**Propósito:** Ejecuta, opera maquinaria y domina las actividades y procesos de empaque en tres (3)

Asiste a los técnicos de mantenimiento en el "Troubleshooting" de los equipos de su área funcional. Adiestra personal nuevo en las áreas como parte del programa de adiestramiento cruzado. **Responsabilidades Principales:**

+ Ensambla y desensambla el equipo, componentes y/o empaques de productos (productor terminado en cajas corrugadas, re-trabaja el producto) y acomoda en paletas en una posición a través de todo el proceso.
+ Ajusta, inspecciona y aprueba la línea de empaque asignada y componentes a ser utilizados antes de comenzar la corrida del próximo producto.
+ Opera, realiza ajustes y la mecánica del equipo de empaque asignado (mecánica liviana), así como realiza el mantenimiento preventivo, elimina atascamientos en la línea y lleva record de las operaciones de los equipos y sistemas.
+ Ejecuta las actividades de empaque, siguiendo las instrucciones de trabajo y documenta dichas actividades en el registro de empaque utilizando los sistemas correspondientes de ePES, SAP.
+ Puede coordinar y ejecutar limpieza de los equipos durante los cambios mayores "Changeover" o durante el proceso. Realiza sanitizaciones en la línea.
+ Documenta, revisa y verifica calibraciones de equipos (balanzas, equipos de control, etc.) previo al uso de los mismos.
+ Realiza y documenta el inventario final del material usado y el material rechazado en el sistema correspondiente de ePES, SAP.
**Cualificaciones** **/** **R** **equisitos:**
+ Grado Técnico en Mecánica, Electricidad, Instrumentación u otra área relacionada, y cuatro (4) años de experiencia en la industria de manufactura; o Diploma de Escuela Superior, y 7 años de experiencia en la industria de manufactura es requerido.
+ Adiestramiento en el uso de sistemas computarizados de control de inventario y manejo de documentos es preferido.
+ Leer, escribir y entender ambos idiomas español e Inglés es preferido.
+ Buen conocimiento de las Buenas Prácticas de Manufactura, Reglas de Documentación, Seguridad Ocupacional y Ambiental es requerido.
+ Buen conocimiento de la teoría y conceptos científicos de los procesos de empaque de su área funcional, incluyendo sus especificaciones es preferido.
+ Conocimiento de las máquinas y/o equipos de su área funcional es preferido.
+ Buenas destrezas en el uso de programas computarizados: SAP, ePES, manejo de documentos electrónico, "Learning Management System", etc es preferido.

**What you will do**
+ Coordinate, and manage the planning and implementation of processes for capacity, improvements and production of the manufacturing areas. Fully comply with all regulatory and quality standard requirements.
+ Responsible to stop further processing in the event of encountering non-conforming product condition. Provides/coordinates for technical support and manufacturing issue resolution.
+ Lead projects and programs to implement improvements of processes and assembly to obtain efficiencies for the manufacturing areas. Ensures the effective use of materials, equipment and subordinate personnel in producing highly quality products at minimal costs.
+ Plan, organize and set goals for the functions to best utilize personnel. Will submit periodic reports on areas of responsibility. May have personal contact with customers.
+ Review and approval of validation and quality system documentation. Manage departmental budget.
+ Manage directly and/or indirectly the activities of manufacturing supervisors, engineers and/or project managers.
+ Sets overall group goals and priorities and evaluates subordinate's performance based on those goals and priorities. Coaches and develops manufacturing engineers and supervisors.
+ Is responsible for manufacturing engineers complying with company policies and corrective actions.

**ASSOCIATE MANUFACTURING- INSPECTION**
**What you will do**
In this vital role, you will support the manufacturing of life-changing therapies at Amgen Manufacturing Limited in Puerto Rico. You'll be part of a 24x7 operation, ensuring safe and efficient production through equipment operation, procedural compliance, and teamwork-on any shift, any day, where your contribution makes a difference.
**Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:**
+ Operate manufacturing equipment independently after completing required training and qualification, contributing to the reliable execution of daily production activities.
+ Perform set up, operate, and troubleshoot automated equipment to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency as per established procedures to uphold quality and regulatory compliance.
+ Monitor equipment, workspaces, and process outputs to confirm they meet safety, quality, and performance standards.
+ Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), and safety protocols consistently-using reader-doer or similar methods when applicable.
+ Use electronic systems such as SAP, Symphony, SCADA, or batch record platforms (training provided) to record activities, track materials, and verify production data accurately.
+ Complete documentation in a timely, compliant manner, applying Good Documentation Practices (GDP) to ensure traceability and readiness for inspections or audits.
+ Stay informed by reviewing SOPs regularly and asking questions when clarity is needed-supporting safe and accurate execution of tasks.
+ Detect and respond to equipment or process deviations early, following SOPs and escalating issues to leads or support teams when appropriate.
+ Perform monitoring and maintain machine uptime by addressing faults, stoppages and basic troubleshooting; partner with engineers, mechanics, or leads when resolution is beyond scope.
+ Support investigation or root-cause analysis efforts to help resolve process issues and improve performance.
+ Work collaboratively with peers, leads, and trainers to meet expectations, solve problems, and foster a respectful, team-oriented work culture.
+ Adapt to changing priorities and offer support to the team during downtime or as directed by your lead or supervisor to maintain operational flow.
+ Participate in daily team meetings and use communication tools and production tracking systems to align your work with real-time production needs.
+ Demonstrate commitment, flexibility, and attention to detail to complete tasks efficiently-especially within a dynamic, round-the-clock production environment.
+ Ensure materials and components are available to support continuous operations.

**Basic Qualifications:**
Bachelor's Degree
OR
Associate's + 6 months of Manufacturing work experience
OR
High school/GED + 2 years of Manufacturing work experience
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Working experience in manufacturing in a GMP regulated environment.
+ Robust knowledge and proven successful track execution of Good Manufacturing Procedures.
+ Ability to use computer systems to support the material inventory system (SAP transactions) and electronic batch records.
+ Ability to support Manual and Automatic Inspection Activities.
+ Obtain applicable manual inspection certifications (must).
+ Excellent attention to detail, good organization, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
+ Able to work in small groups and cross functional teams to troubleshoot issues, identify and implement collective corrective actions.
+ Experience working with highly automated equipment.
+ Experience working with Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs).
+ Capacity to follow written procedures, recognize and report malfunctions of equipment.
+ Have outstanding communication/ collaboration/ escalation skills.
+ Intermediate Mathematics and problem-solving skills.
+ Knowledge with basic computer operations, such as ability to navigate in MS Office, use email, and complete training using Computer Based Training (CBT).
+ Good documentation skills.
+ Written communication skills in English and Spanish.
+ Generate and support investigation or root-cause analysis efforts to help resolve process issues and improve performance.
+ Initiate deviation records as appropriate and own minor deviations as needed.
+ May perform revisions on routine SOPs, Forms, APPX, etc.
+ Generate workorders as needed.
+ Notifies FLM of any discrepancies to ensure quality standards and safety of operations are always maintained.

**Responsibilities:**
+ Rewrite Process Instructions for new Asset Management system, working with digital equipment documentation to be migrated into the Maximo EAM using current equipment binders.
+ Create Process instructions for newly created processes in Maximo EAM system
+ Initiate and manage change requests and change orders to validate new and repaired equipment
+ Serve as the main focal point for the component system, including data collection, data validation, meeting coordination, rollout execution, and progress updates
+ Perform risk assessments, investigate nonconformance issues, gap analysis, and develop corrective actions
+ Ensure all written materials align with company, quality, and FDA guidelines across all manufacturing components
**Experience Requirements:**
+ Ability to manage competing priorities
+ Overall understanding of process instructions
+ Life Science Experience
+ Software Skills Required: MS Platform Suite, Oracle, Coupa
+ Functional knowledge of Engineering/Maintenance
