As a Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic/Technician at MAPEI, you'll be an essential part of our commitment to operational excellence and safety. Our Maintenance Team ensures equipment reliability through routine maintenance and brings expertise in troubleshooting and resolving complex machinery issues. You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vital production equipment, including industrial blenders, mixers, packaging systems (both automated and manual), robotic machinery, pumps, valves, and pressure vessels. Your skills will be key in upholding MAPEI's high manufacturing standards and supporting a seamless production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with supervisors and management to perform repairs and preventive maintenance, minimizing equipment downtime.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and control systems, including machinery, instruments, power systems, and piping.
- Complete thorough repairs and proactively initiate work orders based on preventive maintenance (PM) or predictive maintenance (PdM) findings.
- Maximize equipment reliability by efficiently executing work orders and PM tasks.
- Accurately document activities, resources, and completion codes.
- Analyze reports to recommend improvements for asset operability, reliability, and safety.
- Request necessary repair parts as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Conduct maintenance in compliance with OSHA, Process Safety Management (PSM) guidelines, and environmental regulations.
- Track and meet maintenance KPIs to achieve performance goals.
- Perform diverse technical tasks, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repairs.
- Continuously develop skills through self-improvement initiatives.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace, adhering to all safety and quality standards
- Adhere to safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
- Perform additional duties as required
- Base hourly payrate up to $30.00 p/hr, based on experience.
- Additional premium shift differential: $.00 p/hr for 2nd shift and 2.00 p/hr for 3rd shift, if applicable.

+ Audit equipment lockout and tag out procedures prior to and during routine/non-routine maintenance to ensure zero energy and safety compliance.
+ Develop overall area systems knowledge.
+ Perform other duties as assigned by department manager.

Essential Duties:

+ Actively participate in P.R.I.D.E. process either through involvement in a P.R.I.D.E. subcommittee or through creating employee P.R.I.D.E. awareness or both.
+ If off-quality is detected in carpet, troubleshoot root cause and correct if possible.
+ Assess defect exposure. Make sure defect has not spanned over several previous rolls.
+ When notified of Nonconforming material, ensure correct disposition into proper location .
+ Cover "Plant 7G Standard Work & Crew Assignment Sheet" with oncoming Supervisor prior to end of shift.
Education and Experience Requirements:
+ High School Diploma / GED
+ Prior leadership experience within the last 3 years
+ Previous manufacturing experience/Tufting
+ Strong communication , interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills
+ Proficient with basic computer software such as Google, Microsoft, Smartsheets , GLink , YSF, etc.

**Responsibilities**
Beginning as an Extrusion Operator Trainee, you will learn the basics and start in our Converting operation making mushroom film. There you will begin to understand the production systems we use, learn about film quality and food quality, resins, customer specifications, packaging, and many more critical items on your way to becoming a successful Operator. Items include:
+ Reviews production orders and stages all raw materials.
+ Removes finished good from production area and prepares/packages and palletizes film rolls according to order specification.
+ Completes/inspects/labels finished goods, WIP, and scrap requirements as specified.
+ Completes inventory processing to account for finished goods, WIP, raw materials, packaging supplies and scrap materials.
+ Enters work order data/move tickets into production system via scan, data entry, or similar means.
+ Ensures finished goods packaging is free of defects and meets shipping requirements.
+ Operate robotic film line as needed and fill in for breaks.
+ This is a multi-task position job where you will learn several activities.
