Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management & Reporting:

• Assist with month-end closing activities , including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.

Budgeting & Forecasting:

Accounts Payable & Receivable:

• Work closely with suppliers, customers, and internal teams to resolve invoicing and payment discrepancies .

Inventory & Cost Control:

• Support inventory management and cost accounting , ensuring accurate financial reporting.
• Conduct cost analysis for products and manufacturing processes to improve financial efficiency.
• Assist in the review and reconciliation of cycle counts and inventory adjustments .

Compliance & Internal Controls:

• Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal financial policies .
• Assist in internal audits and external financial audits , providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Maintain proper internal controls to mitigate financial risks and enhance operational efficiency.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Work closely with operations, purchasing, and leadership teams to improve financial processes.
• Provide ad hoc financial analysis and support for key business initiatives.
• Assist in special projects, including process improvements and system enhancements .

Requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field .
• 2+ years of accounting experience , preferably in a manufacturing environment .
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements .
• Proficiency in QuickBooks is highly preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills , including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and financial modeling .
• Ability to analyze financial data and translate it into actionable insights.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills .
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet deadlines .
• Experience with job costing, sales tax, and business insurance is a plus.

Buying Specialist / Manufacturing Location: Irwin, PA Contract to Hire Pay Rate $19 - $20 / per hour Our capital equipment manufacturer is seeking a Buying Specialist who would be responsible for preparing and issuing basic purchase requisition / purchase order documentation to support day to day operations of the company. The candidate would be responsible for on-time delivery and quality goods and services from suppliers while supporting /driving on-going cost reduction activities as applicable.
