Job Description

GENERAL PURPOSE

This position is responsible for performing light assembly, machining, or packaging of manufactured products while maintaining the specified the quality, efficiency, and inventory control requirements. Work assignments will be scheduled based on training proficiency.

DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Perform light assembly and/or basic machining operations according to work assignment description and scheduling. Follow the production and quality procedures by following prints and checking materials for defects, maintain production. Read and interpret assembly drawings to perform basic assembly and machining operations

• Ability to understand and execute verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed Inspect work to validate quality and accuracy

• Transport products as required to the correct location when completed utilize the proper material handling methods. Monitor and replenish raw materials as required for the post of operation

• Completed all documentation and electronic data updates as required Prepare and package units for shipment as required

• Assist with other duties within the department and/or other workstations/departments when necessary Complete clean-up responsibilities and maintain work station according to 5S procedure

Although on a regular basis lifting requirements may not exceed 40 lbs. Occasionally, depending on the tasks assigned for the day, you may have to sit or stand more or less frequently. Typical assembly work is repetitive in nature.

About the role
Our Clark location is part of our Taste Division, producing flavors and ingredients. Our Clark facility is unique in the sense they have two buildings. The North building has a fruitier smell to it, the teams in that building are producing natural flavoring and essential oils. The South building is the complete opposite, it will have savory and garlic smells because the team is producing seasonings for meat, chicken broth, and beef gravy.

The typical hiring range for this role is $22.00 per hour and is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications. This position may also be eligible for a shift differential and/or overtime. Dry Blending Operator
Description and Responsibilities
Training will take place on a first shift or on off shifts. Must be available for weekend work as needed. *Shift subject to change*
1. Compound formulas accurately by weight and by ingredients and ensure that the best methodology is utilized based upon the particular product or mix.
2. Possess and apply working knowledge of all raw materials before use, i.e: mixing/heating to ensure quality and consistency in batches.
3. Utilize inventory lot rotation (FIFO) for all materials used.
4. Possess and apply working knowledge of all pumps, mixers, scales, fork trucks, high density storage units, meters, and computers.
5. Follow all manufacturing instructions on formula batch sheet using proper mixing techniques to ensure product quality.
6. Properly label all batches submitted to the lab for evaluation.
7. Follow all 5S and Good Manufacturing Practices to maintain good housekeeping and ensure compliance with all safety and environmental laws and regulations.
8. Proper handling of Allergen products and equipment according to Allergen Control Procedures
9. Other duties assigned by Management
Qualifications and skills
Minimum Requirements:
HS or equivalent experience
Must have experience within the Flavor or a closely related industry.
Must be proficient in compounding techniques and raw materials.
Must be proficient in the use of scales and other compounding equipment

Key responsibilities
Milling and Blending Operator
Responsibilities:
+ Milling: Adhering to batch sheet instructions to mill required material. Calculating supplemental ingredients and material issuing on SAP via computer/scanner.
+ Blending: Adjusting scale based on batch sheet to fill required weight of boxes/drums. Following batch sheet to abide by product specific requirement for filling boxes/drums.
+ Sealing & Stacking: Operating MTEK sealer to vacuum seal filled liners. Ensuring finished packaged product conforms to company standards and arranging products on a pallet in a predetermined sequence.
+ Sanitation: Adhering to SOP instructions to clean and sanitize equipment and room.
Qualifications and skills
Minimum Requirements for Consideration:
Minimum 6 months experience in warehouse/manufacturing environment. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., push up to a 450 lb. and stand for prolonged periods. Read, write and understand the English language. Follow Proper housekeeping and sanitary GMP procedures to prevent product contamination; use clean tools and utensils, and properly stored or hung to prevent product contamination.
