**WHAT YOU WILL DO**
+ Provide necessary support within the factory and department to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals.
+ Troubleshoot manufacturing problems and implement timely, sustainable solutions to maintain production flow.
+ Participate in new product development projects, collaborating with other departments to ensure design for safety, quality, manufacturability, and cost.
+ Collaborate with departments during process development to ensure safety, quality, manufacturability, and cost objectives are met.
+ Design, implement, and maintain manufacturing processes within schedule and budget.
+ Prepare design drawings, cost estimates, financial justifications, and implementation schedules for production equipment and tooling.
+ Review and recommend changes to mechanical drawings and process documentation.
+ Evaluate changes made by Design Engineers before final signoff and recommend necessary adjustments.
+ Interface with vendors and sales personnel to evaluate, cost estimate, and select purchased parts and production equipment.
+ Lead and participate in Improvement Workshops (Kaizens).
+ Develop, update, and maintain Bill of Materials, product routings, and cost structure information in the ERP system.
+ Monitor and debug production and test methods/procedures to ensure system efficiency.
+ Collaborate with other manufacturing departments to resolve operational issues.
+ Assist in developing new engineering team members on essential tasks and tools.
+ Serve as subject matter expert for specific products or processes when applicable.
+ Perform time studies to establish new production rates.
+ Identify needs and promote continuous improvement beyond assigned responsibilities.
+ Continuously seek new opportunities to improve processes and products.
**Background and Skills**
- Bachelor's degree in engineering required, preferably Industrial, Mechanical or Electro-mechanical Engineering, or a comparable combination of training and experience.
- At least two (2) years of specifically related experience required.
- Knowledge and experience with lean tools and principles would be beneficial.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Proficiency with the following software and machines (Preferred but not required):
o GerbTool - Stencil Development and ordering and PCB layer design review.
o Aegis - SMT machine assembly programs, work instruction.
o SMT (Surface Mount Technology) machines
o Reflow Ovens
o AOI Machines
o Axial Insertion
o Wave Solder
o PCB (Printed Circuit Boards) Wash

Job Description
The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and reviewing the procedures and equipment involved in the manufacturing process. The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for owning, evaluating, and optimizing current and new processes to drive efficiencies in production using lean tools. They must design and implement manufacturing methods and processes that continually improve employee safety, product quality, and labor productivity goals and objectives for both new and existing products.
**Key Responsibilities**

- Practitioner, facilitator, & champion of VBS tools identified collectively with manager.
- Demonstrates the ability to identify needs and promote continuous improvement outside of areas of responsibility.
- Continually seeks new opportunities to improve both processes and products.
**Background and Skills**
- Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred. In Industrial, Mechanical or Electro-mechanical Engineering, or a comparable combination of training and experience.
- At least three (3) years of specifically related experience required.
- Knowledge and experience with lean tools and principles would be beneficial.
- Continuous Improvement and/or Cost Saving Project Experience.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Experience with AutoCAD or Solidworks is a plus.

- Assist in running the SMT line
- Loading reeled components on feeders
- Be trained to run SMT line for vacation relief
- Maintain clean work environment
- Perform other related duties as requested, directed or assigned. May work in other areas within the manufacturing department as needed.
Candidate Requirements:
- Experience with electronic components in an electronic manufacturing environment
- Strong attention to detail is required
- Be results oriented, self-motivated, and a team player
- Hours of work: 7:00am to 3:30pm Monday through Friday
