Amerlux, a pioneer in the lighting industry for over 35 years, is seeking a Manufacturing Assembly Line Planner to join our production team in our Oakland, NJ production facility. Work schedule is Monday - Friday 6:00am to 2:30pm. Must be able to work OT and Saturdays from 5:30am to 11:30am based on business needs.The primary responsibility of the Manufacturing Assembly Line Planner is to make sure that each day's scheduled run of items occurs without incident. They are responsible for all material flow to their specific production lines, and the work order creation and material transactions that support this flow. This position will report to the Sr. Director of Production and assist in ensuring a smooth production operation to meet lead time commitments, keeping orders shipped up to date and notifying the Purchasing team of any physical variances in inventory. The Production Planner needs to be detail orientated and follow up on planned schedules, revised schedules and resolve any problems quickly and appropriately under the guidance of the Director of Production Planning & Procurement. Job Responsibilities Include: Ensures that assigned assembly production lines have all necessary materials to begin assembly prior to the start of the shift. Train and mentors material handlers/pickers for planner's specific product. Accountable for the picks done for their lines, and responsible for doing periodic checks to ensure accuracy of material brought to the lines. Assists with the creation of work orders for any Fabrication or paint required respective to their products, accountable for ensuring that theses work orders are handled correctly and closed appropriately to maximize inventory accuracy. Advises Material Handlers of components needed by pulling information from BOM's, pick sheets, and engineering drawings. Schedule workflow orders, ensuring the master schedule is followed and lead times are met. Reports any physical variance in inventory to Purchasing Expeditor and Sr. Director of Production and trouble shoot issues that delay schedules to meet unforeseen conditions. Works with Material Handlers to ensure no production stoppages occur due to component shortage and report any stoppages that occur on the production floor that cause a deviation from the master schedule to Management. Actively participates with continuous improvement projects in an effort to improve lead times, quality and delivery, etc. Assists Production Management in ensuring Production and Material Handlers are keeping the production floor clean at all times, that their area is free of unneeded tools and parts at the end of the shift, and any excess inventory is properly returned. Meets safety and quality expectations while adhering to all OSHA and Amerlux requirements. Other duties as deemed appropriate by Management and the Company. Skills & Prior Experiences Include: High School Diploma/GED Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a Warehouse and/or Manufacturing environment. Must be able to read and comprehend English to understand work instructions and drawings; bilingual English/Spanish a plus. Must demonstrate excellent communication skills with various departments and levels of Management. Experience with Microsoft Office applications. Experience with Oracle and thorough understanding of MRP / ERP Systems. Ability to multitask and manage changing business conditions is essential. Working experience in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma environments preferred. The hourly range for this position is between $20 and $22 per hour, based on candidates skills and experiences. Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Assembly, Test, and Quality Control Engineer to join our team. In this vital role, you will assemble cutting-edge products, conduct thorough testing to ensure they exceed quality standards and specifications, and play a key role in our quality control processes. Required Skills and Experience:

  • Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
  • Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.

  • Possess a mechanical aptitude, basic math and problem-solving skills

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand for 8 hours/day while making coordinated movements of the hands and fingers to grasp/pinch, manipulate and assemble objects. This may include frequent use of vibrating/pneumatic tools, overhead and outstretched reaching with arms, bending/twisting/stooping, kneeling/squatting and frequently lifting/carrying up to 70 lbs throughout the day and occasionally push/pull/lift up to 100 lbs as needed. Although on a regular basis lifting requirements may not exceed 40 lbs. Occasionally, depending on the tasks assigned for the day, you may have to sit or stand more or less frequently. Typical assembly work is repetitive in nature.
  • Steel-toed shoes are required for working in this position. Regular production/warehouse environment (no air conditioning).

Preferred qualification:
