Position Summary
The Manufacturing CNC Programmer primary responsibility is modelling and post processing of Manufacturing Projects requiring advanced High Speed CNC Machining G-Coding utilizing SolidWorks and Mastercam. Interface with Project Managers, Supervisors, Craftsmen, NDT inspectors, Quality Assurance and other departments and organizations as required to support assigned projects. Interface will involve obtaining and providing information on matters of importance to the assigned Project Manager (s) and Asst Program Manager (s).
Duties And Responsibilities
The Manufacturing CNC Programmer reports directly to the Manufacturing Production Manager for the performance of his/her responsibilities, or in the absence of the Production Manager, an individual designated by the Production Manager. These responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Follow direction provided by the Manufacturing Production Manager.
Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to, and enforcing, all safety procedures and policies inside and outside the facility, including use of personal protective and other equipment as required.
Represent OII-MSD in a positive manner both internally and externally while adhering to the organization's core values.
Communicate effectively with co-workers, management, customers, and others in a courteous and professional manner.
Coordinate the life cycle of the project, serving as the liaison between external and internal customers.
Enter all relevant data into the system, establish tasks, distribute preliminary information and create and manage project folders according to company standards.
Ensuring projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project

Upload and operator ready G-Code program solutions for safe CNC Turning and Machining Center production operations.
Develop advanced manufacturing production processes for high speed CNC Turning and Machining Center applications.
Design and generate program code and manufacturing processes for required project item specific fixturing and tooling.
Develop step-by-step operator friendly set-up process and production routing.
Establish required purchased material and tooling for CAM supported projects.
Qualifications
High School/GED and additional vocational courses.
Minimum of five years of CNC machining process development experience.
Minimum of five years CAM Systems post editing process programming experience, specifically SolidWorks & Mastercam.
Computer literacy including MS Office applications.
Must be able to read blueprints and have strong knowledge of applied math
Experience with close tolerance high speed machining.
Conventional machining experience desired
Ability to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Ability to successfully reach company goals in an environment in which a wide degree of creativity and latitude is required.
