Are you looking to use your expert manufacturing operations leadership skills in an industry that supports and protects explorers and heroes? We could use your expertise on our team at our new Dayton Facility! You will be walking into a 15000 Sq/ft blank canvas with a healthy budget for new equipment and programming/code reading software. As an Operations Manager I, you'll drive the strategic goals to include overseeing and managing our manufacturing operations. You'll improve technologies, and resolve problems in conjunction with manufacturing, quality assurance, and engineering. Your duties will also include translating customer requirements into state-of-the-art manufacturing strategies and processes, resulting in cost-effective processing and profitable manufacturing of company products, developing operations-related plans, budgets, policies, and procedure, and ensuring the operations environment is safe and in compliance with all regulations in regard to the production facility.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Establish and develop a new manufacturing department from the ground up, working within a defined budget.
+ Draft, implement, and revise policies and procedures to facilitate the successful launch and operation of the manufacturing department.
+ Evaluate and procure appropriate manufacturing equipment, tooling, and software tailored to meet the specific requirements of the aviation industry.
+ Recruit, interview, and hire a skilled and cohesive team to support the operations and growth of the new manufacturing department.
**Qualifications You Must Have:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or related field of study
+ Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education
+ 6+ years of progressive operations management experience, which includes 0-2+ years of management experience.
+ Basic understanding of and experience with the practical application of production/manufacturing principles, techniques and best practices
+ Ability to understand and interpret technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals and/or publications
+ Experience with materials management systems
+ Previous supervisory experience; the ability to recruit employees, assign, direct, and evaluate their work and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence
+ **The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required**

As a Quality Control Inspector, you are responsible for ensuring that are products are the best that they can be for our customers. You will perform product inspections of medical devices and components. You will report non-conformances and control non-conforming product until a disposition is authorized. Working closely with Shipping, Receiving and Production Teams to ensure product integrity will be essential to your success. The primary product lines you’ll oversee include our sturdy medical devices, ranging from canes to wheelchairs, in-home hospital bends and everything in between. Schedule: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM (Monday - Friday) - On-site

Main Activities:

  • Inspecting incoming products from both international and domestic suppliers using established methods and tools.
  • Verifying the output of work orders and rework (quality control) work orders meet quality requirements.
  • Entering and maintenance of data into spreadsheets.
  • Completion of documentation as required by the company’s Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Assist in creating work guidelines for rework (quality control) work orders with Production Manager.
  • Utilizing SAP to capture information about inventory and inventory status, and product movements.
  • Maintaining QC areas and equipment.
  • Check for proper safety measures while working.
  • Performing other Quality Control related duties as may be required
  • Develop an attitude and an environment of continuous improvement

Your Education and Experience:

  • H. S. Diploma or equivalent

  • Ability to use common measurement tools (calipers, micrometer, plug gauges, thread gauges, tape measure) to accurately perform inspections.
  • Basic knowledge of FDA QSR, cGMP or ISO Standards.
  • Understanding of digital photography with the ability to incorporate images into MS Word or MS Excel documents.
  • Knowledge of mechanical manufacturing processes such as welding, punching, injection and blow molding, painting and assembly.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a quality control inspector performing incoming or receiving inspection, preferably in a regulated medical device environment.

Preferred but not Required:

  • Knowledge of durable medical equipment.
  • Excellent mechanical abilities.
  • Experience in dealing with imported mechanical products.
  • Two-year degree in a technical discipline such as engineering or quality management.
  • Four-year degree of any type is preferred.
  • CQE (ASQ Certified Quality Engineer), CQT (ASQ Certified Quality Technician or CQA (ASQ Certified Quality Auditor).

Your Physical Demands/Work Environment:

Position Summary
Our Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for advanced line support to maintain production performance, site capital project management, supporting engineering in major initiatives and new product development, and leading reliability & maintenance strategy and education for the plant.
