We prefer 1 year manufacturing and production experience and must have excellent attention to detail, be flexible, have a good attendance and safety record, but if you a willingness to learn and interested in advancement we are willing to train!
JOB SUMMARY : Perform repetitive work to inspect, buff, repair, build, heat, seal tires through operating machines to re-build tires from rubber components.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Inspect worn tires for faults, cracks, cuts and nail holes, and to determine if tires are suitable for retreading.
- Operates a buffing machine to remove treads from tires to be retreaded, following specifications for depth and width removal.
- Measures diameter and cross section to determine correct tread width.
- Build semi-raw rubber treads onto buffed tire casings in order to prepare tires for vulcanization in recapping and retreading processes.
- Places tire in chamber and programs correct curing temperature according to specification.
- Inspects tires to determine defects in curing, (soft cures, ply separation, repairs missed, etc.).
- Trims and paints finished retread.
- Repairs tires found defective during the process.
- Makes final inspection of repair, cuts tread design with re-grooving iron, paints tire and places in finished stock.
OTHER DUTIES
- Maintains a stock of tread rubber and repair materials, advising manager when replenishment is necessary.
- Ability and flexibility to perform other duties as assigned by Manager

**_Job Description_**
The primary purpose of this position is to set-up, maintain, operate, test and inspect product, and perform repairs on associated departmental equipment in conformance to FDA, GMP's, ISO 13485 standards and finished product specifications. Minimize scrap generation from processes and promote workplace safety. Provide process information to management so production equipment may be optimized and/or process corrected. Assist with training of personnel to perform various functions within each assigned area. Facilitate work flow and ensure product quality is maintained.
**_Shift Details_**
+ 7:00 am to 3:30 pm - Monday through Friday
**_Responsibilities_**
+ Perform scheduled preventive maintenance as assigned by supervisor according to the Preventive Maintenance schedule.
+ Adhere to plant policies/procedures, department EHS rules, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's), ISO 13485 regulations and Good Housekeeping procedures. Shall operate in a manner that protects the health and safety of its employees/visitors and operate in a manner that conserves energy, natural resources and protects the environment.
+ Complete all pertinent paperwork pertaining to the finished product being produced according to established guidelines in the manufacturing procedures.
+ Prepare and maintain required maintenance equipment records. Use of micrometers, dial calipers, and other precision measuring instruments to perform dimensional and physical inspections. Interpret engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and confer with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards.
+ Uses ANSI/ASQ Z1.4 sampling standard, part drawings, and specifications to determine inspection and testing required as well as acceptable quality levels.
+ Selects products for inspection evaluation at specified stages in production process, performs various visual, dimensional, performance, mechanical, electrical, or chemical inspections per required characteristics.
+ Report any unusual circumstances to supervisor and perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
+ Basic computer skills with windows based programs.
+ Responsible for the observation of department regulations and to use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required; must be safety conscious and Lockout/Tag-out trained.
+ Transport hazardous waste to accumulation areas. Complete Annual Hazardous Waste (RCRA) refresher training.
+ Cross-train and support where needed throughout the facility.
**_Qualifications_**
+ High School Diploma or GED preferred. One year certificate from college or technical school (machinist, engineering technology); or equivalent combination of training and experience.
+ 3-4 years medical device manufacturing related experience or equivalent combination of training and experience preferred.

+ Applies basic skills and techniques to complete routine tasks within assigned area
+ Maintains appropriate licenses/training/certifications
+ Works on basic and routine assignments

The Manufacturing Associate - 1st Shift is responsible for efficiently performing all tasks related to the Consumables Department safely. Pall is ready to offer a great position with a leadership opportunity.
This position reports to the Value Stream Leader (VSL) - Consumables and is part of the Consumables department located in DeLand, FL and will be an on-site role.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
+ Setup and operate all equipment in a related area to produce complicated components, subassemblies, and final assemblies from blueprints and work instructions.
+ Work under the direction of supervisors, or more experienced personnel, with little supervision
+ Maintain accurate records, and logs and collect any necessary data for use by Engineering.
