We are Monarca Authentic Snacks! We are hiring a Bagger Operator at our Kingsport, TN facility.
Job Overview:
The Bagger Operator plays a key role in the efficient operation of the manufacturing process. Responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining the bagging machines that package snack products for distribution. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety and quality standards, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues to ensure a smooth, continuous production flow.
Key Responsibilities:
Machine Operation:
- Operate and monitor automated bagging machines to package snack products in the required quantities and packaging formats.
- Set up, adjust, and calibrate the bagging machines according to product specifications and production needs.
- Ensure proper alignment of bags, sealing, and labeling as per quality standards.
Quality Control:
- Inspect the bags and finished products for quality, ensuring they meet company standards for weight, appearance, and sealing.
- Reject any bags that do not meet quality standards and report issues to the Quality Control team.
- Maintain accurate records of quality checks and machine performance.
Machine Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on bagging machines to prevent downtime.
- Troubleshoot machine malfunctions, including jams and sealing issues, and work to resolve them efficiently.
- Collaborate with maintenance technicians for more complex repairs or adjustments.
Safety & Compliance:
- Follow all plant safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Ensure proper handling and disposal of packaging materials and waste.
- Comply with food safety regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Production Efficiency:
- Monitor production rates and ensure that the bagging process runs smoothly to meet production goals.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote efficiency and safety.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to address production issues.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Complete and maintain accurate production logs, including machine settings, downtime, and any issues encountered.
- Report production data to supervisors and participate in shift handovers.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or training in manufacturing machinery is a plus.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in food production or packaging.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and experience with bagging machines or similar packaging equipment.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, GMP, and safety protocols in a manufacturing setting.
- Ability to perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance on equipment.
- Strong attention to detail, with an emphasis on product quality and efficiency.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Willingness to work on shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays if necessary.

BWXT Ordnance Tennessee (NOGJ) has an immediate need for a Quality Technician 2 in Jonesborough Tennessee. The Quality Technician 2 position performs inspection of in-process and finished products, performs a variety of testing techniques, completes and reviews inspection documents, and accepts or rejects material based on customer specifications and guidelines while maintaining traceability and acceptable quality standards. The Quality Technician 2 will work within the Quality Assurance Department and will report directly to the Sr. Manager of Quality Assurance. This position requires the ability to work any shift as dictated by production requirements (1st, 2nd or 3rd), the ability to work overtime, weekends and shifts of 10 to 12 hours per day.

**Your Day to Day as a Quality Technician 2 for NOGJ:**
+ Create and maintain accurate records including records of inspection.
+ Prepare simple to complex reports.
+ Read and interpret complex drawings.
+ Effectively present information to customers, client departments and other employees within the organization.
+ Read, interpret and understand written or verbal requirements, procedures and specifications to perform assigned tasks.

**Required Qualifications:**
Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or an Associate's degree with 2 years of related experience. Selected candidate may be required to complete training and certifications in two or more non-destructive testing (NDT) methods.
+ Demonstrated knowledge of all standard measuring and gaging equipment, quality standards and techniques; applicable laws, codes, ordinances, and regulations, non-destructive and destruction testing techniques and principles; gaging methods and sampling plans
+ Ability to read and interpret simple to complex blueprints and engineering Drawings
+ Ability to perform visual setup and dimensional inspection of complex parts and assemblies
+ Intermediate math skills. Numbers, their operation and inter-relationships, including arithmetic, algebra, geometry, statistics, trigonometry, and their applications
+ Calibration and Metrology principles
+ Techniques, tools and instruments involved in the use of precision technical plans, inspection plans, blueprints, drawings and/or models
+ Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Outlook
+ Familiarity with Statistical Process Control methods
+ Requires the ability to interface with all levels of personnel and work in a team environment
+ Must be able to wear and use personal protective equipment including but not limited to safety shoes, eyeglasses, coveralls, ear plugs and various monitoring equipment
