The Manufacturing Engineer works to sustain continual improvement with business processes using lean manufacturing and other improvement techniques. **What will your typical day look like?**
+ Develops, observes, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods and processes to reduce costs.
+ Lead the operational team with a project based continuous improvement mindset, looking for innovative ways to execute production plan
+ Manage various cost accounts and projects associated with expense reductions.
+ Review and analysis of space requirements, and workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
+ Confers with planning and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.
+ Develop and execute process improvement strategies that challenge existing operational paradigms
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to redesign workflows and introduce innovative manufacturing techniques

Job Description
We are hiring a Sr Project Engineer where you'll lead the planning and execution of high-impact capital projects that drive growth and efficiency. In this role, you'll take projects from concept to commissioning-managing vendors, timelines, budgets, and cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities:
+ Lead and manage end-to-end capital projects, including scope, design, budgeting, scheduling, and execution.
+ Develop capital requests with cash-flow forecasting and project justification.
+ Oversee equipment selection, factory layout, vendor coordination, and bid processes to ensure cost-effective solutions.
+ Ensure alignment and communication with cross-functional stakeholders across Global Supply Chain (GSC).
+ Execute all phases of project delivery: design (e.g., FMEA, safety, sanitary), implementation (FAT/SAT), and startup (CQV, VSU).
+ Support major corporate engineering initiatives and provide technical expertise to plant operations.
+ Drive continuous improvement and technology upgrades by staying current with industry best practices.
+ Collaborate with R&D, Quality, and Operations to support trials, new product launches, and loss elimination initiatives.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (ABET accredited program preferred).
+ Minimum 7+ year with successful project management leadership on multi-unit operation projects.
+ Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and troubleshooting abilities.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
+ Proficient in CAD and engineering drawing practices.
+ Solid understanding of design, construction, and installation standards.
+ Advanced knowledge of processing, packaging, and facility systems in a food manufacturing environment.
+ Familiarity with EHS standards and regulatory compliance (USDA, FDA, OSHA, EPA, state/local).
+ Proven ability to influence and collaborate across functions and levels.
+ Skilled in training and coordinating with maintenance, production teams, and external vendors.
+ Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles preferred.
Compensation and Benefits:
The base salary range for this position is $90,750 to $151,250 annually with eligibility for a 10% annual incentive bonus, that is based on organizational performance. The pay range represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to educations, skills, work experience, certifications, geography etc. As such, starting pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range. **Roles and Responsibilities**
+ Accountable for partnering with the Global Machine & Fabrications commodity - Strategy Leader(s), Buying Leader(s), Buyers, Contract Performance Managers - to drive cost productivity on sourced parts.
+ Lead a team of senior professional direct reports. Has the ability to attract and retain talent. Often manages medium to large teams. Developing expertise in own function.
+ Interprets internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve total cost for sourced hardware. Utilizes understanding of industry trends to inform decision making process.
+ Ownership of a cost project pipeline, and responsible for the yield of project completion and savings.
+ Leverage network internal to sourcing and external network with GE shop part families, GE engineering, and GE product line businesses to look for the best solutions to provide parts at the right value to the customer - including make vs. buy, new technologies or manufacturing processes, lean or process improvements, design changes, etc.
+ Leads others to find creative solutions within complex manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles. FM Approvals Website ( auditor position within the Auditing and Quality Assurance department of FM Approvals. The role of the Quality Auditor II will be to independently schedule and conduct at customer location conformity assessment audits at predetermined frequencies. Audits include various manufacturers responsible for making products that carry the FM Approvals' certification mark. FM Approved products cover a wide range of electrical, fire protection, and building materials equipment.
Incumbent is expected to have a solid base of auditing experience and demonstrated proficiency in conducting FM Approvals conformity assessment audits independently. The work assigned to candidates will be well defined and implemented with limited supervision. The complexity and size of audit assignments will vary significantly but will be limited to non QSR FM Approvals audits. Decisions regarding the scope of work performed may be delegated to an individual in this position with oversight by supervisors or managers.
**Schedule & Location:**
This is a full time Field position, reporting into the Malvern, PA Office with occasional travel to Malvern, PA a minimum 2 times a year for corporate meetings.
This role will support a team of dedicated auditors who focus on conducting surveillance audits in the following mid-Atlantic States: Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, and District of Columbia). The role requires approximately 70% travel and 30% of travel may require overnight flexibility.
- Effectively perform audits and evaluate audit/test results, weighing the relevancy, accuracy, and perspective of conclusions against the accumulated audit/test evidence acquired during audits
- Consistently document relevant facts and information which support the work performed and conclusions drawn so other reviewers can follow the auditor's logic and methodology
- Accurately report on a wide variety of witness testing against defined criteria and do so such that the work is competently and efficiently performed in accordance with professional and FM Approvals standards
- Communicate audit results effectively, both verbally and in writing, such that they are persuasive, placed in the appropriate context, and well understood by the recipient
**Required Education:**
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Science field
**Highly Preferred Education:**
- Hold an ASQ, RABQSA / Exemplar Global or equivalent Lead Auditor Certification
**Required Work Experience:**
- 5+ years of manufacturing process experience
- 5+ years of related quality assurance and quality auditing experience
- Tenured audit experience with demonstrated proficiency performing FM Approvals conformity assessment audits
**Highly Preferred Work Experience:**
- Process control experience is preferred. CSA/UL experience is highly preferred.
- ISO 9001, 17020, 17025 and/or 17065 experience
**Required Skills:**
