**THE WORK**
- The selected candidate performs the Make, Buy and / or Bill of Material (BOM) planning activities associated with Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) transactions.
- Performs one or more multiple manufacturing activities within various manufacturing functions. Maintains production systems integrity to drive inventory optimization to minimize cost.
- Expedites and optimizes material flow through the supply chain to meet customer requirements. Coordinates with manufacturing and Operations Management to provide shop floor control on make parts, analyzes and controls production schedule and capacity requirements, executes the plan, provides timely status and expedites or works around plans to preserve schedule.
- Coordinates with Supply Chain Stakeholders including Procurement and Operations Management to determine appropriate time phased plan for procured parts and executes processes to ensure deliverables meet production schedule requirements.
- Maintains MRP parameters including lead times and lot sizes and coordinates with Engineering and Change Board Rep to make the associated changes to the BOM.

Job Summary:
The Manufacturing Engineer position is quite varied regarding the scope of work performed. This position is responsible for creating and enhancing processes and systems by leveraging new technologies and automation. This position will research automation techniques, test new systems for efficiency and assist in the planning of factory layouts to optimize production.
Requirements:Essential Functions of Position:
- Work with design engineers to improve product design for ease of manufacturing and assembly.
- Analyze production processes, schedules, methods and other data and then provide management with reports containing the data and statistics to enable management to better understand future requirements needed to improve/ optimize the manufacturing process.
- Analyze and plan workflow, equipment placement and space requirements to improve manufacturing efficiency
- Analyze production data for improvement
- Coordinate equipment, maintenance and repairs to ensure manufacturers procedures and instructions are followed in order to keep production equipment operational.
- Maintain manufacturing process documentation (SOP’s), including technical reports and process specifications
- Ensure quality is maintained
- Collaborate with other engineering resources to ensure efficient production
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of manufacturing equipment and processes, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a keen eye for detail.
- Associates degree in relevant field with related work experience.
- Knowledge of how mechanical systems and processes work.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills
- Excellence in verbal and written communication and ability to work as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's in mechanical or industrial engineering
- 3-5 years in a manufacturing environment completing Engineering design work.
Physical Requirements:
- Required to sit, stand, and walk; for up to 8 hours per day.
- Ability to work in a high volume and high stress environment.
- Continuous use of the hand, arm, and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, telephone, and other office equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to communicate professionally, in written and oral communications.

Position Summary
The primary role of the Associate Manufacturing Engineer is to provide advanced documentation, equipment, investigative, and process support to the manufacturing organization. The Associate Manufacturing Engineer will be the Technical Manufacturing representative on various projects and cross functional teams, will provide training, participate and/or lead in the implementation of new equipment and processes, author Change Controld, BOM, and SOP/MBR changes.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Authoring of equipment and facility change controls, MBR revisions, and CAPA Action Plans.
- Process and equipment support and troubleshooting.
- Author, revise and approve critical Manufacturing documentation, i.e. MBRs, BOM, and SOPs.
- Project validation support and execution.
- Seek out process inefficiencies and implement solutions.
- Development and execution of training materials for new processes and equipment in conjunction with the site technical training team.
- Support of MFG shift operations, Tech Transfers, Process Improvements, and other teams as required.
- Lead manufacturing process improvement projects and interact with cross-functional groups to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
- Adhere to all plant safety policies and procedures and proactively identify unsafe conditions.
Education & Experience
- Knowledge of science generally attained through studies resulting in a B.S. in science, engineering, biochemistry or related discipline, or its equivalent is highly desired.
- Direct biologic manufacturing experience of 3+ years.
- Extensive knowledge of SOPs and GMPs and the know-how to work within a regulated environment.
- Strong knowledge of biopharmaceutical manufacturing processes.
- Adaptable to a fast paced, complex and ever-changing business environment.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with technical writing skills.
- Proficiency in the use of computers and business software applications.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- The position requires a strong understanding of cGMP and regulatory agency requirements and strong technical operational knowledge of the upstream and/or downstream operational unit.
- Incumbents must have demonstrated experience in solving complex technical issues in Biologics manufacturing, and have the skills and understanding to troubleshoot process equipment and the overall manufacturing process.
- The role requires demonstration of successful participation on diverse work teams where combined contribution, collaboration and results were expected.
- The position requires excellent written and verbal skills and the ability to provide direction and communicate expectations to the operating staff.
- The candidate will have strong computer skills and be proficient in the following programs: Word, Excel, Visio, and Project.
- The position requires the ability to work off-hours as needed to complete projects or key tasks requiring SME oversite.
Physical Demands
