The **Manufacturing Supervisor** will provide general leadership and direct supervision to production crew. Ensure that quality standards are maintained, and productivity targets are met. The **Manufacturing Supervisor** will monitor/manage production performance to include: Efficiency (min 87%), Reliability (min 90%), safety management, cost containment, quality of service, and customer requirements. Comply with SQF, Food Safety Plan (HACCP), Food Quality Plan (FQP) standards. This role is 100% based on-site in Greendale, IN. This is a second shift position and typical work hours will be Monday-Friday from 3PM-11:30PM.
**The Role**
+ Oversee and direct the planning and execution of daily production activity.
+ Ensure any changes in processes and procedures are properly implemented.
+ Direct and manage the operations to improve performance through continuous improvement methodology and problem analysis to reduce unscheduled downtime, minor equipment stops, breakdowns, process upsets, material quality losses.
+ Analyze, report and complete daily production reports, gap analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
+ Utilize data to facilitate the timely, accurate interpretation, and reporting of performance, quality, and safety data.

+ Schedule, train, and mentor crew so that they can produce at maximum efficiency.

**Welcome to BWXT:**
At BWXT, our interns perform challenging tasks in their field of study while developing and delivering unique solutions for use in a nuclear environment. Our interns work collaboratively as part of our teams and will create/update drawings and procedures, assist with product and/or tooling designs, perform testing and analysis, and assist with project management and the procurement of materials as needed. **Your Day to Day as a Manufacturing Engineering Intern:**

**Required Qualifications:**
+ Successful candidates must be currently enrolled in an ABET accredited mechanical engineering program.
+ Students must be at a sophomore standing or above at the time the internship begins
+ Students must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
+ Qualifications include strong communication and coordination skills, interest in working with multiple disciplines in support of product design and manufacture and adept with Scheduling Software Programs.

**Manufacturing Engineer - BWX Technologies, Inc. - Barberton, Ohio**
**Responsibilities include:**
+ Responsible for development and support of manufacturing process plans in accordance with contract technical requirements.
+ The Manufacturing Engineer assumes responsibility for implementation of the manufacturing process and improvements to the process during the complete fabrication cycle.
+ Ensures all design and quality requirements are satisfied.
+ Works with Design Engineering during the component design phase to ensure the design can be manufactured in a cost-effective manner.
+ Interfaces directly with customer representatives and prepare data or presentations as needed
+ Identifies facility and tooling requirements, manufacturing methods and /or develops new manufacturing methods.
+ Identifies material requirements and supports procurement.
+ Monitors performance and controls costs of manufacture.
+ Prepares technical procedures and documents.
+ Resolves any problems encountered during manufacture.
+ Works with vendors as necessary.
+ Provides status and schedule support of products during the complete manufacturing cycle.
+ Prepares Program Plans as required, incorporating necessary schedule and support information.
**Job Qualifications/Requirements:**
+ Qualifications include strong communications skills, and interest in working with multiple disciplines in support of product design and manufacture and adept with MRP & Microsoft Office programs.
+ Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical Engineering preferred)
+ Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a DOE issued Security Clearance

The base salary range for this position in ((stateProvince)) at the start of employment is expected to be between ((cust_salaryMin)) and ((cust_salaryMax)) per year. • Interpret and control furnace conditions to ensure the product is consistent with customer specifications and meets all quality standards.
• Operate equipment such as tow motors, overhead cranes, welders and hoists.
• Conduct preventive and general maintenance on furnace hardware.
• Troubleshoot equipment and system abnormalities and perform required maintenance to fix the issues.
• Operate hand tools: grinders, saws and drill presses to condition and prepare Ingots for the next process step.
• Adhere to all standard operating procedures and ensure compliance with all safety and quality processes.

Basic Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of one-year related manufacturing experience.
• Experience with conducting general maintenance on equipment or experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, or electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and blueprints.
• Experience using a computer to enter and track data.
• Exhibit a strong work ethic that includes a good attendance record.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondences.
• Ability to work a flexible work schedule to include holidays, weekends, and overtime.
• Ability to work in high, precarious places and small or confined spaces.
• Physical Demands: The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms and climb or balance. The employee is frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50lbs.
