Position Summary:
The Engineering Technician supports engineering teams by performing technical tasks related to the design, development, testing, implementation, and improvement of engineering systems, products, and processes. - Coordinate with production and planning teams to optimize inventory, logistics, and scheduling.
Product:
- Support product development activities including prototyping, testing, and validation.
- Assist in performing functional, durability, and environmental testing on components.
- Document product performance data and assist in root cause analysis for failures.
- Work closely with design engineers to refine CAD models and prepare drawings for release.
- Support Engineering Change Requests (ECRs), Bill of Materials (BOM) updates, and part qualifications.

Job Qualifications:
Education: Associate degree or technical diploma in engineering technology, manufacturing technology, or another related field is preferred.

Key responsibilities include:
- Analyzing existing manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, quality, and cost reduction.
- Designing, developing, and implementing new manufacturing processes and technologies.
- Optimizing production workflows, material handling, and equipment utilization.
- Developing and implementing Lean Manufacturing initiatives, such as Kaizen events, 5S, and value stream mapping.
- Utilizing Statistical Process Control (SPC) to monitor and improve process capability.
- Troubleshooting production issues and implementing corrective actions.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, quality, and maintenance.
- Creating and maintaining process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions.
- Participating in new product introduction (NPI) processes to ensure manufacturability.
- Evaluating and recommending new equipment and technologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing process engineering.
- Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and tools.
- Strong knowledge of process analysis, optimization techniques, and statistical methods.
- Proficiency in CAD software and simulation tools is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
- Experience with ERP/MES systems is beneficial.
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification is highly desirable.
