In this key role, you will provide manufacturing engineering leadership throughout a new model development program - from initial concept through final assembly. This will involve the application of lean manufacturing principles to ensure the highest quality, most efficient processes and products possible. You will:
+ Provide manufacturing engineering leadership throughout a new model development program, beginning at initial concept through launch at the final assembly facility.
+ Development of tooling and facilities based on product and process.
+ Apply lean manufacturing principles.
+ Lead virtual manufacturing assembly builds.
+ Drive resolution of manufacturing issues.
+ Interface with Design and Release activities.
+ Develop formal assembly process instructions and enter the process sheets into VPS system.
+ Lead assembly tooling specification purchase, installation, start-up, and commissioning at the assembly site.
+ Track all open tooling and process issues and drive to closure including meeting all exit criteria deliverables - cycle time, throughput, workstation readiness, etc.
+ Prepare management presentations.
+ Drive quality, cost and labor improvements.
+ Support new model launches. During launches, the position will require extensive travel, standing, and walking in a plant environment.
+ Deliver dimensionally in-spec parts for their respective system. Understand component data and a system impact.
+ Deliver cycle line layouts and work with the assembly plants to have a complete operator/equipment workstation ready for launch.
+ Operate in stressful situations within timing constraints
+ Work with minimal direct supervision
**You'll have.**
+ Bachelor's degree in mechanical or an equivalent manufacturing engineering
+ Willingness to travel and support launch activities at our North American Assembly plants (USA, Canada & Mexico)
+ Travel is required including co-location at a North American Assembly plant for 9 or more months depending on scale of vehicle launch.
+ 1 or more years of Microsoft Office experience to include Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
+ Up to 40-50% travel required

+ Solid background with virtual manufacturing tools
+ Experience with tooling, process, quality, and or facility equipment in a production environment.
+ Excellent communication and presentation skills

The Manufacturing Master Scheduler, reporting directly to the Director of Operations. The scheduler will assist in all capacities to maintain supply/demand balance relative to labor capacity, externally supplied material lead times and ensure on time delivery to the customer need. Translate program demand plans into ERP system forecasts and then, upon project funding, release executable demand and drive schedule fidelity through to customer delivery. The preferred candidate will be an individual with bias for action, strategic thinking, data analysis, problem solving, exceptional customer focus, communications, and a sound foundation in Material Planning and Production Control practices.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Create program specific forecasts in the Oracle ERP system and support proposal activities by providing scheduling and lead time analysis
+ Review MRP output of time phased requirements, compare against total shop load and standard lead times, adjust forecast as necessary to avoid overloading/constraining work centers or compressing material procurement
+ Communicate need dates for funding/demand release along with schedule commitments back to the program
+ Convert forecast to released system demand upon program authorization
+ Identify supply/demand imbalances and resolve them through collaboration with ISC cross-functional team
+ Re-schedule released demand per agreed upon recovery schedule worked out with production management
+ Prepare and speak to PowerPoint slides highlighting schedule risks and mitigation actions
+ Maintain product family forecasts of funded and un-funded work across all businesses extending out 24-36 months into the future
+ Lead Sales, Inventory, Operations Planning (SIOP) process and report-out meetings to executive leadership
+ Perform data extraction and analysis to determine focus areas of improvement and accurate decision-making.
+ Participate in continuous improvement activities that span various factory areas and locations

EXPERIENCE & PREFERRED SKILLS:
+ Bachelor's degree preferred in supply chain or a related degree with 2 years of experience in supply chain management. Or, 6-8 years of experience in supply chain management in lieu of a degree.
+ APICS CPIM certification a plus
+ Supply Chain Management experience in DoD environment is preferred.
+ Previous planning experience and understanding of MRP logic
+ Attention to detail and effective communication.
+ Oracle ERP system, Excel, and PowerPoint
+ Strong oral and written communication skills.
+ Ability to communicate with all levels of personnel.
+ Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and manage multiple priorities efficiently (able to multi-task) to meet changing deadlines
+ Ability to gather, analyze and summarize data to develop appropriate actions.
+ Strong negotiating and interpersonal relations skills.
+ Ability to follow processes and procedures and to direct others in doing so.
+ Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
+ Seeking critical role of developing and managing achievable production schedules for an entire factory servicing multiple businesses
+ Occasional travel may be required
+ The ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance is required.
Textron's compensation package includes competitive base pay and provides eligible employees with benefit programs. The pay range should be used as a general guide only. Compensation is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
In compliance with the local pay transparency law, the pay range for this position is
$07,500 - 163,500 per year.
