+ Develop, update, and maintain Bill of Materials, product routings, and cost structure information in the ERP system.
+ Monitor and debug production and test methods/procedures to ensure system efficiency.
+ Collaborate with other manufacturing departments to resolve operational issues.
+ Assist in developing new engineering team members on essential tasks and tools.
+ Serve as subject matter expert for specific products or processes when applicable.
+ Perform time studies to establish new production rates.

**Background and Skills**
- Bachelor's degree in engineering required, preferably Industrial, Mechanical or Electro-mechanical Engineering, or a comparable combination of training and experience.
- At least two (2) years of specifically related experience required.
- Knowledge and experience with lean tools and principles would be beneficial.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

**Purpose of Position**
The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and reviewing the procedures and equipment involved in the manufacturing process. **Key Responsibilities**

+ Exposure to Lean concepts.
+ Experience in welding, machining, or fabrication.
+ Experience with 2D & 3D CAD software.
+ Exposure to Lean and 5S concepts.

**JOB SUMMARY:**
Assist the Manufacturing Engineering department in successfully achieving manufacturing goals and contribute to continuous improvement efforts. The ME Intern be encouraged to contribute ideas and suggestions.
**YOUR IMPACT:**

+ Audit and update work instructions, routings and bills of materials.
+ Improve material handling methods.
+ Perform time studies.
+ Develop methods in fabrication and machining processes.
+ Perform workstation/cell analyses to improve productivity and quality.
+ Provide technical support to the production personnel.
+ Provide input for manufacturing fixtures and tooling.
+ Assist with plant layout and workstation design.
+ Learn and use ERP manufacturing software.
+ Create documentation for new product launches.
+ Design 3D models and new fixturing solutions to support engineering projects
**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:**
+ Student working towards a Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical or other related Engineering field.
+ Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
**STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS:**
+ Working knowledge or exposure to JD Edwards.
+ Exposure to Lean concepts.
+ Experience in welding, machining, or fabrication.
+ Experience with 2D & 3D CAD software.
+ Exposure to Lean and 5S concepts.
+ Experience with Microsoft Office; Excel specifically

**Pay Range:**
$18.00 - $37.00
