Key Responsibilities:


  • In depth understanding of techniques and processes being executed on routine basis.
  • Responsible for all aspects of media, buffer and solution formulation including equipment preparation (CIP and SIP), appropriate use of raw materials and components (FIFO), weighing and dispensing of raw materials and intermediate solutions, material sampling for applicable analytical testing, filter integrity testing, etc.
  • Responsible for the operation and maintenance of ancillary equipment such as pH / conductivity meters, osmometer, tube welder, tube sealer, peristaltic pumps, etc.
  • Interacts with other departmental personnel to assist in resolving manufacturing quality issues.
  • Technician should have the ability to manage and analyze manufacturing data.
  • Ensure good documentation practices (GDP) in execution and reviews of production records.
  • Responsible for all required cGMP training including additional training assigned by their manager.
  • Participates in the cleaning of the cGMP facility in accordance with sanitary maintenance SOP.
  • Follows established SOPs for the flow of materials, personnel, and equipment in and out of the cGMP facility.
  • Work a flexible work schedule, weekends and holidays as required, and as needed by department.
  • Work with Compliance regarding notification of deviations and CAPAs as they occur and provides information during investigations.
  • Other duties as they are required.

Senior Manufacturing Technician - Allendale, NJ

Position Summary/ Objectives

The Senior Manufacturing Technician will be responsible for the manufacturing of quality medical devices and research products that are safe and effective. This position will also maintain process controls and lead their own team of employees. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of Science and the manufacturing process and can support the strategic and operational objectives of the business. The successful candidate will possess a high degree of professionalism, maturity and confidentiality.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Manufactures products in accordance processing batch records using manual and semi-automated equipment
  • Utilizes measuring instruments such as pH meters, temperature and humidity probes
  • Maintains and calibrates equipment as needed.
  • Keep work area cleaned and well organized.
  • Inspect work area upon arrival and departure for proper safety and eGMP housekeeping.
  • Accurately completes batch records and associated documentation
  • Troubleshoots equipment and process problems
  • Prepares production schedules and maintains product inventories
  • Supports process development, validation and design transfer activities
  • Performs process trending and data analysis and prepares technical reports and investigations
  • Capable of supervising a small team of manufacturing technicians
  • Verify processing data and conduct processing checks
  • Initiate, recommend and provide solutions through designated channels.

Education, Experience and Certification:

  • Bachelor's degree in a science related field
  • Detail oriented and self-motivated
  • Solid written, verbal communication and collaborative skills
  • Efficient, organized and strong ability to work independently
  • Ability to adhere to SOPs
  • Previous medical device, pharmaceutical or clean room experience is a plus, but not required

Job Description

We are seeking a Manufacturing Technician to oversee production teams and ensure efficient manufacturing processes. This role involves supervising teams, adhering to batch records, extracting collagen from raw materials, and shaping it into various forms. The technician will also be responsible for routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment, as well as ensuring the cleanliness of clean rooms and manufacturing areas.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise production teams to ensure efficient operations.

  • Follow batch records to maintain product consistency and quality.

  • Extract collagen from raw materials and shape it as required.

  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of manufacturing equipment.

  • Sanitize clean rooms and manufacturing areas to maintain cleanliness standards.

  • Set up, operate, and calibrate production equipment as needed.

  • Fill and package medical devices according to specifications.

  • Maintain an adequate inventory of manufacturing supplies and requisition additional materials when necessary.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing and production.

  • Proficiency in material handling and management skills.

  • Experience in a GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) environment.

  • Ability to read and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with packaging, document control, labeling, and inspection.

  • Familiarity with cleanroom operations.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Capability to follow written and oral instructions accurately.

Work Environment

This position operates in a clean room environment with a typical work schedule from 7am to 3:30pm. The role may require physical activities such as standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds. The work locations include sites in Allendale and Oakland.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Allendale, New Jersey.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
