Principal Duties / Responsibilities:

• Promotes and adheres to the ATS safety culture.
• Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and ATS policies and procedures.
• Partners with internal/external customer for engineered solutions to improve reliability and throughput.
• Identifies opportunities for Capital Expenditures for equipment replacement with supervision (develops and communicates ROI).
• Champions operating systems, critical elements, and best practices to enable a precision reliability culture.
• Knowledgeable application of common precision tools and practices.
• Fully understands reliability centered maintenance and deliverables (equipment specific maintenance plan -ESMP).
• Actively collaborates with maintenance team on the use of predictive, preventative, and precision maintenance technologies and strategies designed to identify or control risks prior to failure and ensure optimum maintenance execution. 
• Understands and performs failure mode & effects analysis.
• Advanced understanding of Work Execution Management (WEM) to train and mentor on gaps & improvements identified through reliability strategy session performance.
• Performs, trains, and coaches ATS Root Cause, Bad Actor, and Fault Tree Analysis.
• Collaborates with leadership on alignment of ATS/Customer KPIs.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (ABET accredited) or equivalent experience (ex. heavy industrial maintenance, reliability, or operations experience).

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

Job Summary

Guides the day-to-day activities for a team that ensures electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic servicing and efficient maintenance of production machinery and equipment, physical plant, utilities, and grounds. Ensures compliance with all regulations and company policies and procedures.  

Essential Functions:

·     Supervises the day-to-day activities of a team of entry level individual contributors. Provides guidance, coaching, and support to ensure successful completion of tasks. Participates in HR activities such as hiring, terminations, performance management, goal setting, team member development, scheduling, etc. Enforces systems, policies, and procedures.  

·     Directs the maintenance and repair of processing equipment, mobile equipment buildings and grounds in a safe and efficient manner.  

·     Develops, schedules, and controls a preventive maintenance program to maintain production machinery and equipment in proper working condition.  

·     Plans a continual work schedule to maintain all company property in a safe and healthy condition to achieve the best working conditions possible for all team members.  

·     Inspects jobs in process and at completion to ensure that standards of workmanship and safety are maintained.  

·     Ensures proper maintenance of facility machinery and building.  

·     Coordinates with Sanitation and Operations to ensure that the equipment is ready for production.  

·     Plans the work shift to allow time for activity in the Safety Accountability Process and the Maintenance accountability Program.  

·     Recommends, plans, and implements equipment needs to improve production efficiency and/or achieve cost reduction.  

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

·     Knowledge of practical use of Mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and hydraulic principals 

·     Understanding of the principal of machinery and the total process

Physical Demands:

·     While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, keyboard, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision and the ability to adjust focus. 

Work Environment:

·     Work will be performed in a variety of conditions including a climate-controlled office environment(s) and in a manufacturing plant environment with varying conditions, such as cold areas, wet areas, warm areas, chemicals, and other site conditions. This position requires the individual to wear and work in personal protective equipment while in the manufacturing environment.  

·     The noise level of the office environment is usually moderate; the noise level in the manufacturing environment may exceed 85 DBA and require hearing protection.

This Manufacturing Technician II will assemble, fit and mount sub-assemblies, components, and standard and near standard fixed assemblies in Motor Control Centers, Enclosed Control and related assemblies and sub-assemblies. Perform assembly required for test preparation and final inspection. Assemble and wire units, relay panels, panel boards, space heaters, and control panels. Bend and install power cable and leads, fabricate pre-cable unit, panel and MTB harnesses, and power leads. Use established power checking procedures and equipment to verify electrical/mechanical integrity of units assembled. Stage parts for customer orders. In this function you will: Work from oral or written instructions from supervision and/or prints, inspection reports, manufacturing information sheets, and standard or near standard wiring diagrams. Utilize manufacturing information sheets, determine necessary parts, write requisitions, and obtain materials from stock areas. Read shop orders and drawings to determine assembly procedures such as component types and configuration, mounting locations and clearances required. Assemble and fit parts and components to form sub-assemblies, or completed assemblies. Assemble and wire control devices, cutting wires to length. Make adjustments to insure correct alignment and clearances. Install units, pan assemblies and cover up steel, meters, kirk keys, pull boxes, reactors, relays, fuses, MTB assemblies, panel boards, space heaters, transformers, etc. by mounting / bolting into place. Assemble and install bus work such as lug adapters, cross over bus, splices, etc. Make pre-bent cable unit, MTB and control panel harnesses using pre-cable boards, control panels and hand crimp lugs if necessary. Cut, install and connect wire and/or cable in units where circuitry requires additional relays, timers, fuses, etc. Cut, form and connect control wire, power wire and cable, point to point on units, relay panels, control panels, and space heaters Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution. No relocation benefit is offered for this position.
