POSITION SUMMARY
Jireh Semiconductor is BUSY! We are looking to fill several entry-level roles. Become a Fab Technician and start your career today! This position performs functions associated with all wafer production operations, including photolithography, thin film, etch, BGBM and diffusion. Performs set-up, calibration and preventative maintenance tasks on wafer fabrication equipment. Multiple compressed workweek shifts available, see below.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Operates & evaluates all process and metrology equipment within assigned area, upon successful completion of certification by trainer and engineer.
- Assures equipment meets all qualification and maintenance schedules as required by specification before processing product.
- Evaluates both product and qualification wafers through measurement and/or visual inspection. Responsible for accurate entry of that data into workstream system for assessment of processing using SPC controls.
- Escalates any failure of product and/or qualification wafers to engineering for evaluation.
- Escalates any process or metrology equipment errors to the equipment technicians for repair and recovery.
- Follows safe work practices and procedures to assure the safety of oneself and others, Escalates any safety violations or concerns to supervisor to address.
- Responsible for proper disposal of any and all waste generated on site as required by Cleanroom Protocol specification.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Must be able to carry pods weighing up to 12 pounds using two hands repetitively over a 12 hour period. Must be able to pick pods from and place pods to storage racks ranging in height from the knees to the shoulders.
- Must be able to push/pull carts of pods ranging from 50 to 100 pounds as necessary for transport of material from one area to the next.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended time periods during a 12 hour shift.
- Must be able to comply with clean room specifications that require all technicians to wear a clean room suit, including hood, mask, protective eye-wear and clean room boots.
- Manual process areas (CMP, Sort, BGBM) also required to grasp cassette handle with one hand while supporting cassette, weighing up to 12 pounds, with the other hand to manually load process equipment in the area.
Temp to hire opening 6-12 months, conversion based on company needs. This position will be staffed by an existing agency partner.
Shifts Available:
A shift Front End Days Sunday-Tuesday every other Wednesday
B shift Front End Nights every other Saturday, Sun-Tues
C shift Back End Days every other Wednesday Thur-Sat
D shift Back Nights Wed-Fri every other Saturday
QUALIFICATIONS AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- No experience required!
- Must have basic computer skills needed to run automated process controls.
- Must be able to make calculations required for data entry to SPC controls, using a calculator as needed.
- Must be able to visually inspect wafers, pods, process tools, etc. for evaluation of processes.
- Must be able to read and comprehend specifications to achieve certifications required for technician duties.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with team, supervisor, and support personnel to achieve productive goals while maintaining commitments to the safety and quality of the workplace.

Purpose
The Manufacturing Safety Manager supports safety efforts across multiple facilities, ensuring consistent implementation of Roseburg’s safety programs, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement. This role mentors site safety teams, drives accountability, and promotes a strong, proactive safety culture company-wide.
Key Responsibilities
- Ability to travel to and conduct safety assessments of facilities to identify deficiencies and best practices.
- Assist facilities in the development and implementation of Roseburg safety and occupational health programs
- Regular onsite support to the manufacturing facilities
- Assist in the training and mentoring of all Roseburg mill leadership in safety practices and etiquette including but not limited to mill safety team members
- Guide the Incident Investigation process and ensure the determination of root causes and effective corrective actions
- Track corrective action plans through to completion and ensure Roseburg standards and policies are being upheld
- Provide support in the interview and hiring process for safety position vacancies, promotions, and internal transfers
- Compile company safety performance data and present to both mills and company leadership in a professional format as required
- Support local resources in the preparation and drafting of responses to State OSHA, Federal OSHA, Ontario WSIB, and any other Safety regulatory agencies
- Conduct significant incident investigations at facilities owned by Roseburg and support significant incident investigations at Roseburg Resources job sites
- Conduct quarterly site plan reviews with EHS staff to ensure mills are progressing towards year end targets and objectives
- Conduct regular check-ins with all mill safety staff based on needs of mill managers and site-specific challenges
- Lead monthly safety update calls with all safety mill staff including building agenda, encouraging team member participation, and delivering meaningful content to team members
- Coordinate corporate industrial hygiene program and ensure facilities are complying with regulatory limits and internal policy standards on frequency of testing
- Ensure compliance with all legal and other requirements at facilities through implementation of Roseburg’s safety management systems and tools
- Partner with HR resources at both the individual mills as well as Division level to ensure equitable practices are being applied at all facilities with regards to safety
- Develop and implement company safety objectives with direction from Manufacturing Leadership Council

Required Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree required in Occupational Safety and Health or closely related field and a minimum of 5 – 7 years of safety and health experience preferably in the wood products industry
- Experience and thorough working knowledge of all applicable local, state, and federal safety and health regulations
- Ability to monitor, analyze, and make recommendations relative to compliance with safety laws and regulations
- Ability to analyze safety trends and implement system level corrective actions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Computer Skills – Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Excellent interpersonal, listening, verbal, and electronic communications
- Strong teaching, coaching, facilitation, and mentoring skills
- Ability to maintain composure when working with regulatory authorities, plant management, and company executives

The Position
Under the direction of the Process Unit Lead or other qualified Operations Specialist, perform a wide variety of tasks and operations that are required to formulate, fill, inspect and package sterile pharmaceutical products in a state-of-the-art, automated production and packaging facility. Troubleshoot, maintain, and assemble all production equipment as required.
Shift schedule: Night Shift: Wednesday- Friday and Alternating Saturday from 6:00 pm - 6:30 am
The opportunity:
Assist the Operations Specialist on major equipment overhauls, repairs, and installations as necessary. All operations will be carried out in compliance with cGMPs, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), product recipes, and Genentech standards.
In addition to performing the responsibilities/tasks below, the successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following traits and capabilities:

Assist in set up, change over, and test run equipment for various-sized vials or pre-filled syringes and packages as required.

Supporting the Operations Specialist Maintenance and/or outside services in the repair, maintenance, and calibration of GNE Systems as required. This includes executing user performed and routine maintenance.

Assist in the development and improvement of HTO SOP's and training materials.

Execute production recipes, check in equipment, and move materials using automated computer software applications (SAP and MES systems).

Operate equipment related to preparing sterile components, formulation, sterile filling, inspection, and final vial packaging in the plant.

Perform all documentation and clerical functions prior to start-up, during processing, and at the completion of the manufacturing process to ensure the proper accountability and traceability of components and finished products.

Assist in the cleaning, set-up, sterilization, and disassembly of a variety of processing equipment.
-
Performing a manual inspection of empty vials and filled products focused on quality and efficiency.

Conduct environmental monitoring activities in the manufacturing areas as required including routine cleaning and housekeeping activities to maintain environmental grade of each manufacturing area.

At the start and finish of each shift, report and make recommendations regarding equipment, supplies, required repairs, process concerns, safety concerns, and areas for reliability, yield, and efficiency improvement.

You have 2 to 4 years (within the last 7 years) experience minimum in the operation of complex electro-mechanical equipment used in the washing, filling, conveying, sealing, inspection and packaging of products/containers is highly desirable.
The expected salary range for this position, based on the primary location of Oregon is $43,790 - $8,000.

The expected salary range for this position, based on the primary location of Oregon, is 49,500 - 75,000
