As a Manufacturing Tech will be:
- Is trained and certified to perform at least one of the following functions:
- Inspection and photographing of wafers.
- Cleaning material used in manufacturing to produce product.
- Plucking diced wafers.
- Visual inspection of gratings according to specified pass/failed criteria
- Labeling of grating product, taking final photos, operate labeling software.
- Optical efficiency testing of reflective and transmission gratings
- Flatness testing using Zygo interferometer
- Total Thickness Variation (TTV) testing using TTV test station.
- Operating coating chamber
- Operating bonding rig
- Fills out work station traveler and tray travelers
- Operates tools needed for production,
- Halts production and advises Production lead on any tool malfunction.
- Halts production and reports to Production lead when low production yield occurs
- at any workstation.
- Monitors supplies required for production and report shortages to Production lead
- Continuously looks for ways to improve quality, productivity and yield, submits
- suggestions to the Director of Operations.

* Manage production activities associated with Entegris' CMP Pads business
* Manage a compressed work week (CWW) team of 5-8 direct reports with 20-40 second level reports
* Be accountable for the safety, quality, cost, throughput, and on-time shipment of critical products for the demanding semiconductor industry
* Translate manufacturing strategies into operational objectives, goals, and metrics to drive performance improvements in the areas of EHS, quality, on-time delivery, and cost to enable the profitable growth of the businesses

* Manage the training program for manufacturing personnel in the operation of new and existing equipment and process

The Operations organization at HTO is divided into 2 value streams, which combine to produce millions of units of life-saving medicine every year to patients around the world.
The Opportunity:
Under the direction of the Process Unit Leader, the Inspection Technician performs a wide variety of tasks and operations that are required to support filling, inspection and packaging of sterile pharmaceutical products in a state-of-the-art, automated filling and packaging facility. Troubleshoot, maintain, and assemble all production equipment as required. Assist the Operations Specialist on major equipment overhauls, repairs, and installations as necessary. All operations will be carried out in compliance with cGMPs, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), product recipes, and Genentech/Roche standards.
The schedule for this position is Day Shift, Monday to Thursday, from 5:30 am to 4:00pm.
* Safety and Compliance: Adhere to plant safety policies and procedures, perform safety and housekeeping audits, and proactively identify unsafe conditions.
* Equipment Setup and Maintenance: Assist in setting up, changing over, and testing equipment; support maintenance and repair of systems; and participate in training other Technicians.

In addition to performing the responsibilities/tasks below, the successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following traits and capabilities:

Assist in the development and improvement of HTO SOP's and training materials.
Execute production recipes, check in equipment, and move materials using automated computer software applications (SAP and MES systems).
Operate equipment related to preparing sterile components, formulation, sterile filling, inspection, and final vial packaging in the plant.
Perform all documentation and clerical functions prior to start-up, during processing, and at the completion of the manufacturing process to ensure the proper accountability and traceability of components and finished products.
Assist in the cleaning, set-up, sterilization, and disassembly of a variety of processing equipment.
Performing a manual inspection of empty vials and filled products focused on quality and efficiency.
Conduct environmental monitoring activities in the manufacturing areas as required including routine cleaning and housekeeping activities to maintain environmental grade of each manufacturing area.
At the start and finish of each shift, report and make recommendations regarding equipment, supplies, required repairs, process concerns, safety concerns, and areas for reliability, yield, and efficiency improvement.

The expected salary range for this position, based on the primary location of Oregon is $43,790 - $8,000.

You have a High school diploma or equivalent. Or, you are a Graduate of a two-year Associate's Degree program in Electro-Mechanical Discipline (or equivalent).
You have 3 to 5 years (within the last 7 years) experience minimum in the operation of complex electro-mechanical equipment used in the washing, filling, conveying, sealing, inspection and packaging of products/containers is highly desirable.

Qualifications:
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Experience would be obtained through a combination of prior education level classes, and current level school classes, projects, research, and relevant previous job and/or internship experience.
Education: Candidate must be enrolled/pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Microelectronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or related STEM field with 3+ months of educational or industry experience.
Preferred Qualification: A GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Department Summary
The Manufacturing Academy Rotational Program (MARP) is a rotational development program. The program hires top talent who have graduated within the last two years from college with a bachelors degree or associate's degree and prepares them for successful contributions to Genentechs Pharma Technical Operations (PT) Manufacturing team at the Hillsboro Individualized Therapies (HIT) site.
The program gives MARP Analysts the opportunity to gain a broad perspective on the core manufacturing and support functions that are critical to the manufacturing of Genentech/Roche products. MARP analysts can rotate in any of the manufacturing and support areas at Hillsboro Individualized Therapies (HIT) including: Manufacturing Operations, Facilities & Engineering, Warehousing and Distribution Operations, Analytical Development and Testing, and Quality.
This internship position is located inHillsboro, on-site.
The Opportunity
In this position, you will work as part of a team responsible for ensuring successful and efficient laboratory, manufacturing, operations, equipment, and facility startup. Types of activities include:
Aseptic work in a biosafety cabinet.
Creating material kits for manufacturing.
Helping with utility and equipment maintenance.
Following SOPs to perform a variety of GMP activities.
Must have the ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities and have the flexibility to support plant operations in accordance to schedule.
Program Highlights
Intensive 24 months, full-time (40 hours per week) paid internship.
Program start dates are in August.

Who You Are (Required)
Required Education: You meet one of the following criteria:
Must have attained an Associate's Degree.
Must have attained a Bachelor's Degree.
Required Majors:
Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Cell/Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Genetics, Microbiology, Bioengineering, Chemical/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering.
Required Skills:
Manufacturing Operations related internships or work experience.
Passion and motivation to contribute to Genentechs manufacturing organization.
Benchwork/lab work experience preferred (PCR, purification, cell culture).
Automation experience is a plus.
Knowledge of FDA requirements and other regulatory requirements related to cleanroom operations preferred.
Previous experience with personalized therapies (autologous, cell, gene) is a plus.
Must be able to lift 45 pounds and stand for extended periods of time.
Candidates must pass a vision acuity and color discrimination test.
Must complete periodic physical examinations to identify medical conditions which may pose a risk to Grade A/Aseptic operations.
Must be able to travel as needed.
Flexibility to work in shifts and required overtime as needed for the role/function.

Hillsboro Technical Operations (HTO) is a drug product & finished goods manufacturing organization responsible for the reliable delivery of Roche's commercial portfolio & pipeline products. The Operations organization at HTO is divided into 2 value streams, which combine to produce millions of units of life-saving medicine every year to patients around the world.
Your Opportunity:
Under the direction of the Process Unit Lead or other qualified Operations Specialist, perform a wide variety of tasks and operations that are required to formulate, fill, inspect and package sterile pharmaceutical products in a state-of-the-art, automated production and packaging facility. Troubleshoot, maintain, and assemble all production equipment as required. Assist the Operations Specialist on major equipment overhauls, repairs, and installations as necessary. All operations will be carried out in compliance with cGMPs, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), product recipes, and Genentech standards.

Responsibilities :
Adhere to plant safety policies, perform safety audits, and ensure a safe working environment.
Assist in equipment setup, changeover, testing, repair, maintenance, calibration, and training of other technicians.
Operate and manage formulation, sterile filling, inspection, packaging equipment, and execute production recipes using SAP and MES systems.
Perform bulk thaw, dilution, formulation operations, environmental monitoring, manual inspection of vials, and preparation of sterile components.
Maintain accurate documentation for accountability and traceability, and report on equipment, supplies, repairs, process concerns, and improvements in safety, reliability, yield, and efficiency.
Perform cleaning and housekeeping duties as required.
Who You Are:
You are a computer literate, including the ability to interface with computer systems and PLC-based logic. You are comfortable working with Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), navigating through web pages and e-mail.
(MT2) Manufacturing Associate Technician:
You have a High School Diploma or equivalent with 1 to 2 years (within the last 7 years) experience in the operation of complex mechanical equipment used in the washing, filling, conveying, sealing, inspection and packaging of products/containers is highly desirable. Target industries include pharmaceutical, biotechnology, biomedical, electronic, and chemical, food, cosmetics, and/or other medical industries.
The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Hillsboro is $42,420 - $8,780.
(MT3) Senior Manufacturing Associate Technician:
You have a High School Diploma or equivalent with 3 to 5 years (within the last 7 years) experience in the operation of complex mechanical equipment used in the washing, filling, conveying, sealing, inspection and packaging of products/containers is highly desirable. Target industries include pharmaceutical, biotechnology, biomedical, electronic, and chemical, food, cosmetics, and/or other medical industries.
Preferred/Desired:
You are a graduate of a two-year Associates Degree program in Electrical/Mechanical Technology (or equivalent).
Work Environment/Physical Demands/ Safety Considerations:
Proficiency in the English language- reading, writing, and communication.
Must be able to work all shifts (1st, 2nd, or 3rd), required overtime as needed.
Must pass all job related medical examinations and tests
