Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods and processes on the shop floor.
- Collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to troubleshoot issues and optimize productivity.
- Design, procure, and implement tools, fixtures, and equipment for manufacturing.
- Analyze production workflow and layout for continuous improvement opportunities.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles (5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, etc.).
- Support the introduction of new products (NPI) into the production environment, Time study including process validation and documentation.
- Prepare and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Monitor and report on production metrics such as Time study ,cycle time , scrap rate, and OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness).
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality regulations.
- Participate in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) activities.
- Support production teams by identifying and resolving basic manufacturing and process issues.
- Assist in time studies, workflow analysis, and line balancing to optimize labor and machine usage.
- Collaborate with senior engineers and technicians to improve layouts, reduce waste, and increase productivity.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing and 5S principles.
- Collect and analyze data related to production rates, quality issues, and equipment utilization.
- Help document standard work procedures, work instructions, and SOPs.
- Participate in the implementation of new equipment, processes, or materials.
- Work cross-functionally with Quality, Maintenance, and Safety teams to ensure compliance and smooth operations.
- Observe and report on manufacturing metrics such as downtime, scrap, and cycle time.
- Learn and apply ERP or MES systems for tracking and planning production activities.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing, time studies, and basic process mapping (training can be provided).
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and basic CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.).
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to work on the shop floor and learn from hands-on experience.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and production scheduling.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.

- Install, maintain and repair complex automatic controls, generating equipment, transformers, motor control centers, and related electrical equipment, including PLC’s and VFD’s.
- Install, maintain and repair motors and power distribution systems, including transformers, motor starters, switchgear etc.
- Perform soldering as required for installations or repairs.
- Perform troubleshooting of PLC’s and using PLC’s for troubleshooting of electrical systems.
- Program and troubleshoot VFD’s using HIM module and / or other tools or software.
- Be familiar with and capable of, operating and working in a Bucket Truck and / or man-lift.

Job Description
Will perform operations on castings for surface preparation such as blasting, belting, grinding, and benching according to production specifications to produce parts of exceptional quality in the Gibsonton Florida Location.
**How You'll Make an Impact**
+ Setting up and operating benching procedures on castings using basic tools like die grinders, tool belts, buffing wheels, blast cabinets, and auxiliary equipment.
+ Preparing castings to be visually inspected.
+ Using Mercury to verify serial numbers, adjusting machines, performing troubleshooting, and maintaining the quality of the parts produced.
+ Performing improvement analysis and basic or defined maintenance operations with maintenance technicians or external service providers.
+ Cross training and other duties may be assigned as needed.
**What You Bring**
+ Minimum of High School Diploma or GED is required.
+ One or more years of experience using hand tools, a background with plastics or ceramics extrusions or injection/blow mold is a plus.
+ Experience with inspection Equipment (calipers, pin gauges, etc.) is a plus.
+ Able to perform math functions using the metric system and read engineering instructions.
+ Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
+ This position will require an export license fromthe Department of Commerce, Bureau of Industry and Security and/or theDepartment of State, Directorate of Defense Trade Controls. Issuance ofany required license is a prerequisite for this position. The candidatemust be able to work with export-controlled technology in accordance withUS export control law.
