Position Summary

Plant Electricians will use their knowledge and skills to troubleshoot and solve electrical controls problems on existing equipment/processes while maintaining all company safety standards. The Plant Electrician will be called upon to assist and work closely with Engineering Dept. to continuously improve equipment and manufacturing processes.

480 - 600 VAC 3phase

2300 VAC 3 phase

4160 VAC 3 phase

13,800 VAC 3 phase

Again these voltages depend on the facility and level of training required.

Industrial type electrical work.

  • Power distribution switchgear breakers and transformers.
  • Motor control and power circuits controlling motors ranging from fractional to several hundred horsepower.
  • Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and HMI (Human Machine Interface, controls systems through virtual video displays).
  • Instrumentation devices to sense or measure temperatures, flows, pressures, speed, level, acidities, etc.



Types of equipment to expect.

  • Overhead bridge cranes.
  • Electrical Motor driven pumps.
  • Hydraulic drive motors and pumps.
  • Belt or Screw conveyors.
  • Large blowers and fans.
  • Large mixers and fans.



Tools to be expected.

  • Standard hand tools (screwdrivers, ratchets, sockets, hammers etc.)

  • Communication line testing tools.
  • Drills, saws, bandsaws, conduit bender, threader, wire/cable puller etc.



Understanding of and ability to comprehend.

  16. Assists in the development and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS)

Education & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing and industrial engineering

**JOB SUMMARY**
Person will be responsible for accurately assembling, wiring, and finalization of various
electronic devices and assemblies. All assemblies vary by size and complexity and are built to
Engineering specifications.
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Load programs, firmware, and settings into devices by using computers and peripheral
hardware.
- Assemble control devices, apply labels, and package peripherals as detailed by
Engineering and Production documentation.
- Assemble and wire control devices per schematic diagram.
- Use computer ERP system to perform daily material transactions and log assembly data.
- Maintain an organized work area for safety and productivity.
- Work requires standing, use of hand tools, and occasional lifting.
- Assist verifying stock accuracy with occasional cycle counts.

**SKILL AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT**
