The Manufacturing Engineer will coordinate manufacturing processes by developing, evaluating and improving manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards.
**YOUR IMPACT**

+ Under close supervision, perform basic engineering calculations, investigations, and tasks as assigned according to Oshkosh Corporation's engineering standards and processes.
+ Support more senior engineers in the preparation of plants, designs, computation methods, and reporting.
+ Responsible for a project or part of a project of limited complexity; may be responsible for managing multiple projects.
+ Provide technical assistance for prototype, pilot, or production build.
+ Analyze space requirements, workflow and designs layout for equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
+ Review and process engineering information through change notices, change proposals, continuous improvement requests etc.
+ Participate in cost studies, project time estimation, and technical proposals.
+ Review legislative and regulatory proposals or actions to determine impact on projects.
+ Review and recommend fixture and tooling design.
**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**
+ Bachelor's degree in Operations, Engineering or related field.
+ One (1) - two (2) or more years of experience.
**STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS**
+ Knowledge of equipment manufacturing industry or automobile industry.
+ Experience with Lean and/or Six Sigma tools.
+ Experience in Microsoft Office Suite; including a strong emphasis on Excel.
+ Analytical and problem-solving skills.

+ This role combines office-based administrative duties with physical activity in field or production environments.

**Pay Range:**
$72,200.00 - $116,200.00
The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. - Position Summary:
This position is crucial for maintaining smooth manufacturing processes and ensuring product quality. A Repair Technician is a subject matter expert (SME) on product functionality and standard operating procedures. With this knowledge a technician will contribute to identifying and resolving product mechanical or performance issues by following all SOP's and quality guidelines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Identifying and resolve issues with machinery and production processes.
- Work cross functionally with all departments to inspect, correct, and verify functioning capabilities.
- Requires successful completion of training on assembly, wiring, software programming, and packaging of products.
- Assist in the development training program that will be used to train staff in troubleshooting and operational procedures.
- Involvement with rework and quality projects requiring strong attention to detail, following all SOPs and safety guidelines.
- Cross trained in the areas of production, quality, and engineering to bring a holistic approach to resolving manufacturing challenges with products.
- Lead batch reworks and troubleshooting issues to meet delivery demands.
- Maintain records, manual and digital, of production processes and material used to ensure compliance with company policies and accurate inventory.
- Apply lean manufacturing methods by providing systematic waste reduction ideas for improvements.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Stand and/or walk up to eight (8) hours per day.
- Frequently lift and push/pull up to 35 pounds - occasionally above shoulders. Occasionally lift and push/pull up to 75 pounds - using Team Lift as needed.
- Use of hand tools, power tools, high potential tester, lift devices, drive forklift, and assembly fixtures.
- Read and interpret documents, legibly fill out inspection forms.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with employees, supervisors, and management.
- Support policies, procedures and initiatives in support of business objectives.
- Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and efficient work area.
- 3+ years of manufacturing or rework experience. Experience in the outdoor power equipment is a plus.
- High school diploma or GED equivalency.
- Knowledge of quality assurance processes.
- Ability to quickly identify deviations from the norm.
- Strong attention to detail, familiarity with the details of each step in the manufacturing process.
- Must be able troubleshoot electro-mechanical assemblies.
- Mechanical aptitude to interpret written instructions then applying knowledge for quickest resolution.
- Cross trained in all work areas within production to ensure accuracy and quality of final product.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, excel, SAP, and other inventory tracking programs.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Confidence in addressing problems and taking appropriate action.

Assist the Manufacturing Engineering department in successfully achieving manufacturing goals and contribute to continuous improvement efforts. The ME Intern be encouraged to contribute ideas and suggestions.
