JOB SUMMARY:
This job entails the manufacturing of portable court panels and weightlifting platforms. This includes Building subfloor, nailing panels, screening, and painting graphics, and cutting floor panels to size, among other responsibilities. This is a local position and the work is performed onsite at Praters, Inc. Rossville, GA location.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Must be able to work without constant or direct supervision.
- Lifting, bending, and carrying equipment and materials such as bundles of wood and pails of finish or other heavy objects with weights sometimes exceeding 100 lbs.
- Have the experience or the ability to learn to operate and perform minor job site maintenance on construction equipment or tools such as saws, drills, floor sanders, buffers, nail guns, etc.
- Follow the correct procedures for a quality job, perform it safely, and maintain job site cleanliness as specified in the employee manual or by Management.
- The ability to read a tape measure, make the proper calculations for woodcuts, etc.
- Ability to deliver panels and manufactured portable courts between Praters, Inc. locations
- Willing to work overtime and some weekends.
- Will at all times conduct him or herself as a representative of Praters, Inc. and support Praters, Inc.'s missions and goals.
- Follows all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
SKILLS NEEDED:
- Ability to read a tape measure/ruler competently
- Prior Manufacturing/production experience
- Basic carpentry or construction experience
- Ability to stand and bend for long periods and the ability to lift 100+ pounds periodically (team lifting)
- Able to effectively and efficiently organize, and work well on a team but also have the independence to work individually
- Have a good work ethicand be able to produce high-quality work
- Valid driver's license - Required (to operate company vehicles)
- Must be 21 years old or older (age requirement to operate company vehicles)

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead the process engineering team by assigning, managing and providing resources for their team members to achieve plant metrics.
- Utilize the strength of their engineering team to achieve high product quality, customer experience and operational efficiency.
- Identify and implement corrective actions for customer complaints and internal product build failures.
- Lead the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) process, utilizing their process engineering team, but including all key stakeholders. Help the plant achieve their waste reduction and rate goals.
- Responsible for proactively representing Engineering in product/process deviations.
- Drive and implement key initiatives (Lean, Visual Factory, problem solving, etc.).
- Champion the pre-trial planning process to ensure the safe and reliable execution of new product samples and scale-ups.
- Work cross-functionally and across facilities to support learning and continuous improvement of the organization.
- Lead future plant growth and continuous improvement projects.
- Lead commissioning/validation of new equipment and processes.
- Develop and manage the Engineering activities through a department level business plan.

Supply Chain co-ops have the unique opportunity to participate on committees at Appliance Park that focus on recycling, volunteerism, & social events. Our co-ops will also have the opportunity to network with leaders in the business and attend various professional development sessions.
Co-ops at this location will be supporting ovens/ranges. Assignments are in a variety of disciplines such as shop operations, process engineering, advanced manufacturing engineering, global supply chain management, quality, sourcing, materials management, and manufacturing management. **How You'll Create Possibilities**
The Fall 2026 Co-op runs from August 17, 2026 - December 11, 2026, and is based in Lafayette, GA. Housing and relocation assistance is available for eligible students.
**Essential Duties & Responsibilities**
+ Set goals & objectives for your co-op rotation with your assignment leader
+ Lead teams across multiple levels of the business through influencing
+ Use initiative to find and develop process improvements
+ Assist your team with development and execution of project ideas
+ Develop and demonstrate analytical approach to problem solving
+ Demonstrate the ability to work independently
+ Set regular feedback sessions with your assignment leader
+ Travel required: 0% - 10% (depending on role)
+ Hours & Weekends: Some overtime & Saturdays may be required depending on role
+ Start and end times vary depending on department and role you areassigned. All roles are on 1st (day shift may begin anytime between 5:30 AM - 8:00 AM).

**Required Qualifications**
+ Currently enrolled in an accredited university pursuing a bachelor's degree or better in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Science or Chemical Engineering (or related degrees) or Supply Chain Management (or related degrees)
+ May 2027 or later graduation date
+ Cumulative GPA >=3.0 (out of 4.0)
+ Must be willing to explore all sides of Supply Chain (i.e., Manufacturing, Sourcing, Supplier Quality/ Quality, Materials, Total Productive Maintenance, Lean, Distribution, Fulfillment, Consumer Operations, Advanced Manufacturing)

**Responsibilities:**
+ Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the manufacturing and industrial facility and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and report any irregularities.
