- Conduct in-process inspections of garments to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications
- Identify, report, and assist in the resolution of nonconforming materials and products
- Preparation of samples for compliance submission and testing
- Review and communicate findings from Returned Goods Authorizations (RGAs) and customer complaints
- Collaborate with production and quality teams to implement corrective and preventive actions
- Support internal audits and participate in external audits as needed
- Support team members on proactive Quality Improvement projects
- Prepare and maintain quality reports and metrics for site leadership and the Quality Manager
- Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement throughout the site
- Perform other related duties and assignments as required
Candidates should possess the following:
- Minimum High school diploma, general education degree (GED)
- 1–3 years of experience in quality control, preferably in garment or textile manufacturing
- Familiarity with quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001) and inspection techniques
- Highly skilled in Microsoft applications, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint and ability to learn new software programs and systems
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time, including overnights
- Experience with problem solving
- Ability to work positively in teams as well as possess self-accountability
- Open and effective communicator and collaborator with all levels of the organization, including verbally and written, including being a team player and having a professional interface with others, getting results through collaboration
- Efficient with multi-tasking and managing multiple priorities, including being productive while handling re-directions and interruptions, based upon business needs
- Strong sense of urgency, follow-through, and diligence, including meeting deadlines and have the ability to remain organized with and keep track of multiple sources of information and data
- Possess a high attention to detail and proficient at record-keeping • Flexibility in day to day
