Maintenance Manager Job description - Manufacturing This is a critical role leading the Maintenance function for a tire manufacturing plant in Mesa, AZ. The Maintenance Manager is responsible to ensure their team complies with all safety procedures and continuously improve site safety. This position also seeks to continually improve the reliability, and efficiency of plant mechanical rotating and fixed equipment. Using a variety of tools, technology and experience, the maintenance manager is expected to enhance the company's approach to predictive and preventative maintenance in our chemical processing environment. The Maintenance Manager is responsible for developing the department CapEx and OpEx budgets and working in those budgets to achieve the company goals and objectives.

• Overseeing maintenance systems and strategy for entire site in a chemical manufacturing environment
• Perform failure analysis and root cause analysis
• Planning and scheduling all maintenance activities including shutdowns to ensure reliable operations
• Ensuring all compliance-based inspections are completed and documented.
• Managing all project work as dictated by the needs of the research effort
• Manage Maintenance Team (Millwright and IE&C)
• Mechanical Engineering efforts for new processes
• Participate and lead in cross functional and international teams

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Manager General Manufacturing I for its Business Unit, Armament Systems located in Mesa, AZ . Armament Systems is a leading supplier of integrated medium-caliber weapon systems for land, air and sea platforms through its world renowned Bushmaster line of automatic cannons produced at its Mesa, Arizona facility.

Responsibilities of this role:

Lead a team of Machinist Technicians within the Operations department. This General Manufacturing Manager role supports the Northrop Grumman Armament System Gun programs.

• Effectively lead a diverse team of Machining Technicians in a dynamic product production environment.

• Set and promote high standards for quality and safety.

• Foster a working environment which reinforces and drives accountability to fundamental Northrop Grumman Values focused on integrity, quality, shared success, and innovation.

• Partner with engineering and program management peers to assure a balanced and efficient assignment of resources to support the gun programs and achievement in key performance metrics.

• Drive Team technical excellence in Production.

• Balance team workload and staffing requirements to meet current and future program needs.

• Coach direct reports in the areas of career development, performance, and teamwork. Provide training and development opportunities. Provide continual feedback and hold quarterly connections.

Basic Qualifications

• We are emphasizing skills for this role. Will consider 9+ years of experience in place of a degree with a High School Degree or equivalent. Will also consider a Bachelors Degree + 5 years of experience; Masters Degree + 3 years of experience; PhD + 0 years of experience.

• Experience directly or indirectly managing people.

• Excellent communication skills written and oral.

• Experience working in manufacturing environment.

• Ability to solve problems and drive continuous improvements.

• Basic understanding of Microsoft Project, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

• Must be a US Citizen and able to acquire a Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree or above.

• Strong general knowledge in manufacturing methods and machining processes.

Salary Range: $82,100 - $123,100

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
